@@amyfonseca1766 EXACTLY. There are those who want to be in the ministry and/or in positions of public service because they truly feel a calling to serve and help others, and then there are those who seek those positions to serve their own selfish, narcissistic needs to be praised, upheld and to hold power, control and judgment on others in desperate need of fulfilling their own inadequacies.
And in particular and I point this out specifically because I couldn’t help to notice it about this pathetic excuse of a “pastor” doing it over and over again during his manic ramblings, I mean ahem, his sermon,
is their unconscious PROJECTION of pointing out and criticizing in everyone else what they are unable to realize they really hate in themselves but can’t figure that out due to their inability of any shred of humility or self awareness. Case in point: as he was trash talking his wife’s issues with “mental health issues”, he was simultaneously giving a display of a wide range of dysfunctional “mental health issues” any psychiatrist would have a field day picking through. Can you say MANIC, mood SWINGS, passive aggressive behavior anyone??

Dude it's people like that who pushed my interests in organized religion far away.
I believe you can have your own personal relationship with the higher power, without belonging to a church.
They honestly creeped me out as a child. Perhaps it was separating the parents from the kids. Accept with my disabled brother he got to stay with mom and then they judged who she was based on him being born with no brain just 2cm of brain stem rest spinal fluid through looking at her.
They locked her up in a room with people speaking in tongues and told her my brother was disabled because he had demons inside him because "she listened to rock n roll music".
Yeah we stopped going to church after that and I was relieved because it always made me uncomfortable. I didn't know why.
Ironically when I was a baby I was kicked out of my own baptism because I wouldn't stop screaming after they put holy water on me. The church said I was disturbing the other worshippers, hahahaha.
It's become a bit of a family inside joke, especially since I grew up to be a Goth girl in a time it wasn't socially acceptable. Haha. I find it funny.

She acknowledges mothers who've lost children on Mother's Day, she acknowledges those that don't have anyone to share Christmas with (that's usually me). It's very telling of who she is as a person. I’m not saying this guy is a good man. I’m saying you people are weird to act like that’s a horrible thing to say about someone, someone takes their life. They have mental issues. I agree what you said Christina, that “someone “ took advantage of her, abusing her mentally, knowing that it could lead to these tragic outcome. I’ll be honest & come right out & say he is not a true man of God. Otherwise he would not given sermons where he talks so negatively about his wife. A sermon should help those in the congregation spiritually & give hope not plant erroneous ideas about another person. He is plain cruel

My husband is a pastor and has been incredibly abusive in every way. I have feared for my life. I am now living separately but not totally able to move on just yet.
He checks all of the boxes for narcissistic personality disorder. I will never be the same after my time with him.
The most baffling part of it all is that he seems to have the entire community of thousands of people BRAINWASHED. It’s incredible! Granted, there are a few who have heard my side and have seen or heard for themselves my proof that he is abusive and I thank God for them every day.
Some of these people have known him his whole life and are in shock because he had them fooled for years!
I do think to myself that I cannot stand against this evil force and I must disappear into the shadows and live a quiet life. He has smeared my name - just like John Paul talked about Mica from the pulpit, my husband has done the same - but God will handle this. Always be wary of those who feel like they have to create a narrative against others and shout it from the mountaintops. JP should have never talked about Mica like that. Huge red flag.
Vengeance is mine saith the Lord. I cannot vindicate myself - it’s too strong. I wait for Jesus.
The first will be last and the last will be first. It is the devil’s world. This is a spiritual battle. When darkness sees light their quest is to overpower the light with darkness. But that will never happen. Maybe on earth it seems they are getting away with it, but light always wins in the end!
We will stand strong and wait for Jesus to return! Hallelujah!
I am thankful I made it out of my marriage alive. There were too many occasions when I thought I was going to die. And then he expected me to show up to church as if nothing happened the night before. I covered up for a long, long time!

