- The time has come to head back to school to become a Captain. After 10+ years at my airline i'm so excited to become a Captain on the B737. I'm so grateful for all the help I've had in my career. Thank you to everyone for what they've done to help me get to this point. Hope you enjoy this weeks video!

What unit did you fly the C5? I was stationed at Dover afb with the 512 maw. I knew alote of airline pilots in the Air Force reserve.

Ten years for an upgrade! SW is my airline when possible. In my opinion they have the best pilots and aircraft. I recently read that SW only hires about 2% of applicants. So congratulations on being the best of the best

On my flight from Omaha to Houston Hobby we had the youngest Southwest Airlines pilot flying the plane at the age of 24 and was the co-pilot and was her first ever flight too. The plane was on a Boeing 737-700 N233LV was the tail number and the flight was very bumpy due to cross winds and the weather with storms in the area. Had to go from FL 37 to FL 28 Plus the landing on Runway 13R was hard but not too bad.
It will be weird seeing you film from the left side but it goes with the territory. Congratulations Captain

You have the perfect attitude for success on RUclips (and in life btw). My wife and i flew Southwest for the first time in a very long time to Kona recently. I could tell that, for the most part, the employees were feeling good that travel was coming back. I also acknowledge that there was plenty of stress because things aren't really "back" in terms of how things used to be. Congratulations on your upgrade and best of luck in the future. I'll see you up there.

Congrats to you. I did my 73 upgrade 4 years ago already. Still remember the first flight after the check as a new commander with new shinny 4 stripes. It felt a little like the first solo. Write me for any hints/tips. Flying in Europe though. But a BabyBoeing is a BabyBoeing. Blue skies!!!

Greetings from Australia Big Ern! I am a commercial pilot myself, but I have been on a hiatus from flying for a while now which began thanks to covid and hadn’t had much motivation to get back in the air until I stumbled across your videos. I have been in a big rut whether or not to start back up again as I’m working in a pretty good job and have a good work life balance but I still miss being in the air. Your positivity and drive through the discipline in the way you apply yourself to both your training and job is inspiring man. I really also appreciate how you always talk to your ground crew which was something I always did myself throughout my flying! Would love to correspond on some advice and to chat!Keep up the awesome vids mate and allowing us junior pilots a snapshot into the cockpit over there! Happy flying brother👨✈️
