That's the story that inspired my comment (& your coincidentally finding metal stuck to a clamshell). / Not one version of the story I've read/seen clearly notes the difference between LIVE Pismo Clams Vs random (dead) seashells. With that level of knowledge, I'm sure there are newswriters who'd believe that a Minelab is a clam detector. 🤪 "And look! He's also got a clam digger on a pole!"
