Really nice video, as a LIVE musician and not a dj its nice to get a different type of opinions by someone thats not a dj. I have a question tho, I see there are two types of inputs, could you use these inputs simultaneously? For connecting a looper and a beatmaker separately and use the mrx1000 also as a mixer. That way I could save a lot of space in my setup allowing me to replace my mixer by the rmx1000 and getting some really nice effects on top.
Hey Hey! Thanks for watching! 😁🙏👊 This is not a looper. It's made for simply plugging in to your master output of your main mix. It does not replace a mixer in your setup.
That would be interesting for sure, but this one works just fine already, though, haha.... What would you want to be added or made different in a new version? 😁👊
@@ElectronisoundsAudio are you using the rmx for music production in your DAW too? I bought it primarily for that. It's really nice to throw some effects with a hardware unit after the track is fully mixed. You can just play around it like a DJ. Much more intuitive than programming in the DAW.
@@ElectronisoundsAudio the RMX 1000 has a VST plugin. You connect the RMX via usb and control the plugin. Make sure to check it out! It's one of the best uses of this hardware.
Right?!?! I really love that effect! 💙 Depending on the exact timing of when it grabs the incoming audio, it can create some really sweet rhythmic variations!! 👍👍
Loke I explain in the video - it doesn't require ANY special connections - just master out from your setup (whatever that may be) into this. it's really that simple.
Hey Hey! Like I said in the video, i'm not a DJ. I don't have or know the DDJ 1000, but this just works with audio in and audio out - no special routing of any kind. 👊
Sorry to hear you are having trouble! 😀👊 You didn't actually say **what** the trouble is, so I can't offer any advice here.... Just run your audio in to the RMX-1000, and run the output from the RMX-1000 to *any* type of recording device and record the mix?
Nope, sorry - this is the video. I don't use it in any other way. If you want to use it in other ways, you'll need to figure those out for yourself, mate. 😁👊
Hey. Luis! This is always going to be the very last thing in your audio chain, so if your synths are running into a mixer, then you would run the master out of that mixer into this. 😁👊
Think of it this way: The FX will be on whatever ***AUDIO*** you send into this box. If you don't want the entire track, then you'll need a mixer that has some kind of AUX SENDS for you to route whatever audio you do want, into this box. 😀 👊
Like I show in the video, you just plug in audio in and audio out to this. There are no special connections. How you route it in your system is entirely up to your and your specific workflow/needs. I don't have that mixer, and i'm not a DJ, so I don't have any specific insight here, sorry. 👊
Is it possible to turn up at a venue and plug this in / disconnect it just for your set without disturbing the master audio or will you need to effectively bring everything to a halt and then dangerously start unplugging and reconnecting audio cables?
I would never plug or unplug this during a set. there is no reason to. If you don't want effects. don't turn them on until you need them? You would never disconnect, connect cables during a performance?
I think I get what you are asking - the HOUSE AUDIO GUY at any venue should be able to fade *JUST YOU* in or out? You would not be connected to the house's "master audio" per se? For best results, speak with someone at the venue, but if it's part of your setup, then don't over think it. ;) Buuuuuuut - If your working with the HOUSE's DJ setup and THEIR gear..... then leave this at home. imho unless you've talked with them first... ;)
Hey thank you for your reply. What I meant was if you were doing an hour or so slot between other DJ's, could you bring this bit of kit along or is it a hassle and also does it require the master signal going through this unit or is it a send and return situation that you can plug this into the mixer without needing to adjust any cables already plugged in ?@@ElectronisoundsAudio
I get you now, no - you will disturb the master audio, this is not send/return - you have to plug the MASTER OUT into this. So you would have to stop the audio and re-route some cables for your set if it's only being used for you. @@BeastmanG
What overview of the rmx. Suscribed. Yet, what bums me out is this thing is legit a 1000 bucks and it is legit a controller for your controller or a controller for your decks, and your controllers and decks can do legit everything this does except the stem and drum and clap parts need to be added into your memory cue banks from the start and the add and cut function and the overdub function is a neat thing but I don't see anyone really using those for general music.
Hey Hey! Thanks for watching! 😁🙏👊 Yeah, imho - if you already have those kind of fancy DJ decks, this is not really needed. This is more for people who have very simple decks, or VINYL only setups without all that fancy stuff. (Or hardware performers like me, who don't DJ at all.) I think it would be overkill if you already have some pretty fancy decks in your setup.
