Airports are getting more crowded with record numbers of flights, and airports are hiring less experienced staff due to shortages from the pandemic when many experienced aviation personnel retired early. We're now beginning to see the byproduct of these main factors. Lots of errors at airports, more lost luggage, more cancelled flights, more aircraft diversions due to technical problems with aircraft, and so on. Hopefully safety will continue to be a priority in aviation.
Great pilots always safety on their minds that's the key thing so near misses new lessons brilliant they need rehearsals everyday for ten minutes reminding them of key words and meanings
Line up and wait .. I wonder if ATC was late in giving the OK to Begin the roll, or if the crew were slow to go. Without all the facts, it is even possible the Ryanair jumped the gun on doing a go around- I have seen many flights landing just as the plane taking off is climbing thru 100 ft
Thank you, Simple Flying. Yet another well made, informative video. Your true fans appreciate you. I notice you get a lot of nonsense comments. Not to worry though, not all of your viewers are halfwits. Keep up the great work, and again, thank you for the great content. PS. Love the gentleman who does the voice-over work. 🙂

Seems like, especially in the US, the FAA needs to hire more people for redundant checking since the quality of work or lack of personnel is just not acceptable. True there would be a higher cost but the cost of safety should not be sacrificed.

FINALLY SOME FAMOUS CONTENT OF MY HOME AIRLINE, AZORES AIRLINES
2023: The year of Runway incursions...
Year of the Gaann.
Or it maybe have been many before, but just didn’t get the same attention.
@@runarandersen878
I like the idea of this being the year of the Gaan.
Are you going to cover the impending ATC problems across Europe this summer?
I’m really disturbed at the amount of ATC caused incidents this year
The amount of incidents is not unusual. The reporting is the only difference.
@@hewhohasnoidentity4377I really hope that’s the case
At least it’s not Ryanair’s fault this time 🤣
Great pilots always safety on their minds that's the key thing so near misses new lessons brilliant they need rehearsals everyday for ten minutes reminding them of key words and meanings
With all the planes that come and go every day this doesn’t surprise me at all. In fact, what is amazing is that it doesn’t happen more often!
Another one?! when will this all end
We have to rely on ATC for our overall safety, the pilot is only the last cog in the wheel, he can only deal with the information he is given.
ATC & Pilot shortages lead to overworked, fatigued employees. This is the cause of these incursions.
The title insinuates the pilot was at fault when clearly the ATC are the problem.
A shortage of ATC's isn't helping the issue, meanwhile the FAA is leaderless.
Good job Petter ;)

Safety is our Number 1 priority.
Ooops!
Ryanair did save the situation caused by the ATC. Did you watch it??
They should name the Airport in Porto AirPorto

Compile Error: Mismatched Variable - Miss must equal 0 or 1
What is Satan doing in this industry?! 🤦♂️
these atc need to be held liable
They'll have their ratings pulled pending the outcome of the investigation. So define liable... That's dodgy territory.
Reminder of Tenerife
Human error until a robot can do it it’s always gonna happen
With South Africa cadre deployment with people that cannot read; write or count in manager positions; I fear for SA airports safety 😢
I am not surprising for Ryanair . I am not recommending anyone fly on Ryanair .
How is this Ryanair’s fault?
These near misses are getting messy smh.
A near miss is a hit.
Well I hope it will land on the runway.
These are near hits, not misses
I feel bad for the ryanair passengers. The landing was harder because the Pilots had to do a go around, and the passengers were also charged for this!
Near miss is a rather vague term, click-bait is not
If they went around above minimums then non story. Clarify or remove please.
It's a reportable incident, then it's reportable here.
What if visibility had been poor?
@@michaeloreilly657 Then you go around. Nothing to see here...

Should have paid the "avoid contact with other aircraft" package.
They did. That is why there was no crash.
@@ricahrdb They upgraded in-flight, I think.
with the way ryanair lands, i'm glad the ryanair plane didn't land on that a321neo...
Ryanair pilots land as per Boeing FCTM technique but apparently some people know better than Boeing.
