I could watch these old school hunters all day! I'm PA hunter, and I rarely leave the treestand, but damn that looks fun. The knowledge they have is astounding. They'll forget more about hunting than I'll probably ever know. Keep up the great content guys. Great filming Brian
one of the best videos on the entire channel love the long format and the countless tips and tricks you can watch this one over and over. please bring us more like this one maybe one where you dump the pack on the mountain, discuss favorite knives, or bullet choices for our pumps.
Rick what an absolutely amazing talent stack. You have an incredible eye and after the years and years of time spent doing it it looks almost flawless to us who have the privilege to watch your work. Mad respect my friend you are in a league of your own.
I love how these guys will tell you the story of the bucks day, they have so much knowledge. Next season will be my first year hunting. I’m no stranger to the woods, it’s long overdue.
Rick once said on a podcast that he wouldn’t ever have a camera man follow him on a track…. So glad he changed his mind. Awesome film. Perfect. Rick is the man!
Amazing job Rick. I love your tactics it’s great to see some footage! It was awesome when you became a regular on the podcast. Huge fan of the BWB Team.
Wanted you to know I really enjoy your show. It's honest, real and your positive attitude is motivating. I live in the south with no snow but with that being said I can still apply much of your hunting techniques. Thanks and pass on the knowledge to our younger folks.
That was tremendous. Great lessons along the way. Classic northern big woods. Multiple outfits and equipment too, I noticed. Very cool. Can’t wait to get there again…. We in the northeast are very fortunate
Congrats Rick! Beautiful deer, miss those woods. Worked for a large forest management company for 5 years and was stationed up to Comstock camps for awhile and lived and worked downeast in Princeton for a few years as well. Great teaching and looked like a good few days on the track. Tree stands just arnt for me, no matter how well they work. Love that old Toyota too! Keep after it! Hope to get back up there this year.
Great stuff Rick and Brian. Nice to finally put a face with a voice Rick. Congrats on that buck. Beauty. Two themes always replay in all these tracking videos. Persistence and patience. Seems you can’t have enough of either. I’m still waiting for a video from Joe? 🤣🤣
I've hunted with Rick in Arizona quite a bit and he is the hardest most persistent hunter I've ever met. His instincts about deer behavior in general is amazing!
I would love to try this type of hunting. I have killed Whitetails about every way but living in NC in the Eastern part we don’t get snow much at all. Also looks too me being a smaller guy would help. I am 5 for 10 and it’s got to help crawling around in the think places but Hal is a tall guy and he makes it work. Both of you guys are great shots with a rifle and that never hurts. Great hunt and a great buck also. Almost feels like I am with you on some of the hunts.
Great video and thank you for being real, as this kind of thing happens more often than people want to admit. I look forward to your next video on redemption 👍
@16:40. That is exactly what happened to me and how I got my buck. I saw him chasing at 1am on a Monday roadside. I went in and scouted shallow during the work week in a cedar tamarac fen. He was hawking a herd of doe hard. He never knew I was there.
I. I was a snowmaker at sugarbush ski resort in Warren, few winthere's I don't know I was younger. And one of the facts that I learned while I was a snowmaker. Is out of the Sun, the rain wind or all of them mixed? What weather eats snow? The fastest and that would be fog and I didn't believe it but it's true
Love ya Rick but to be honest unless your gonna take a track rubbing it out might ruin another hunters day for a good track. Sorry buddy but I don't think I agree with that.
You don't have to agree, but it's very smart to keep competition away from the immediate area you are hunting, if you can! It goes hand in hand with not telling anybody your secret spots that you put the work in to find.
Good question. Every hunter has their own style. I’ve observed (and Rick said as much on the podcast with Lanny Benoit) that Rick goes very fast, at the cost of jumping the buck more, but is rewarded with more opportunities for a shot. Some go slower and err on the side of the “death creep” when they think they’re going to get an opportunity, and are rewarded with a shot at the buck in its bed. Mark Scheeren, for example, has more of this style. - Brian
@@MLSPlatforms put his time in to find the deer in the snow that's a joke I've been hunting my whole life never had a problem finding deer Ah as far as the action alone is all you need to see and a real sportsman wouldn't Evan think about it we are done understand you probably don't
Better than anything you'll find on the outdoor channel.
I’m surprised they haven’t ran these fellas videos on there. Great stuff!
That's for sure!
I can't even watch those channels anymore.... Such BS.
Absolutely incredible talent. Holy shit.
This dude is tough as nails, love this type of hunting. No high fences, commercials and all the hype you hear on hunting shows. He is the real deal.

