Legend has it, the rodger beep is just "Jeep".
The roger jeep?
@@OverlandOne 😂 😂 😂😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
Just bought one for my 2023 Tundra. Just need a friend to get one, and also get a friend. 😂
the Jeep flavored midland radio only works in a Jeep.
so all the bronco and taco owners will have to buy the plain midland radio.
As a proud taco owner I'm offended...🤣🤣
I just run a cheap Chinese dual band in my Taco!
nah they'll be stuck with a steamed ham boofwang
How do it know it isn’t in a Jeep? that be the deep thought question of the day :42 👍😉
GMRS is the way to go when you need communication with all family members in a calamity. Need more repeaters in high and low places and the community needs to align each repeater to extend the services.
yeah who needs steamed hams anyway they sucks
@@coolelectronics1759 you call them steamed hams despite the fact they are obviously grilled.
@@dusty6570 it's an upstate New York thing, actually Albany.
Ham Radio is overrated. Besides it geared for those who like to build and design, not for those who just want to talk and stay in touch.
I will put that Jeep radio in my Toyota and love it!
The regular version is exactly the same as this version, just without the Jeep branding.
You will die a fiery death
The Sad Hams are going to be angry that there aren't Jeep versions of their radios.
I like your shirt! Stand strong California, against the upcoming seasonal tyranny.
"Formerly chocolate stained fingers" Cracks me up. He needs a chocolate colored microphone.
Thanks again for a great video!! This is my next venture coming from GRMS handheld.
LOVE THE SHIRT!!!!
Don't get this radio. I had one in my 1968 Prius and it cut my gas mileage in half. Also the FCC tracked me down and killed my family because I let it touch a baofeng by accident.
They did you dirty...😂😂
Gosh, Midland needs to brand one for Harley owners. Hell, they’d find a way to mount that thing and it would be better than the CB setup
I love it when you do the "Affiliate link below"
I’ll hold out for the Baofeng UV-Jeep-R
I am disappointed that in your mention of lawless high-crime areas with weak leaders, you did not give a special mention to Seattle (WA), a/k/a "Crazy Town".
Yeah but we were thinking it already
Randy
I have just completed a radio "go bad" that as a 50 watt radio and two HT's. It allows me to take comms with me and I feel it may be a solution for GRMS because everything s there including a battery. No Holes to drill in your car! Glenn N6JAI
I recently ran across a gmrs repeater that to gain access you had to agree not to use a roger beep. 😂
Lots of them in South Carolina are like that. Lotta control freaks there. They don't want you asking for a radio check but to specify if a signal or audio report is needed. Some want to know what type radios you are using. Waiting to see one that requires a stool sample to get permission to use it.🥴
And I thought this was America
ewww probably owned by a bunch of steamed sad soggy hams
@@TribbleBot gone long ago...sad hams and government are one in the same these days..
Wait, I missed it. Where is the affiliate link? LOL!
Keep em coming! Love the shirt and the background.
🤣 Very Funny!! Keep up the great entertainment, love your work!!
Thank you!!
New sub here... NC Scout and Joe Dolio sent me.
Randeee is da man!
Used to use a similar Cobra version of that in the Jeep years ago, but always found it lacking on the speaker side. Couldn't hear properly. Quite handy though.
Neat looking mike. Might be interested in the added cost if it included a MXMC01 modded mike instead of the standard mike. Or at least a Jeep specific plate to mount it under the steering wheel behind the knee bolster and a CAT 6a extension and pass through to put in the dash.
Thank you, Radio Rabbi 😅
💯 accurate about California.
Background is on point as always Randy. Lol
Every episode I watch, I like your channel more. Love the shirt and love the background.
I almost pulled the trigger on this but I saw a brand kenwood tk 890h 100watt radio body and face plate went with that instead
Rumor has it that the Jeep flavored model also tastes surprisingly like chicken.
That MXT575 looks like wonderful radio. I wish KENWOOD, ICOM and MOTOROLA would get on the GMRS band wagon, but I assume those manufacturers have their own reasons for not producing GMRS radios.
