It’s becoming such a fun way for me to fish because you don’t have any stress of handling the boat. This is nice because you just cast out and relax until you see the rod bump.
Haha. Thank you buddy. I know a lot of people like to eat bluefish but I’m not much of a fan of the oily fish. I practice a lot of catch and release with most fish that I catch.
nice cheyenne lee The way you do the work gracefully - I am very proud of you. Thanks for going through the trouble and it's worth it. You have the absolute power to rise above any situation or struggle and transform yourself into the strongest and most beautiful version of yourself ever. Congratulations and best of luck for your promising future. Great job, you are amazing, you are important, you are special, you are unique, and you are valuable! Never give up, go ahead, fight for your dreams, everything will get better for you, I wish you good luck.
Hi friend, I really enjoy your videos, last week I went to Wrightsville Beach in Wilmington it was a great fishing experience, but I want to know where the exact location of the place you fished in is located, I will appreciate if you share this with me. Thank you, good fishing🎉.
Thank you for watching the videos but I can’t spot burn like that. The sandbars change every storm too so it’s more beneficial to go at low tide and find good spots to try out. That’s what I do.
Fish and chips my good man!! Thanks for doing another surf video!! Going to be on the beach in Oak Island next week! Hopefully I can get some whiting and a trout or two!
Get your shrimp and crabs from Seaview Crab Company, and tackle from Island Tackle on CB. I dont know if they were flooded in the hurricane - still a few feet of water on the island.
Yeah man. We do too, I just grew up calling them Sea Mullet. They are also called Kingfish and Virginia mullet depending on which version you catch. Thank you for the comment.
Just found your channel, was wondering what length and type of rods your using, was down at Calabash nc for the first time had some of my gear with me but didn't even get the line wet, i usually fish Frisco area but no luck this year, can you give me some pointers i need it from a pro lol
Thanks so much for watching and welcome. Haha. Idk about pro but here’s my setup. 8’ or higher rods and they are roughly up to 3oz capable strength. They are light enough action that I can see small fish hit which is mainly what I target. I fish 2-4oz sinkers based on current and wave action. I usually only fish calm days so my data isn’t the best to base fishing decisions on.
Hey bud I have a question for you. I'm new to Currituck. 1..What time of year was this. 2... You don't eat the bluefish? I grew up on Long Island and when we caught these "small ones" , and the smaller snappers, my Dad and I would pan fry them in butter, and wow they are good eating! The real big ones are a bit oily, but the small ones are not so bad! Thanks for the video!
Hey man, If you want a cheat code, go back and look at when my videos are posted. That's when you can count on it being good during that timeline each year. I don't really like fish that much so I only eat the really mild fish that I catch. I know that's not normal but people like what they like. Haha. Thank you for watching buddy.
Is whiting, sea mullet and croaker all referring to the same species of fish in NC? Also, why can't you keep Flounder in NC? I'm staying in NC all summer, and am gonna go surf fishing as much as possible. I went for the first time 2 weeks ago and caught red drum, flounder, whiting, and a puffer fish.
Nc closed the flounder season but Virginia your able to get 4 a day an SC I want to say 6 a day but NC stupid planning on vacation else were next year for sure..... NC is bs
Beautiful little cut you found to fish right there. Knowing how to read the beach is half the battle. My favorite way to fish. Thanks man!

Great stuff dude! I’m getting ready for an end of September’23 trip & figured I would start getting in the mindset! Thank you!
Good luck dude. You may be timing it perfect based on how its lining up with the storms.
Great Video as always Eric!! Keep up the great work my friend!
Thank you, John!
I was relieved to hear someone from NC wanting some mullet…I assumed to smoke! And then you caught the whiting and I figured it out. Good times!
Haha. Smoked mullet is incredible so I still agree with you.
the double down! love it
Thanks brotha. That was a fun day.
I'm laughing... my pops would have killed for those Blue :)
great video..... thank you!!!

New subscriber from Fayetteville NC!! Found you because of Elias!
Hey Chris, Thanks for jumping over and I am happy to have you. Haha
Good work. Looking for a place to take my wife and little guys to catch some fish. They love surf fishing
Thanks dude. The sea mullet are thick up and down the coast right now.
@@ericwilliamsfishing was the bite better on incoming or out going?
@@dfishman76 incoming for us and it was actually about mid tide that we did the best.
@@dfishman76 Incoming and about mid tide.
Heading down to Fort Fisher, October 4-6. camping at Carolina Beach State Park can you recommend a bait and tackle store?

Thats awesome man. Yeah, it's the way to go - every time for me.
Up North we call sea mullet kingfish.
That’s what’s up. They have sooo many names.
Youll want that dog in the picture one day friend
Wish I had more with my last one. You are right.
East coast of Fla We call your sea mullet a Whiting, 😳

When does fishing from the surf start slowing down?
It’s usually water temp related but at this rate it should be good for another month.
Where were you fishing?
Wilmington North Carolina
@@ericwilliamsfishing Wrightsville beach?
@@ericcorse yes sir.
@@ericwilliamsfishing Thanks
I’m in Holden Beach, let’s get together soon!
I have fished once in about three months. Haha. Hopefully getting back into it soon.
@@ericwilliamsfishing You gotta tighten up lol It’s def starting to pick back up. Had a great run of black drum and blues from the surf yesterday.
what pound leader and rig is that?
I make them out of 15-20lb flourocarbon.
👍👍
Thanks Roger.
How do u set up your rig?
It’s a 15lb flouro, two dropper loops, #1 or #2 circle sea hooks, 3 oz weight.
Day n month please
lol. I don’t have a clue.
You call whiting sea mullet? 😅
They have a bunch of names. Kingfish, Whiting, Sea Mullet, Virginia Mullet... etc.
I'd eat those blue fish
Most people would. I wish I liked them.
@@ericwilliamsfishing I'm from the Caribbean we don't have them are they raw?

Whiting and sea mullet are but croaker are a different species. Supposedly, the flounder stock is down but the neighbor states don’t regulate them.
