Even tho Savage love was really viral on tiktok and on radio, it only hit number 1 on bb hot 100 after they did a remix with Bts. Bts is really THE Artist rn, they're unstoppable
What I am proud the most is that after Dynamite and Savage Love, which were BTS' English songs, they got no 1 on Billboard with their Life Goes On from their BE album which is in Korean. They got to no. 1 without much radio play. No they do not need other artist to get them to No 1. Their latest single Butter has also got no. 1 making it their 4 song. They already got 5 no 1 albums on Billboard 200.

Every single guy has their own fan base as well as the overall Army. I can recommend introductions, but I am less than 4 weeks into the rabbit hole myself. Glad to have you along for the ride.
While many/most of us have favourites(‘biases’), solo stans are not encouraged by ARMYs - BTS are seven.

BTS has already 4 number 1s on billboard hot100 for Dynamite (number 1 for 3weeks), savage love remix, life goes on and butter(4 weeks in a row but i think it's going number 1 again next monday)
They already had 5 number 1 albums on billboard 200 :-) and they did that without bundles.
BTS has now 4 no #1 on BB Hot 100
BTS achieved the fastest accumulation of four #1 hits on the Hot 100 among groups since the Jackson 5 over 50 years ago !

I'm so glad you viewed this vid -- i wonder if you would want to react to Spring Day -- this song is quite special - as mentioned in the vid it is still in the Korean chart - if you do check it out, pks also check out the explanation vid - there are 2 that i like - the 1st one is by an Italian army/i cant remember her name/its pretty good- it has actual real life footages ---- the 2nd one is by Xceleste which is also good --- i agree they dont need to collab with another famous artist.

Spring Day MV is a true work of art and you really need to watch an explanation video. The Italian Army woman who put together the explanation video got invited to conferences to talk about BTS.

Life Goes On and Butter also debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. They are the first group since the Jackson 5 in 1970 to have their first 4 #1 songs in less than 1 year. :)

MMA 2019 Award show, I definitely think you will be mind blown.
There are other docs, which discuss BTS, hardships, such as being cut from performances, death threats leading to cancelling of concerts, accusations of plagiarism and 'sajaegi'. They give you a good idea of the battle these guys have had on the rise to the top.
I dont know if you are aware but BTS do also have their own shows like Bon Voyage, In the Soop and RUN Bts. In the Soop focus's on their rest times, hobbies in Korea. Bon Voyage takes us on holiday with them. RUN Bts is just usually chaos, games, full on entertainment.
All of this transparency comes about from the fact in the early days BTS was ridiculed or simply not included so they decided to create their own content and platforms.
All suggestions in the comments are valid, you won't be guided badly, BTS Army are a mine field of knowledge, organised and will steer you in the right direction.

I highly recommend watching their MVs or a lyrics video before watching live performance though. I think knowing what the song sounds like and what it is about gives it a better experience when watching it live.
However do whatever you want.

I really appreciate that you want to know them, their personalities are very different from each other but like what they say, opposites attract! Their chemistry altogether is amazing, I usually don't stick that long with singers, I stan them for 1-2 months then nah. But it's different with them! It's my 4th year now and I still need to know a lot about them, their journey is so inspiring. The message of their songs, the humbleness, their authenticity and passion for music, everything! They're perfectly imperfect. They have this bts universe which is pretty cool and needs a lot of braincells lmao, you need to prepare well if you'll dive into that bcs it's on another level. Their artistry is insane, they pull off everything seamlessly. People who hates them needs to know their story first, well sadly they choose to hold prejudice without knowing anything. Sucks for them to not acknowledge these talented young men.
Anyways, You mentioned that you want to know more about them and "the rise of bangtan" series is a perfect guide for you. You will get to know how they climbed from 0-100. Though it's kinda long but it's worth it, I recommend watching the deleted scenes too. Bts taught me a lot of things in life, through their music and such. I reflect from time to time reading their lyrics. Btw the rap line has individual mixtapes, it might be very overwhelming to digest what I'm saying now I'm sorry. I'll say it otherwise, hoseok (j-hope) has his "hope world" mixtape. Namjoon (Rap monster or RM) has two mixtapes, the 1st one was "RM" and the 2nd one is "Mono" they have COMPLETELY different vibe. For yoongi (suga) he also have 2 mixtapes, 1st is "Agust D" and 2nd is "D2". The lyrics are a must but knowing you, you always read lyrics which I really appreciate. You'll get to know how they think and what they are through mixtapes. Though the vocal line hasn't released their own mixtapes YET, yes yet, 2 of the vocal line members [jungkook and v(taehyung)] told us that they will release their own music too. We still don't have official dates as they are really busy with their group schedule. You can check out their songs too, they release cover and free music (mostly on soundcloud) as a gift for us. I also want to let you know that they have almost 300 songs and still counting, it's hard to pick a favorite 😣.
Woah, I didn't mean to write this very long message. I still have a lot to tell you though, I can make a 100 page of essay about them. There's a lot and I still don't know everything about them, it's crazy ain't it?

