      2. G.O.A.T means GREATEST OF ALL TIME. The greatest means the best, as in a singular player. There cannot be multiple GOATs in one grouping, unless you are saying they are tied for 1st.
      3. I have never in my life had a debate about who the GOAT is. The conversation is pointless to me. It is typically a conversation about who someone's favorite player is. As a general rule, I do not debate personal preferences.

I agree. Even with quantifiable evidence like statistics to support one’s point, the goat debates will always be the most subjective arguments of all time. Nobody will ever “win”. It’s like trying to argue what the greatest film of all time is. The average cinephile would say the godfather or citizen cane. Then someone will name some off the wall French film that nobody’s ever heard of. It’s just subjective to each person’s taste, personality, life experience, etc. I used to argue all day about these things with my friends but then I came to realize that in reality it doesn’t really matter.

We have seen shooting point guards. Steph and the Warriors offense and success is based off his shooting. Not his playmaking or passing. So does that change when we think of positioning roles in the game of basketball just because the warriors shoot a lot of threes and make a decent percentage of em. No the roles remain the style of play changes. Magic is a PG but adjusted when needed too. Game 7 rookie year says it all. Walking Triple double. Pts Assist Rebounds.

Both are the right answer for different reasons. If you value pure playmaking as the most important PG stat its Magic, if you are saying scoring is the above all importance while still playmaking… its Steph. Id put it like this… Magic is Magic in any era because passing and running the fastbreak is still as important as ever in even todays game look at Giannis… tbh Giannis is the scoring focused version of Magic in a way. And in any era with the 3 point line Steph is gonna be Steph because 50/40/90 in any era is all time elite efficiency

He was right during his time or era but nowadays with young and sprouting players you never know where they’ll end up. Luka for one, is a great passer and player. He can even get better. Also Booker and Tatum are young players who can excell much more than they are and are really good already! Also Trae young a great PG who can play and pass really well too. We just have to wait a few years until some players retire and decide then. I think just assuming stuff is not right.

Ofc he isn't trying to ruffle feathers. He still works with these people.
No one is disrespectful to Arenas and what he did. However, he will NEVER be the revolutionary because of how his career ended. Doesn't matter giw you FEEL, the NBA can't have gim as the guy.... AI is a perfect example of why he got snubbed A LOT and 1 day we gonna do a deep dive into what Dwight really did to get banned.
Rose went #1 & Russ went 4 in 2008, the year BEFORE Steph who went 7. Instead of looking at this from a 1v1 match-up that will NEVER HAPPEN let's just consider what we can.....
(We gonna ignore all those losses Russ took aganist the Warriors)
Rings aside because Curry would still beat 0, MVPs aside cause that unanimous still goes hard, let's try impact to the franchise......
Damn Curry wins that one too 😂
So real NBA fans say what now?
What about Isiah, Payton, Stockton, Nash, Kidd? Should they be in the convo too? 🤔

Steph has the highest on/off the floor impact of any player to ever play the game. Yes, even higher than MJ. When he’s on the floor his team is 42% better than when he’s off the floor. Magic played with some of the best players to ever play. Put Steph with Giannis and AD right now. You don’t think they’d rack off a few chips real quick? Curry literally built the warriors dynasty. His star forward averages a triple single. Remember that…

Just because everybody is now jacking up more 3's than ever doesn't mean they're making most of them. Finals against the Celtics when everyone said he wasn’t a “true point guard” he went out the next game and had like 14 assists. He can pass too. He just doesn’t have scorers to pass the ball to. That’s the difference cupcake. Kevon looney isn’t a scorer. For perspective purposes, he turned Javale McGee into one of the biggest lob threats in the league during his stint there. PG has a good point. They are the goat at the way they played their brand of basketball, and how they contributed on the court. Magic's greatest asset was his passing, and a lot of people would say he's the greatest passer of all time. All the while Curry is the greatest shooter of all time and that's unanimous. Both players have had amazing careers, and any team would be lucky to have them in their prime

Yeah but MJ doesn't know a lick of what it's like for a player to just bomb threes on other players and teams in the league. He played in an era where an entire team might not attempt as many threes as Steph does in a game, not to mention the percentages. There was nothing remotely comparable to someone shooting 15 threes in a game at a 45% clip, all while dragging multiple defenders away without even the basketball. Just completely different than what Jordan grew up with or played with/against.

We came to a point where people misunderstood what a point guard is that PG had to say "shooting point guard" out of confusion. Just simply say he's not a point guard but a shooting guard since he copied reggie, ray and rip who were all SGs. Dray and CP are their point on court.
Dray and CP study films pre game and post game to improve their team. Curry focuses on self scoring like all SG do

Would Bill Russell have won 11 on other teams. We will never know. It’s just fun for ppl to speculate and debate.

The real conversation is the evolution of the point guard position. Steph revolutionized it but smaller scoring first guards started in the late 90s. In today's game you almost have to have a point guard who is a bucket unless you've got great pieces around them. So few "true" point guards in today's game.