Most all their radios will open up to these frequencies I only use icom radios on gmrs .nobody knows unless you tell them...
Which is interesting, because at least Motorola & Icon make PMR446 radios, which is basically the European version of FRS.
@@jondough4116 I know that all of those radios can be programmed for GMRS, but there aren't any part 95 A or E accepted radios for GMRS.
Well if nothing else than the remote ability of the microphone with a shielded Cat6 station cable to connect the ham radio in the trunk or back of your SUV or Rice burner with a tv in your dashboard. Where can you mount anything?? I love this design idea and it is not new! But why not??
@@jondough4116 This reply maybe overdue, but yeah, you're right. I used Motorola and YAESU. My Commercial HT was a YAESU FTH 7008 and what a workhorse, If I only DOC pc and had two of those radios, but they certainly heated up too quickly. If I could set up desk mount my CS 800 or 800D. I would not bother getting a GMRS mobile.
Oh look! It's got the 7 slats grille just like the Jeep(R) front grille. Unlike the 5 slats on the WWII Jeeps made by a variety of manufacturers.
9 slot for the MB/GPW
Get yer shit straight.
I already pressed like after 15 seconds because of the shirt and monitor image.
Superhet I'll bet added to the dollarz !
Has Midland ever heard of Wouxon?
I guess I could afford the 15w version, but it doesn't go well with the dash of my M38... Do they make one with a "steam gage"?
Jeep flavored gmrs? If I didn't already have a radio dork setup, I'd be happily down for it.
You said Toyota...im butthurt now. Wah...love the videos as always brother. Informative and so humerous as always. Did I spell that right? 😂😂 you need to do a huge following youtube Moab event where we get to go there and circle jerk with our favorite coms and off road people containers. We can even kidnap the butthurt folks that leave butthurt comments and use them for traction pads.
Blue Tupperware cup you have there? Well that is what it looks like to me my friend?
Is there any way that Channels 8-14 can be programmed like mentioned on the MXT500 in your other video?
Is the mount for the MXT 575 the same as the mount for the MXT 275, or is it larger/different size?
Is the Midland MXAT26 antenna that you talked about compatible with the BTech GMRS 50 V2 mobile 50 watt radio?
I couldn't help but notice the mic has the front end of a Jeep on it. :O Coinkidink? IDTS.
I have a gmrs radio installed in my 02 Sport Trac
but there is no one on any freq
One question!? Where can I find normal people?
Why would you want to? They are no fun. 😂
With today's plastic dashes, would you ground at the dash and the battery? An answer would be very nice!
Either the floor or the battery.
Refreshing Video 😂... I won't waste your time with a long post on the greatness of this video...Affiliate Links below...
Does it have a roger beep ?
Some.... Jeep ....People.... are into the duck thing. Does this version of Jeep flavored radio end transmission with a quack instead of a roger beep???
Some... People... can reclaim their duck from the empty parking space when I leave. Littering annnnnnnd....Littering annnnnnnnnd...
Jeep = More Gooder.
Wrist strap?
Appropriate T-shirt.🇺🇸
Do they make it in Harley-Davidson flavor?
Although liking the information, I am concerned that my previous GMRS hardwares and licenseses fees, did not greatly enhance my social conversations. Where might one find dwarves that might talk to you on this form of communication? Maybe hourly cash prizes?
We have few participants in the GRMS space locally, due to a shortage of trailer parks, and homeless encampments, and Brittany Spears fan clubs.
Thanks Randy.
No mask sign, love it!
Why park a Jeep anywhere in California? Use it to flee the area! Thank you for the public service announcement, sir! 🤠
Can you use the vanilla flavored version with chocolate stained fingers?
Yes, as long as you are wearing gloves 😂 no glove, no love 😉
If it's anything like any Jeep owner it won't get any real use at all it will just go from home to shopping center, haha.
The standard... Jeep with an angry grille, lifted with wide bro-dozer wheels, folding shovel, rotopack fuel and water containers, and it's all unused and sun baked... And random colorful led lights too..
