Visiting All Nottingham Tram Stops

  • There are 50 stops on the NET - that's the Nottingham Tram system, and here's why happened when myself and friend Jono (who's from Nottingham) got on and off at all the stops on the network.
Note, we weren't timing ourselves to set a "record" time, but but it took us roughly 6 hours in the end, including tea break!
Correction: I've spelled one of the stops 'Bramcoat Lane', when it should of course be 'Bramcote Lane'
If you want a copy of my Nottingham Tram map, it's available here on my Downloads page: geofftech.co.uk/downloads.html
The 'Tram' T-shirt (and other variants) is available to buy, here: dztz.store/listing/irish-tram

Visited Nottingham for the first time the other day - have to say I was really quite taken with the city . . . And being the transit nerd I am, i rode the whole tram network.
Very impressed with it! An excellent way to get around.

Ah, Radford Road tram stop. The memories - jumping off to nip in to the newsagent, which being no where near where I live, I could freely buy a copy of that month's Fiesta from. Then hop on the next tram and home for tea...

Nottingham public transport looks great. And publicly owned. Would be nice if we stopped messing around and learned that lesson once and for all.
But it really contrasts with the diesel EMR train. They’re not in control of the National Rail side and it shows.

It seems like the midland mainline is always the first to be promised electrification in any sort of spending plan, and the first to have the promise rescinded in the next round of budget cuts.. we should have got Ken Clarke to PM, he regularly commuted on that line, it’d have been upgraded in a month if he’d got the top job lol.

The government have gone back on their promise to electrify EMR. Diesel fumes right in the centre of the city

An excellently-designed system. I especially like the winding loop in the centre section.

If you ask some of the locals, and they may beg to differ.