Wait....didn't BTS go to Norway in one of the BTS Bon Voyage seasons? When I first went down the BTS rabbit hole in November 2020, I watched almost every RUclips or Facebook video I could find about BTS. A lot were like this video you watched (in fact, this was one of the first that I watched so that I could learn more about BTS). I also watched the American Hustle series, all of the Bon Voyage series (Bon Voyage is basically showing them on vacation in various cities/countries), all of the Run BTS shows (which is still on weekly, though they are on break right now), the In the Soop series, and all of the concerts that I could find. Have fun discovering more about BTS! I've recently been watching a lot of reaction videos, and they are so fun!

They definitely don't need Justin Bieber what with 4 songs already on No:1 in billboards.You have to check out some of their live performances.Wembley, São Paulo,Citi field & the Japanese tour.Some songs that are there on the albums are good to check out too like Coffee, Path,Etc.Suga's Last(with lyrics) is a must.All their Solo's are a must watch esp stage version.In their last album BE there are some really fantastic songs too

Justin Bieber is part of their company now. HYBE purchased Ithaca Holdings. So Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande are basically family with BTS so collaborations are inevitable. RM stated that in an interview. The 4 top Hot 100's are Dynamite, Savage love cover, Life Goes On, and Butter. Dynamite got them a Grammy nomination. Also, they got top social artist 5 years in a row now. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I don’t understand why being from the same multi-national company means they have to collaborate. TBH I’m not a fan of any of the collab songs, except maybe Boy With Luv.
@@butterbuttersbetter3689 They don't have to collaborate, but it is now easier for them to collaborate. That is a common thing that artists from the same company will collaborate, because it promotes each others music, and that is a win win for the company and the artists.

I have been Army since 2015/16, and I am always happy to see someone who is open to their music - they are incredible artists, and their music is what hooked me, but learning who they are, what they stand for, what they have been through, how they treat each other, and how real their integrity is - that is what made me Army. I’m a registered nurse in my mid-20’s, I’m not a teen, now am I fanciful or impressionable, so I’m really not the type to become a member of an official fan club, or actually love “celebrities” that I don’t know - but BTS are different 🤷♂️ They are sincere, humble, kind, genuinely nice guys, who work much harder than I do (and I do 12 hour shifts at a government hospital in an African country, so I work hard), they really appreciate their fans, and are so thankful for any support they get. I will love and support them until they break up (if they ever do), and I will still love them and support their individual efforts even after that - it’s a really unique situation, not something that is easily explained, especially to cynical westerners - most of us Army’s in the west tend not to speak too much about how BTS changed our lives (they helped me through the death of my dad, leaving home, coping with university and nursing, being lonely etc - if it wasn’t for them, I probably would have quit my studies after my first year) - we get mocked and ridiculed a lot, most don’t understand us, our commitment and love for these men seems bizarre...But BTS finds you when you need them, and once you start understanding their music, and then get to know them - it changes you... I hope you enjoy your journey, but even if you don’t enjoy the music and ultimately don’t become Army - I am very happy that you have given them a chance, you are respectful of them and us, and you are making an informed decision - thank you, once again 💜💜

Saturday morning here in NYC, I'm watching you react to BTS documentary with a cup of coffee and croissant. I love how you are not going overboard and crazy like many other reaction RUclipsrs. lol There's genuine curiosity, admiration and delight radiating from you! I'm new to BTS although I'm Korean. Only after that big hit not too long ago, I learned about them since I kept hearing their music and the name over and over. Hi! Just want to clarify some incorrect information in this introduction.
- Jhope NEVER auditioned for JYP. The videos floating around of him "auditioning" for JYP are part of the MANY contests that JYP would hold. Jhope won money through JYP and a scholarship to an art school from a competition. So he had ties. He didn't go to the art school though because he wanted to finish middle school at his current school. He only auditioned for Big Hit. Bang PD (CEO of Big Hit/HYBE) already knew about Jhope through JYP because he used to work for JYP and even had a hand in producing for 2AM which is a brother group of the very successful 2PM. 2AM and 2PM were a dividing of the group One Day. While training under Big Hit he featured in Jo Kwon's music video "Animal". Jo Kwon is a member of 2AM who is under JYP... and 2AM was highly produced by Big Hit's CEO.
- Jhope was the real "capstone" of BTS. He was already known in the public. BTS was pretty much know as "That group with Jung Hosoek in it". He was the most popular member from the beginning and had more options, which is why he almost left when he didn't feel he was the right fit. Big Hit would have taken care of him or perhaps he would have then auditioned for JYP.
- Jimin almost didn't debut with the other members in BTS. He had the shortest training time and had difficulties with his singing. He has also said that the dancing was hard for him. V has also stated that HE was asked about Jimin joining BTS and HE encouraged it because he was good friends with Jimin.
