In this video I show you how to hide the base unit out of site and run and extension to cleanly connect the handset for use on the trail and put it away when not in use. Thanks for another awesome video man. Just bought my first wrangler this year. I live in central kentucky so to complete the KAT is definitely on my bucket list. However, my son just turned 6 and I definitely see us venturing out to the ozarks sooner rather than later. Really enjoy your content and have gotten so many Ideas just by watching your stuff. My goal is to invest in a rooftop tent eventually. For now, were using a ground tent. Sure beats seeing him grow up with an iPad in his face. Keep up the good work!

Almost complete. Came back to see how you got the radio up there, so need to get some velcro tape and tidy up the wires. I changed install slightly, putting the extension in a $25 organizer box instead of in the factory plastic. Thanks for the video!
I have a I-com-4100A mounted in my glove box, under the vent box. I also have a CB as well. I don't have a GMRS yet. The remote speakers for both are mounted on the driver side window pillar. Got to have my coms.... Nice vid!

There is some space in the middle between the two front foot wells. Anything put there however would be subject to dust, dirt, maybe water. I am putting mine where you did along with my power break mod. Big space there! Thanks for a great video. Your videos motivate me to do my own work. You make it all look so easy.

Great video, I installed mine in my 21 4Runner a week ago. I mounted mine under my drivers seat. I like the cat 5 cable you used instead of what I have, so I just ordered one from Amazon.

I just got my MXT575 for my JL that should be completed being manufactured in the next two weeks. In my JK I mounted my MXT275 in the center console. But the MXT575 runs a lot hotter so I like where you put it. It will give it more airflow. Maybe sometime you can do an in-depth video on its operation. We never could get the privacy channels to work very well and we have a lot of chatter all over the place. I “think” we got it to work, but there was a huge delay and all of the conversations. Made it so we turned it off. Another great video!
