These red dirt trails are the best!

Nice video, Ron. My wife and I will be there in about a month for a few days then onto Moab. This may push her limits a bit but we’re average to above average skills so hopefully be able to tackle Chuckwagon. Your warning on rain preceding ride day is a good heads up that we will be aware of. Thanks for having us along on your adventures via these vids.

Thanks for watching! You also might want to check out the intermediate level Llama and Scorpion trails!

When I was in Sedona last year, I took one of those Jeep Tours. I asked the guide about the soapy looking water. He said it is caused by some of the plants.

Thanks Jack, good to k ow that’s it’s not something bad. But interesting how it foams up! I’m riding in Tucson right now, enroute through Sedona and Moab.

Was a good trail when we did it a few years ago, but a bit tough in places for a blue run. Scenery is awesome!

I made reservations for Sedona last fall but cancelled. This Chuckwagon trail was maybe the reason I cancelled. Seems Sedona has a lot of trails that are chunk city. Different strokes for different strokes but altogether I'm thinking Fruita might be a better time for riding. Do you find the majority of Sedona trails have a lot of chunk Ron?

Fruita and Sedona are both great. Fruita on average might be a little more intermediate and flowy. But Sedona has flowy intermediate trails too. But Sedona also has more full on, technically challenging trails more so than Fruita. But Sedona also has incredible, unique scenery too…maybe more scenic than Fruita. Thanks for watching!

@@ronsanderson99 Sure does look like some outstanding scenery in Sedona. Thanks for your input. Maybe I will try Sedona to find out for myself.

Yup chunky in many places making "blue" runs quite tough sometimes. Agreed.

@@coloradomark2159 Since Sedona's blue trails has such wide skill levels for us at least, I would go back to Old Post Trail and Carroll Canyon Trail. We also had good times on Aerie and Cockscomb trails. Those were mostly real blue runs for us, because not so much chunk when we were there a few years ago. Great scenery. Take the camera, and ride safe!
