    Two thumbs up! The winding bar on mine has holes for a 3/8" bar, I used 3/4" 18" bars and welded a 3/8" x1" longbar to the ends.

    When you say turns is it a complete rotation or is it steps with the bar?

    Is there a huge amount of kickback once the set screws are loosened (so the spring can be reset)? I know the bars need to be holding the spring, but I've heard countless people talk about how crazy those springs unwind.

    • @potatopealer2764
      @potatopealer2764 Год назад +2

      yes, this is why you use the 1/2“ winding bars to unwind the spring too

    I am quite stumped now,not because of your video, but because....I have to do my Enclosed Trailor today because previous owner took cables off. its the type of door that opens all the way down to the ground & serves as a Ramp also,kinda like what Lawn companies use. ............ Your video says make sure door is in Closed position ...... since My door opens top out to the ground should my door be CLOSED? or Open? to start the procedure? It looks IDENTICLE to the trailor in the video over to the right in the list thats titled " the dreaded ramp repair trailor trash" ... Should the door be layed open to start , or closed to start ?

    • @terraflata
      @terraflata 6 лет назад

      You do it with the ramp down. it is the same concept. You want the wires extended while adjusting to prevent the coil from binding

      I have an enclosed trailer where the door is a ramp also . I have two springs do i adjust them one at a time and should the door be down for this also .there also seems to be tension on the roolers when I attach the wires to the door.

    sir, my stock spring was broken and i can't find one. instead of one spring which is 32" inches long, can i use 2 springs 18" each?

    • @millsupply
      @millsupply  9 лет назад +2

      No, you cannot use two 18" springs but we do have a 32" spring in stock. Part No. CB32 which you can find here: www.millsupply.com/CB32.php or you can call us at 800-888-5072

    This system is so much worse than the double spring whiting system - don’t buy it
