Tempted to say the Tenth Doctor always looked and acted like a live-action anime character, so this fits very nicely. But then I imagine I'd get the snobby Western anime buffs attacking me. Either way, I love the insane little chuckle the dub artist throws in at 0:31. Cracks me up
Why does the Doctor sound so much like Koro-sensei. xD I've checked and it's not the same voice actor. He actually dubbed Iruka in Naruto and now I can't unhear it. Still, he gives me Koro-sensei vibes.

Wow this is almost perfect translations! Too bad the Japanese don't have a better tranlation for "ginger" than "red-haired/akage." Still, hearing David Tennant without his voice is shocking! Thanks for sharing! :)
@OJSlaughter93 They sell it, the BBC are allowed to be commerical outside of Britain. This allows them to have adverts and to sell programs, outside of Britain. For example, the recent Doctor Who video game outside of Britain will have a price of something around £5 - £10 while inside Britain it's free because they're not allowed to charge for it. (Then again we have already "paid" via the TV license tax)
@vnfanboi this is Doctor Who, they'd /better/ make it better than the original. That said its very hard to hear Kaien Shiba's (Bleach) voice coming out of David Tennant's mouth and Chrona's (Soul Eater) voice coming out of Rose's.

The others guys got it right. It's because its not a Japanese holiday so theres never been a Japanese word for it. Christmas just sort of cught on in Japan because its fun, and an excuse to party in the middle of winter. :) Kinda like how instead of 'Japanese cartoons', and 'geeky fanboy' we use 'anime' and 'otaku'.

12 years to late to get that Den O reference
以前NHKで放送してた時、思い入れのあった9代目ドクターから10代目に転生した時ショックだったの今でも覚えてる。調べたら、エクルストン氏このドラマに不満があったとか何とか。大人の事情ってやつか。
しかし今になってシーズン4までまとめて見てみたら、10代目凄く演技上手かったなと。歴代1位の人気って言われる理由が分かった気がした。あまりこのドラマ日本では知られていないのだろうか…。名作だからもっと色んな人に見て貰いたい

9代目、10代目は結構知られた方ですよ。
9代目は俳優として仮面ライダー剣の烏丸所長役を演じたり、声優だと「龍が如く」の伊達 真 役や「FGO」の柳生但馬守宗則 役をしていたり洋画でも様々な吹き替えをしています。
10代目は関 俊彦さんという方で「仮面ライダー電王」のモモタロスの声、「NARUTO」のイルカ先生 「忍たま乱太郎」の土井先生など声優で有名です。
この場面超泣いたよ。
９代目大好きだ。
外国の方には伝わりにくいかもだけど声優さんも凄く合ってた。

This makes a lot of sense that it'd be shown in Japan. After all, Doctor Who isn't really all that different from the Toku shows they have over there.
