i have a ddj sz2 connected to a powered speaker and om trying to install the rmx 500 and when turn it on it says error loading midi xml...can you help me with that please
Joe Demagio Hey Joe, yes you can. You would run a pair of RCAs from the output of your controller to the inputs of the RMX-500, then run cables from the RMX-500 outputs to the club mixer or speakers - Ryan Dejaegher
+DJ TechTools I was able to use my Pioneer EFX-500 with my last mixer to have efx while playing vinyl. I now have the DDJ-SX2 and noticed there is no EFX Send/Return. Is there a way to have the RMX-500 on my vinyl channels 1&2, while leaving channels 3&4 alone? If it's not possible, does Pioneer make a 4 channel controller that has EFX Send/Return so we can use an external efx unit to have efx on real vinyl?
just like ryan said there, put the rca output of the sx2 on the rmx and the output of the rmx to the speakers, if the speakers only have xlr you can put de output of the rmx on a di box and the di box to the speakers
I was trying to decide between buying 500 and 1000. This video was not that helpful. Like you was in a hurry to do something else. I think you could of went into a little more depth with features and difference betwen the two models. Take you time and review the damn thing Mo Jaxx.
I'm with Jeff Way; "your hand dance" is annoying and distracts away from the point which is demo + review; I which somebody could tell me why a lot of DJs do the "hand dance" is NOT fucking Kool!; as if they could full us into thinking they're actually pushing buttons and turning knobs; what is that all about?

It says unplug and switch off fully when installing software for computer operation.

no its SEND AND RETURN so it returns audio to the unit. It can only be used if your setup has a dedicated send and return ability.

Tried it a few times. The Offset and two separate filters are ok. The rest is nah.1000 is a different story. Still prefer my well trusted EFX 500

You might have some luck plugging one of the turntables into the unit for effects only on one channel.

does this work in traktor without a mapping if not has one been made, thanks in advance. Also great video so glad i found this channel a while ago:)))
This is a hardware effects unit not a Midi controller. So yes, it works with out a mapping. In fact it works without a computer what so ever.

Cool product, but I just can't be impressed because any dvs can do this or more. Not only that, most mixers can do what this can too.
