Dear Hal! I cannot express how much I appreciate all the effort you and your camera men have put out to make these videos possible. I have learned so much about tracking watching nearly every video you have produced. Oh yeah I have also been very entertained! I have been tracking here in northern Wisconsin for the past 5 years or so and although I have not yet closed the deal, due to your videos I feel like I am gaining the knowledge and confidence I need to make it happen. Thank you so much!
Great video! For me, I don't need to see a kill every time. I enjoy learning about different styles of hunting in different regions of this great country of ours. Anyway, nice work, boys.
After a fresh snow, I used to take 3-4 steps and not proceed until I checked with the binoculars. I almost always saw the deer first. Forced me to go slowly.
Hard to understand the frustrat😅ons of a tracker when most videos end in a kill! Love to see that the best don’t always win the game! Wouldn’t be any fun if they did! Thanks again, Will
My thoughts exactly! I hunt with same methods. 47 years of tags has taught me to take a couple minutes break, helps to keep concentration on track. The hunter was more concerned with battery condition than the deer... I've guided on many filmed hunts over the years and seen the same results. I'm not trying to cut anyone down, just saying what I see wrong from experience. Great video, good basics. Just rember to leave all your problems at the truck or you'll see tail flags all day.
Hi Hal & Company; Yes I think your right about the dead doe! Why do bucks have antlers? To control the does during the breeding season. If the doe doesn't give in to the buck he will use his antlers to knock her down and make her submit. I have seen it before and those horns are deadly. The does are usually dominant but when the buck gets antlers he's the boss; LOL
I've seen RUclips videos where bucks have ran does so hard and tried getting them to move with their racks they puncture them. Pretty crazy but I could see that being the case, or he wore her out that much that she was easy pickings

Good eating. Happy holidays. Some great footage. It looks like you know what you're doing out in the woods.

The Vermonter BS
That's one Bad Ass and ornery buck to kill that doe. I have never heard of that. Hope you get him this year Hal, I would love to see him.
Lot of discipline to check ahead continually as you walk for hours, seems like you need to be sharp and ready in those thicker cover sections
