- Sebastian Steudtner is a German surfer who tours the oceans of the world in search of colossal waves. Officials believe he may have found one. Sophisticated drone footage captured Steudtner off the coast of Nazaré, Portugal. The monster wave was measured at 93.73-feet by the drone. If the size of this wave is ratified by surfing officials, then Steudtner will have broken his own world record that he set in 2020.

Longboarder from Santa Cruz here: I wonder how old school surfers feel about this today. Have their views shifted? They were of the belief that you had to *earn* the privilege to attempt to ride a wave. They didn’t believe in being towed out. “The ride don’t count if you didn’t paddle out,” they’d say.
I'm surprised that Inside Edition didn't have a Coast Guard official on to inform us that this guy is a trained professional so don't attempt doing this if you're just beginning to surf 🤔
