Just bought one. Man for worship it’s incredible!!!!
Yes, it is!
Nice review man, much appreciate. I really like the sound of it, and I’ve been thinking of picking up an acoustic baritone. It was between this and the orangewood Hugo live...
Just ordered one. They're on backorder. Can't wait
Hello. How could i buy one? Thanks
@@yarajo seems they're in limited production from Alvarez. Keep checking Guitar Center and Alvarez for availability. Get it while and when you can
This sounds brilliant…i need this!!!!!
I enjoyed your playing and the guitar sounds great
Thank you!
Just got a AG610CEAR and the dude at the register said they have a baritone version too, I fuckin love the bass on mine so I had to look up the baritone
I own this axe and put a LR BAGGS M- 1 active and looping with the both pickups is so sick
Hey mate, may i ask you about the accessories you are wearing on your right hand finger joints, is it just accessories of yours, or does it have to do something with joints? I have some issues, so that's why i am asking, i actually tape my right index when i play to stabilize it a little. Cheers thanks for review, the price is a bit high for me, i think I'll buy myself a baton rouge baritone quite soon.
Thanks for your review. I'm in the market for a baritone acoustic, but FWIW I really look for a better sound demo using a close mike and/or plugged in to hear the sound of the pickup so I can get a sense of what it will sound like for me. This sounds like you just played into your computer mic, so the sound comes across a bit less inspiring than it probably does in the room for you there.
Mine is coming next week!
You will love it bro
Hello, where could i get it?? Thank you
Amazon
Thanks for the video! What camera do you use looks great?
Thanks. This is an older camera of mine that's not really meant for video. It was a canon 5d mark iv
Mike from Staind uses a baritone lol. It’s also an Alvarez go figure.
Needed more playing. A lot more.
One of these guitars is on sale for $350. Oooof might have to grab one!
The abt60e is the cheapest and best guitar I ever purchased. I don't think I'll ever buy a standard guitar again.
For sure! It's a great guitar and helps you tap in to new creative sounds and voicing.
This guitar and Yamaha fg800 which one would you recommend.pl. tell me.
It's all preference and what suites you the best. I'm sure the Yamaha is great but I prefer the Alvarez
Friendly correction
The chord shapes are not different, just the key or pitch a Baritone guitar makes in the B to B tuning
That is correct. Thanks for the clarification!
can you share the recording from the use at church? I'm looking at getting one soon for church and just wanted to hear it in action.
They are incredible for worship. I play my with standard tuning. It works better for worship. In my opinion I use 12-53 elixir
Hello friend, I've loved your review about this magic guitar. Where could i buy it? Please heeeeelp, I need it in my life right now
Reverb.com
I picked up a used one on facebook. A lot of people have a hard time stringing it, so they can't keep it in tune. You can get a deal.
What kind of strings did you put on the guitar?
D'Addario Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings, 1-Pack, Baritone Medium, 14-68
Was that the strings the guitar came with?
How fat is the neck? I like to wrap my thumb around to hit the bass/bottom note when I play...
I'm not sure the exact size but I could easily use my thumb for that. You can probably find the specs online.
Your description has the wrong model number.
Thanks. I corrected it!
What is the song/instrumental you're fingerpicking at the 5:12 mark??
Just a progression I was messing around with
My dad and i both bought ourselves our own Alvarez abt60 baritone guitars and i will be using it for church this Sunday morning.
Thank you for the informative review!
@@ChiknEatnBaptist That's awesome. They sound great especially for church stuff. Just make sure to not clash with the bass player frequencies! Enjoy it.
I just bought what i beleive to be the exact same set of strings that you had installed for this video. Daddario's nickel wound electric guitar strings. Baritone medium 14-68..
I noticed that it says "electric guitar strings" do you like the sound, feel and tone of these strings even though they are designed for electric guitars?
To my ears they sound great in the video..
@@ChiknEatnBaptist Yeah I dig them! I've done this before with other guitars and it's really just your preference.
So a G chord is a B chord?
E chord is a B. I misspoke in my video.
Try the John Pearse Baritone strings, as you'll find that they have a couple of varieties, but I'm using the 3260L Light gauge set, (.015, .022, .030, .043, .054, .068) with a wound 2nd string too, (which was weird at first, but now totally comfortable). www.jpstrings.com/brstring.htm#baritone
Don't use the electric baritone strings on the acoustic. Using a string that is too thin will provide insufficient force from the vibration to properly "drive" the top of the guitar, and the sound of the guitar will suffer. This is why "light" acoustic strings are roughly equal in gauge to "medium" or even "medium-heavy" electric strings.
I've found these sets to provide the best tension for the bridge pickup system on my Ibanez AE255BT. It all sounds great through my new Fender Acoustic SFX II amp as well.
One other note, as I’m in two different acoustic projects right now, whereas one band uses standard tuning and the other a half step down. I go back and forth between the John Pearse strings for “standard B” tuning and a set of Curt Mangan Baritones, (16 to 70) for the half step gig as I don’t need much changing for the truss rod to get adjusted every time I restring.
crappy review, thanks for telling how much you like to play and so much fun it is and church
No problem! I'm glad you enjoyed it enough to comment.
Glad you gave credit to God ...beautiful playing
I don't mean to pop your bubble, but this guitar sounds cheap when compared to a Lakewood baritone
I understand but this is a $300 guitar compared to a $3000 Lakewood so that would make sense. I'm also recording the audio through the camera mic so you'll never fully know what it sounds like unless you hear it in person.
@@TheChandanBangar you have made a good point. I own an Ibanez AE255BT Baritone Acoustic-Electric Guitar and it is incredible though lower price. I also own a Lakewood J-32 which is much ruclips.net/video/TDY091ggxsc/видео.html
@@TheChandanBangar Excellent point! Of course there will be a quality different when this guitar is 1/10 the price! 😂
