    This is going to be a video on how to turbo your m103 2.6 or 3.0 inline 6 mercedes engine with the standard cis setup. I apologize in advance for the video quality im a mechanic that is new to the recording world im going to try my best to do breakdowns for everyone on all things to do with the 80s and 90s mercedes. The parts list you'll need to do a full turbo setup is going to be
    turbo manifold ( there are many different places to get the turbo manifolds just do a quick search online I got mine from desert designz)
    oil feed and oil drain hoses (you can usually find kits that come with both and the bolts needed for the turbo
    turbo ( I'm not going to tell you you have to get a name branded turbo or some cheap turbo this is entirely up to you keep in mind you can not add more than 8lbs of boost with the stock cis setup if you want more you need to add efi)
    exhaust vband or downpipe adapter to start your exhaust this will vary on what turbo style you get
    10AN fitting with a nut on the back for the oil pan you CAN NOT tap the oil pan its to thin I've seen many issues with people trying to do this
    intercooler piping if you want to do the same setup I have you only need a single 45' angle piece
    blow off valve pick the right size for the turbo you chose
    external wastegate if your turbo doesn't have one built in
    silicone hoses for your intercooler piping from turbo to Throttle body
    oil filter sandwich they are all universal just pick a color you want.
    exhaust piping if your going to do it yourself or take it to a shop
    02 bungs for the stock 02 sensor and a wideband so you can keep an eye on your afr
    boost gauge so you can make sure you don't go over 8lbs of boost
    vacuum hoses for boost gauge, bov, waste gate, ect
    stuff for oil change because you will be doing an oil change
    Those are the items you'll need to turbo your car; I didn't show you in the video because everyone's setups will be different and 90% of the parts we used on this turbo build is stuff we have had laying around to make this turbo kit. All of the tools used in this video are pretty simple tools no special tools were needed to do this build other than a welder. We will be doing a few more videos on this build to show you how we have our set up driving videos and tuning videos. If you would like to see anything in particular or have any questions feel free to ask away I've done many turbo setups with the cis on different cars with this engine it's very simple compared to other engines and setups. We hope you enjoyed the video thanks for watching see you in the next videos.

    Hey man hope you are well.
    I started running a 200cc injector activated by a 3psi hobbs switch for boost enrichment, the injector bleeds fuel from the fuel metering head and sends it back to the fuel return line. When it switches on I get 11.5-11.8 afr.
    Just wondering if you know the power limitations of the Ke jet fuel metering flap? How much air can it measure until it bottoms out?

    Hi, what is the HP increase?

    • @bigmoney4661
      @bigmoney4661 Месяц назад +1

      @hamlulit I think the 103m has 160-180hp or something na. So for every bar of boost we increase it by 2 times the power so 160 would be around 320 at 1bar or 14.5psi of boost. The size of the turbo is important as well and I don't really think you'd want to do more than 7psi, at least that's what I've read. 7psi would put you at 270hp I think 270-250, you need a tuner. I assume they say 7psi maximum online because you'll run out of stock injector beyond it or blow a head gasket. There is virtually almost no limit to the amount of boost depending on the turbos size though, if it was all forged, a 160hp moter could take 5bar or more multiplying it's power 5 times 700hp+.

    On the oil return line from the turbo, what's stopping you from simply drilling and tapping the oil fill cap on the valve cover and dumping return oil there? I don't think anything there would be upset with the extra feed and it would go back to the pan without any worry about cavitation and sloshing, as well as the shavings. And it would be 100% reversible with a $10 cap. I definitely haven't tried this, just thinking out loud.

    • @Dymitr_Nawrocki
      @Dymitr_Nawrocki 5 месяцев назад +1

      Turbo oil drain can not go upward from turbo, if it will oil wont just immidietly flow down drain in turbo but it will collect in turbocharger and be able to go past seals and into exhaust and intake side of turbine wich will result in huge oil consumption and a lot of smoke. When you make turbo oil drain make sure the hose goes downward all the way from turbo to oil pan and that at the place where it enters oil pan it is still above oil level.

    (I ask bc i don't know)
    You are running a no intercooler which means the hot turbo air is going straight back into the engine just what to know how risky that is and is there downsides or does it ruin your engine or won't be able to run a long time bc of the hot air

      I wouldn't do more than 6-8 lbs it will heat soak ect we ended up adding water methanol injection to this specific build also it all depends on the tuning as well you can't get 2much with cis setup if you want good real power with no issues efi is best but the cis is good for now

      @@joehebbo7047 it can work up to about 6-8lbs of boost with zero issues go check out my other videos. I did it to multiple m103 engines I drive them around on a daily. There are a few other people that have done it as well you can't get crazy power out of them but you can run them with little boost.

      @@thebenzhouse Fine! Im automotive engineer, i also related to engineers of Mann Filter in Germany i also visited R&D center .. so there is way more tech inside of a oil or air filter as in coffee filter :) I know in US you use K&N washable air filter .. its crazy but I never heard ob reusable oil filter. But ok. Maybe you right and im only a Victoire Marketing, who knows, but 16 miles kind short period. Hope your engine do well further mate! Of course its nonsense to talk about oil filter while you have aluminum chips in the oilpan. No front- I just very horrified! Your car, you do what you think is right for you!
