This Theory TAS was created to demonstrate a potential time for a near-optimal RTA run using only RTA strats that can realisticly be done during speedruns. Often during the run I save after each star. Not saving would save around 10 seconds in total from this run.

This hack is so well made that some people consider it as a sequel to super mario 64.
It's criminally underrated - I wish there were more mario 64 Rom hacks as good as this, that still stuck true to the original game. this feels legit

Was this a joke or not... because.. He's using a TAS bot, a Tool Assisted Speedrun, meaning its a computer doing it and savestates, meaning he can reload at any point in time and try again. but the cpu might not need savestates

La wiki del romhack no revela nada que no puedas ver a simple vista, pero, yo interpreto ese lugar como el limbo, puesto que el escenario está en escala de grises y hay unos cuantos boos que representan otras almas atrapadas y así es como popularmente se ha interpretado el limbo. Además el tirarse al pozo o abismo, podría representar la reencarnación.

Technically yes. Savestates and re-recording was used to create the input file. However it does not use slowdowns, frame advance or memory watching opposed to what typically people associate "TAS" with.