Oh honey, I am so very sorry. No one can comprehend the horror & trauma the caused without living it. I used to wonder why abused women didn’t just leave, i figured it must be a certain type or something, and goodness gracious I got VERY crystal clear on how it happens. Mine was a doctor. He just so happened to be my doctor after I suffered a debilitation injury. He was mr wonderful until we eventually married. He “persuaded” me to quit my career in marketing to do it for HIS/“our” practice. He never could find time to add me to the business accounts, so he essentially transferred an “allowance” to me to pay for groceries etc. Always just enough. My injury got worse during our whole marriage suspiciously. I got to a point where I couldn’t work at all & kids were involved etc. He always had all the power & resources. After the physical abuse started I was planning my escape getting $20-$40 cash back on groceries as I could. If I ever tried standing up for myself his threat was always to make the violence so loud that the kids would hear it knowing I’d give my life to protect them from anything. I saw a comment about someone asking how you can end up not completely out, it’s when you have huge points of weakness, by that i mean, mine was happening while I couldn’t work, had nothing of my own anymore. He even ruined my credit my not sending me money for my one credit card & boat loan I had from before. Even though I was still working at the clinic from home in bed. Meanwhile he buys a new Benz for himself. I had no ways i knew of to escape back then & the kids had never seen anything physical, only overheard him raising his voice at me but almost nothing in comparison. I thought I’d traumatize them more if we fled to a shelter or something not realizing how much I was traumatizing myself in ways I’m still in therapy trying to heal years later. Not everyone has people, especially after long term isolation, or money, the ability to just go get a job at times. In my case I was on his insurance & had medication I couldn’t afford he encouraged me to take knowing how naive & trusting I was of him as the wonderful, fun, handsome doctor I always dressed a little nicer to go see. Before we even dated he stopped charging me co pays. I thought he was just such a kind gentle compassionate gem & so did our WHOLE COMMUNITY! He did charity work, sponsored all kinds of things in the community.. There were no signs. He held his mask for a couple years. I too am a Christian & swore I’d make my marriage work at all costs. I don’t blame God, I just didn’t know what abuse was. I thought it would be just men hitting women etc. I hadn’t heard or seen any type of narcissistic abuse, coercive control, gaslighting etc. These terms weren’t prevalent at the time so for the longest I thought I was just fighting through a storm, that he was having mental health issues & my big heart was so forgiving & just trying to help him so we could get back to the happy place we were in at the start that I hadn’t realized wasn’t ever even real. We can’t ever know what extent these monsters have gone to to get power & control over victims, and like sweet mica, she was sooo young she probably never even knew anything else. It sound like from what Christina said she may have just been awakened to the groom/ng in the mental facility. I was late 20’s & had several long term healthy relationships, went to school originally for psychology & it took me so long to see it. Even then somehow you can both still love them & hate them, bc you know 2 different people. I was never able to actually divorce mine. He was contesting it & I had no resources to fight. He ended up taking his life the year I left. You’d think it would be a total relief. It just screwed with my head even more bc I felt grief & hatred. Then guilt for hatred. It shifts all the time still, I don’t truly know how to process it bc he wasn’t always bad of course. It was like split personalities. One was my best friend, the other my biggest enemy. I do count myself fortunate that my life wasn’t the one lost at the end of the day. I pray for each & every one of you here experiencing any level of this pain & fear. I only have the utmost empathy & respect for the victims out here getting up every day & fighting forward. I hope we judge no one & try to help everyone we can 💜💜💜

The fact that noone in the congregation already knew and that noone in the congregation was there for her speaks volumes about ALL OF THEM. My pastors wife is so loved, and I can't imagine this happening in my church.

@Sindollx666x as humans, we are all imperfect. We must go to church looking for God only. The church is Jesus' bride, so we must love it, in all its imperfection. Those of us who "know better" are tasked with helping (shepherding) the ones who aren't there on their journeys yet. I know it is frustrating, but it's part of our duty to be there for the ones we absolutely do not like or want to be there for. I love you, sister, and pray you find a perfect place for you. ❤️ Our job here on Earth isn't easy, and not many of us are able to see beyond the flesh.

I love how Christina @christina does these stories for us, adding in your commentary with the story really shows your heart and that you care about the subject and subject matter and not just for clicks and views - I love hearing your opinions and not just somebody using AI to write a doc or story and that’s how you are standing out and enjoy listening

Thank you for saying that in the beginning about anyone thats loss a mother, child or struggling to have children that meant alot to me to hear. Ive lost my mom and been I've been trying for 10 years to have a child. So mothers day i always feel down because i still can't call myself a mother even though i want to and i miss my own mom. Thank you again.
