  • Dementia often makes it difficult for someone to tell us what they need. We want to make sure we’re providing good care for people living with Dementia so how do we make this easier for care partners?
Remember the secret to Dementia care is communicating effectively, using activities, and setting up the environment!

Would a "standing up" detector be useful in politely reminding the person to use their cane or walker? Maybe turn on the lights full brightness ?

Hi Frank, a 'standing up' detector can sometimes alarm the person causing falls or upset. There are innovative products like the 'walker squawker' available to try that can help remind to take the walker. joyforall.com/products/walker-accessories-walker-squawker
We often use motion sensor lights!

@@memorycarehomesolutions Thanks. I have been evaluating the walker squawker, and it is good at keeping a person interested in the walker once they are on it. However, I was looking for a way to use an automated friendly voice to remind them to use the walker when standing up