Thanks man, I've actually bought a RMX after watching your video. But i have connecting issue. I plugged the RMX audio out into a mackie channel input and the RMX input into the aux send. The sound come from the Analog rytm and dreadbox typhon. Result is that when i turn the aux knob, i get the same signal playing twice and phasey sound. Any suggestion please?
Sure, you *HAVE* to plug this into the master out of your chain. This needs to be the LAST THING in your audio signal. It's that simple. No other routing. 😁👊
@@ElectronisoundsAudio Oh god! 2 days struggling with the aux send/insert, watching tutorial, reading forum. And it was, like you said, that simple. Thanks man !
Sorry, i've not used those other mixers - just the db2. You just need to make sure it has the features you're after - i.e. how many individual FX units, looping tracks(?), external aux sends if you need them, etc. GOOD LUCK! 😀 👊
Oh, I get your question now - sorry, I didn't understand when I read it the first time. No, I don't have a video on how to load your own samples into it, but it's in the manual of course and there is a video for that on youtube somewhere for sure if you search for it. It wasn't hard if I remember, just putting the samples onto the SD card. 👍
You just plug the MAIN OUTPUT of your mixer into the RMX-1000. If you want to connect 2 DJ mixers to it, then you would need to sum those mixers together into a small mixer of some kind, then take the MAIN OUTPUT from that mixer into the RMX-1000. 😀 👊
Hi! Did you watch the video? 😀 👊 I'm using it with no DAW, Hardware only for this entire video. The answer is YES you can! (...watch the video - that's the point of the video... it answers your questions...) Also..... Watch. The. Video. 😏
i see... one last question, if i were to use this on a hardware only set up is it possible thru a mixer to use this on individual channels and master channel easily without plugging in and out any audio cables?
@@Akillitvshorts Not that I know of. I don't know of any mixer that will allow you to use it as a *send* and ALSO on the Master Channel. It would be either one or the other. Also, this is meant to work as an *insert* fx, meaning it won't work as intended when used thru a SEND. You would typically just run the MASTER out of your entire mix - into this. 🤗😁👊
Definitely cool! Got me curious!😜👊🏼.....would you say this RMX compares to a Korg Kaos pad type of gear?....in overall functions? Seems like they might work well together too!
Hey Hey! They are definitely the same type of concept - run audio into it, and then effect and tweak your audio. 👍 That's about as far as the similarities go though - they both do different things to the sound. I actually have a KAOSS Pad 3, but haven't gelled with it... Need to find the time to try again! 😀 👊

Loke I explain in the video - it doesn't require ANY special connections - just master out from your setup (whatever that may be) into this. it's really that simple.
Sick video, really well explained. Can I link this up to a pioneer xdj rx3 controller?
It's just AUDIO, you plug your MAIN audio output of ANYTHING directly in to this. It's that simple. 👊
Can RMX 1000 pair with DDJ 1000
For recording and cueing in headphone ?
Hey Hey! Like I said in the video, i'm not a DJ.
I don't have or know the DDJ 1000, but this just works with audio in and audio out - no special routing of any kind. 👊
Excellent video, well explained and very clear information, would you answer me please if the rxm 1000 can be used with a pioneer xdj rr?
It can be used with *anything* it's JUST AUDIO. Woot!! :)
@@ElectronisoundsAudio thank you for your fast response you had won a new subscriptor, your content its just stunning, 🙌🏼
Great video. Thanks.
Hey Hey! Thanks for the support! 😀 👊
👍@@ElectronisoundsAudio
I am struggling to record my mixes using RMX-1000
Sorry to hear you are having trouble! 😀👊
You didn't actually say **what** the trouble is, so I can't offer any advice here.... Just run your audio in to the RMX-1000, and run the output from the RMX-1000 to *any* type of recording device and record the mix?
Can you do a video on resampling overdubs whilst adding fx? Seen James zabiela do a lot of stuff but he’s so fast it’s hard to learn
Nope, sorry - this is the video. I don't use it in any other way. If you want to use it in other ways, you'll need to figure those out for yourself, mate. 😁👊
GREAT review! Sounds like a MUST have gear. If using several synths, where would one most likely connect this within ones devices flow?
Hey. Luis! This is always going to be the very last thing in your audio chain, so if your synths are running into a mixer,
then you would run the master out of that mixer into this. 😁👊
@@ElectronisoundsAudio Thanks!