Impressive. Finding a guy with this much skill level and this articulate is a great find! Thanks for posting.
He's very skilled in SNOW

Nice video for sure. But he did get that deer while alone..
We watched this film two times now and we will probably watch it again.
I'm from right across the border in Canada. The Houlton Maine border.
This is my favorite deer channel. Gets me motivated!
Congrats Rick, invaluable information as always.
Thanks for taking me on a hunt with you. Now the next thing I need is a picture of me riding in that truck !
The big ones haunt you no truer words spoken

RICK THANKS FOR TAKING US ALONG 🦌🦌🇺🇸🗽🇺🇸 GOOD LUCK TOO ALL ON THE WATER AND IN THE WOODS 2022 👍
THE VERMONTER
Great video really enjoyed it !!

Gosh I love this!!!!!!! Amazing hunt and amazing film guys!!!!!
He's doing a good job I can learn a lot from him can't wait to try that myself
Fantastic hunt with an awesome ending! Nothing better than tracking, the results speak for themselves.
Best deer tracking video I’ve ever seen. Native Vermonter here
Awesome video guys. It's nice to be able to put faces with the names and voices on the podcasts. Keep up the good work.
Awesome fellas thanks for doing this ; it’s like we are there. Nice buck too keep tipping them over.
It's amazing how you master the skill of tracking and hunt deer.
Great info from Rick on this film.
Awesome video , thanks for taking us along on the hunt !
That was great. Can’t get enough! Thx for sharing fellas
Appreciate the knowledge and experience, like being guided by Rick. Admittedly jealous of the videographer. Damn Right it’s a good lookin Buck

Excellent hunting. Love seeing the real thing. Congrats on a well earned 10
Now that's huntin'! Great video guys, love it... what a buck!
Again,wow,Beautiful buck
Good stuff, boys. Thanks.
A legend in person.
Nice, hunt congrats on your deer looks like some beautiful country.
Definitely brought to do perspective to me I would have never thought of hunting like this

Great hunter! Really enjoyed him.
I think trackers are some of the best hunters there are! Beautiful buck!!

Love watching this kind of video. Nice job.
Nice buck congrats!
Great shot with the Woodman Aaaams.
Great job on hunt
You guys are the best awesome info
That's how it's done, awesome job man!
Would be cool if you guys did a video on your hunting trucks. Highlight any modifications that make them bush worthy.
Big Woods Trucks. Good idea
That would be a good idea for your hunting vehicles, hunting camps, team members gear and favorite deer rifles
Great job Rick this is one of your old classmates wishing i could do that someday with you. awesome video
Wow this dude noticed the water in his track was still stirred up with mud, all with adrenaline tracking this deer. Incredible
Wow nice buck good job and nice video
The real deal right there!!! Hope to half as good as Rick someday
Very nice job Rick
That man's wall of fame speaks volumes.
You boys need some hounds lol cool video that's awesome

That’s what it takes. Reminds me of elk hunting. You can’t ever give up.
Great film and great buck, is it a coincidence Rick got him on the day without the camera man?
It’s very difficult to kill a buck with a cameraman. Hal has said often that it’s not just double the noise, it’s quadruple
Way to go fellas !!!
Nice video, I enjoyed it.
Beautiful places
Great Job.
BWB video - Not JUST great hunting - GREAT TEACHING - Thanks.
great video
Good job 👍
Which size the gun you used .410 or bigger?
Fantastic!!!!
did the doe circle down wind to smell you great video
Awesome video. Congrats rick. What was the weight. ???
Even the does are big compared to the ones we have in south Carolina
Just curious with all the walking over tough terrain what kind of foot gear do these guys use boots leggings etc?
Good question. Going to release a video Rick made discussing footwear later this week.
Did you have the barrel cut down on you’re 7600 ? It looks shorter than 18 1/2 inches
Awesome video. What backpack does Rick have on
Eberlestock. Rick prefers weight on shoulders, he had a hand in designing the new Big Woods Bucks suspender packs that will be coming later this year.
Persistence. Most guys would’ve stopped a couple hours into day one on that buck.

Rick can I ask where did you get the jacket? I like it and need to buy one
What caliber is that rifle?....Remington 742 correct?
7600,30.06
What kind of boots u where
Man I’d love hunting with you .. I’ve killed my share of bucks .. but I never did it your way .. I gotta call you sir … God bless brother
I’m addicted
She came right into that grunt. Wanted some buck stick.
Are you related to joe labbe
👍🏻👍🏻💯💯
And you didn't know witch direction it was going da
I sure wouldn't want this guy tracking me.
goes to show , you dont need camo. wind and movement. ive been that close to deer and elk, and the couldnt make me out, oh and no camo.

I would’ve took truck and ran over tracks in road
He's doing to much talking and making unnecessary noise we don't do that in Tennessee.
This is my Cocain
Ha Labbe do you think that a good tracker would know how to find that track because your unsportsmanlike foot action what a joke
What exactly is "unsportsmanlike foot action"?
Because he erased the track ?? Nothing unsportsmanlike about that , maybe you should get out earlier so you could get on the track
@@MLSPlatforms well I'm in the woods before the sun but that has nothing to do with his actions
@@bobwood3665 what’s unsportsmanlike about it . He puts his time in finding where the deer are.