Facts...lmao
So, which type of microphone works best when wearing a face mask?
I want a Taco 🌮 flavored version.
😊
*NO MORE MASK!*
Where can I get that shirt?
There is a link in the description under the video.
👍
There are reports that some of the midlands cant do wideband and its confusing on which ones can and which ones cant.. as the narrow band ones dont work on repeaters and have low volume
Its very simple.
For the MXT275 and MXT575, new ones do, old ones dont.
And the assertion that narrowband does not work on repeaters is incorrect.
Hey Midland if your listening. Where am I supposed to use that magnetic antenna on my jeep ? Aluminum hood and a fiberglass roof ?
Super glue it
Question Mister Randy about mounting this in my vehicle can I hide the mobile somewhere where all I can't see it and only use the Mic. Thanks. And where would be a good place to hide.
you can put the chassis anywhere, but remember that you have to be able to plug the mic into it.
@@TheNotaRubicon Thanks Mr Randy maybe I'll put it under the dash.
How many ducks does it come with?
I wonder if they will make a Toyota Corolla flavored radio
Tastes like old plastic and vinyl
how bout a steamed sad ham one
No bullshit, crawling a convoy of Humvees over a goat trail of a road in Afghanistan, high up on top of a mountain and what do we meet at the top but a Toyota Corolla. We thought we were doing something until that car beebopped right on past us.
Where did you mount your antenna on your Jeep?
Rear-passenger side corner on the tailgate hinge.
Would you recommend the uv5g or gm15 pro ?
I'm struggling to understand how that question is related to Midland's new MXT575 radio, which is what we're all talking about here.
@@TheNotaRubicon it’s not related at all. But, a lot of content creators don’t respond to older videos

Is the vanilla flavored radio cheaper? 🤣
I drive a 2005 Jeep Liberty so my Jeep GMRS radio can only have 25mW erp.
Does help you find other jeep guys so you can give each butterfly kisses
Tacos 4 life 🤣🤣🤣
I’ll put one in my Subaru and it’ll identify as an Icom.
"Chocolate"
No boo-fwang?
I want to see more steamed hams!
in the comments!
I’m convinced there are nictitating membranes in your eyes so you don’t actually have to blink. 👁️
Only weak-minded humans blink.
I have a serious question. You say that the 15 watt will give you the same range as the 50 watt radio. Could you explain why that is? And/or when you would want to buy the 50watt version over the 15 watt version. That might make a good video.
Thanks. And stay strong. The insanity in California will come to a head and maybe...just maybe the current regime will be voted out and strong leadership that believes in freedom will be voted in. Even at the local level. One can only hope.
I dont think I said that...
BUT - in most cases, most of the time, for most people, usually, power will not be your limiting factor, the landscape will be - so in this case, usually, most of the time, generally speaking, you wont notice much difference..
If you are testing over open water with no obstructions, all else being equal, 50W will get you more farz than 15W..
@@TheNotaRubicon Much thanks.
and thanks for the course correction on my spelling. I always spelt farz with a 's' at the end. And I assumed that it didn't begin with a 'ph' or a 'pf'...or even a 'gh' like at the end of enuff.
Height is might. A Baofeng on 1 watt will go further on high ground than a fancy shmancy Motorola in a valley running 25 watts
Still not a good antenna mount solution.
and yet it is perfectly good for the dozens of people that I know that are using this exact antenna mount solution.
Wait, my MXT 275 antenna is on the hinge of my 05 TJR. But wait 😮 the exsess cable is coiled up in the floor under my mud mat.😂 And I get lots of farrrrssss😊
I’m not normal
Does it actually taste like a Jeep
Jeep flavored? So mud and overheated coolant? Gross. Won't be getting one for my Bronco.
You have a more distinguished taste I see. You must prefer broken steering rack flavor.
I'll admit it - Just Empty Every Pocket, if it says Jeep I'm likely going to buy it
So you buy the radio. Then you throw in the price of a Jeep………
😂😂😂great