First of all, great video dude. Second, I really liked that loop you've played, where did you get it?
Hey Hey! Thanks very much! The music in the video was just a beat I made. 😁👊
@@ElectronisoundsAudio awesome 👌 thanks
Do the effects have to play through the master or is there a way for it to play though one channel only?
Think of it this way:
The FX will be on whatever ***AUDIO*** you send into this box.
If you don't want the entire track, then you'll need a mixer that has some kind of AUX SENDS for you to route whatever audio you do want, into this box. 😀 👊
Honestly not sure I need this with my DDJ-1000. Is there a way to isolate the effects to one of the deck's four channels or are the effects global?
Like I show in the video, you just plug in audio in and audio out to this. There are no special connections.
How you route it in your system is entirely up to your and your specific workflow/needs.
I don't have that mixer, and i'm not a DJ, so I don't have any specific insight here, sorry. 👊
Nice Video! Thanks for the tutorial of RMX 1000!!! Is possible that I buy it soon!
Hey Hey! Thanks for watching! 😀 👊
@@BeastmanG
@@ElectronisoundsAudio OK so may be a bit annoying. Thank you for clarifying
Yeah, imho - if you already have those kind of fancy DJ decks, this is not really needed.
This is more for people who have very simple decks, or VINYL only setups without all that fancy stuff.
(Or hardware performers like me, who don't DJ at all.)
I think it would be overkill if you already have some pretty fancy decks in your setup.
Awesome video, Nice Desk! where you get it?
Hey Hey! Thanks for watching! 😀 👊
I had the desk custom made specifically to fit the space in here.
Hello, do you buy xone db4 or 900nxs2 with rmx 1000?
What do you choose you?
Sorry, i've not used those other mixers - just the db2.
You just need to make sure it has the features you're after - i.e. how many individual FX units, looping tracks(?), external aux sends if you need them, etc.
GOOD LUCK! 😀 👊
I bought recently djm 750mk2 mixer it's also making some effects.... but this baby is awesome...
Hey Hey! Thanks for watching! 😀 👊
Hello how do you load your own drum samples?
I want 808 drum kit… is there a video demo on this add on?
Oh, I get your question now - sorry, I didn't understand when I read it the first time. No, I don't have a video on how to load your own samples into it, but it's in the manual of course and there is a video for that on youtube somewhere for sure if you search for it. It wasn't hard if I remember, just putting the samples onto the SD card. 👍
Amazing
Hey Hey, Thanks for the support! 😁👊
I need help!
How to connect te Rmx 1000 to ddjsx 2
When i connect i cant use te effects?
You just plug the MAIN OUTPUT of your mixer into the RMX-1000. If you want to connect 2 DJ mixers to it, then you would need to sum those mixers together into a small mixer of some kind, then take the MAIN OUTPUT from that mixer into the RMX-1000. 😀 👊
Bro is this product 2019 or from 8 years ago? I want buy one.. thanks
I got mine new in 2019. They are still readily available and easy to get. 👍
@@ElectronisoundsAudio thanks 🙂
Can you use this effector with no daw, hardware only setup?
Hi! Did you watch the video? 😀 👊
I'm using it with no DAW, Hardware only for this entire video. The answer is YES you can!
(...watch the video - that's the point of the video... it answers your questions...)
Also..... Watch. The. Video. 😏
i see... one last question, if i were to use this on a hardware only set up is it possible thru a mixer to use this on individual channels and master channel easily without plugging in and out any audio cables?
@@Akillitvshorts Not that I know of. I don't know of any mixer that will allow you to use it as a *send* and ALSO on the Master Channel. It would be either one or the other.
Also, this is meant to work as an *insert* fx, meaning it won't work as intended when used thru a SEND. You would typically just run the MASTER out of your entire mix - into this. 🤗😁👊
@@ElectronisoundsAudio thank you for your replies i appreciate it ^^ youve just gained a follower. Keep up the good work 💎
@@Akillitvshorts Hey Hey! Thanks for the sub! 😁🙏👊
Excellent Dean , gonna try the iOS version first...
Hey Hey! Thanks for watching! 😁🙏👊
That's about as far as the similarities go though - they both do different things to the sound.
I actually have a KAOSS Pad 3, but haven't gelled with it... Need to find the time to try again! 😀 👊
