- Beautiful abandoned 129 year old farmhouse with guest house and barn explored. Canada. Explore #36
This farmhouse sits on a very large property that has an in ground pool, tennis court, guest house and large barn. This was once a small farmhouse and was on the heritage list as it was built in 1891. Over the years you can see they added additions on both sides of the house and added shed dormers along the roof. With all the modifications to the original house it no longer met the criteria so the house was removed from the heritage list. This house has been sitting for awhile as there is heavy mold in the basement caused by approx. 2 feet of water. There was a few things left behind in the basement. Items such as Pool table, Piano, Ping Pong table and a Foosball table. The Piano was over 100 years old it was a Mason & Risch upright. I looked up the serial number that was inside the piano and it was made between 1900 and 1910. I couldn't get to the top part of the barn as it was locked but I'm sure it was nice.

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

This is the nicest abandoned property I’ve seen. Criminal to see such a lovely property not loved and lived in. So sad ☹️
Whenever I see videos like this it makes me sad to think of the families that once lived there and the life they had there.
Me too
I always like to think about them enjoying the house and having happy lives, whilst they lived there, unless I know better. 😁
Same...the houses always seem lonely somehow, after being filled with joy and love.
I CAN PICTURE THIS HOUSE ALL DECORATED FOR CHRISTMAS..TREE IN THE CORNER FIREPLACE WITH A NICE CRACKLING FIRE...
DEB....YES...THAT WOULD BE A GREAT CHIRSTMAS..
ME TOO IT WOULD LOOK VERY NICE DEB
Yes! That’s what I was thinking!
It must have been a beautiful homestead at one time. Huge barn for horses.
Yes probably boarded horses at some point
So much fun to go along with you! It looks as though the barn probably cost as much as the house. True horse lovers will put their horses needs in front of their own. It would be interesting to know what the horses were used for. Riding lessons? Racing? Showing? Breeding? Pleasure? Who knows....what ever they did with them I’m sure they enjoyed them very much. Thank you, Brent for a very enjoyable explore! ❤️
Such a shame about water damage and mold. This house gave off such a happy vibe
The water damage is an easy fixable, The mold is easily fixable, There's Companies that will come in and fix all that, There's absolutely no reason to abandon a House when the problems are fixable.
I agree, it really did give off a happy vibe! The emptiness is a positive sign, imho. They cared… they took it all. They took pride in the home and also the barn… spotless considering it’s been abandoned for years, surely. I liked the Hooligans sign on the upstairs bedroom door. ☺️ A mom who is cool with that is a cool mom, and the kids are allowed to be hooligans. A good sign of happy kids. Nice.
I always imagine where the Christmas tree would've been and how the house was decorated for Christmas. Then think of being a kid and experiencing Christmas there.
Wow, this house still looks pretty good. I always wonder what happened to its previous owners when watching videos like this.
Yes me too
All he has to do is research the address
@@sda9995 Looking up an address doesn't always tell you the story of what happened to the previous owners. It's not that easy.
People do know they can treat mold and moisture problems in the basement. Yes that's a more severe case but if you bought the home for the cost of the property then its would be a great fixer upper. My house had it a little and we just had it treated and we have a dehumidifier for times when its moist and a great sub pump.
What a beautiful barn! Their horses must have been cared for so well!
Such a beautiful house I would defently fix it and move in
you should learn to spell first. LOL.
@@tracyparker6676 I am sure that perfect spelling isn’t a prerequisite for a mortgage.
I'm glad you do check some empty homes. The character of a house is many times just as interesting as what people leave behind in it.
Yes your right 😁👍
Holy moldy that was a gross basement! Beautiful upstairs tho! That house has lots of potential❤️
Beautiful house Just have someone clean the basement professionally It could be saved
It could. I don't know why they aren't fixed up for like a habitat for humanity project.
I have to agree, it is a wonderful spot too
I absolutely love seeing where pictures use to hang. That light to darkness. Simply amazing
Beautiful, l hope someone buys it and brings it back to life...
What's with Canada these days that people find it necessary to abandon such a place? Hell, I would be happy to have that living room as my entire apartment.
And what of the millions of homeless around the world? What is this mania of abandoned homes without any mention of the possibilities of using these homes for the homeless? We're not just talking of homeless men, but the reality of millions of homeless women and CHILDREN and BABIES...
Bill Ernstberger It depends how the homeless got that way. I let a guy live in an rv I had and he almost destroyed it because he was a drug addict.
Many possible reasons it was abandoned. It takes a lot of money to maintain a large house plus there are property taxes people cannot always afford. It is sad to see personal items left behind but the younger generation has their own life to live and some are not sentimental.
The property is probably bought up by a developer for a subdivision or commercial uses, there are several homes that this has happened to around Bolton Ontario.
Well said . in general things now
are a throw away society. .people don't keep things like they use to. A shame for these houses
You seem like such a great guy, so kind and caring! Thank you so much for a wonderful explore! That farm house was beautiful!
You are so respectful of the homes you visit. Thank you Brent with your lovely smile!!
Thank you very much Bobbie 😁
Looks like its just recently been vacant...Looks so solid and beautiful just a deep clean, you could live in it again. Would love to live there. So sad with the water. Wish someone could come in and drain it, and remove the mold.
The barn would make a beautiful home. I see so many possibilities🤗
Beautiful house, full of light....despite of the basement. I trully liked it.
Yes the basement was a nightmare
Why, why?? People would love to have this place and that barn, wonderful barn. Such a shame. Thanks for doing what you do.
I love the respect that you give these abandoned homes.
Thank you so much for your great uploads!♥♥
Very nice, salvageable and livable home.
It’s absolutely nice. Hi Cheryl how are you doing today with your family?
What hurts me so is that there are many homeless people living on the streets and so many abandoned houses... 😕
I understand your feelings. Hi Diane how are you doing today?
Beautiful property. To bad about the mold. I also love that horse barn.Thank you for sharing
The tile on the fireplace is beautiful!
Sure is Barbara
Unique
That abandoned barn is ten times nicer than the one I have and am actually using!
That barn is so beautiful! Much nicer than mine too. A palace for my horses!!
Still a beautiful home just needs freshning up .
Another great video! I can just imagine when this place was full of life. It's sad to see it just deteriorating. The piano bummed me out for sure. Thanks for sharing!
So beautiful 😍 hi Carolyn how are you doing today I do hope you’re safe from the virus?
I have horses and I would love to have that old barn
Place is perfect for horses! Pond, pastures are very nice but over grown now
Look at all the cubboards. I could be happy there with all my books.
Yes! 📚
Incredible place. I wish it was in the south I would love to live there the mold is fixable
Nice to see this one so far doesn't appear to have been vandalized and destroyed. I wouldn't mind buying that property if I lived in Canada.
I really like the wood boards on the walls and ceilings. Then will be tearing it down? That would be a shame. Maybe the bank or realites can sale it. So much nice work. It was a fun family home to somebody's family.
Sad the mold took over. That fireplace mantle and tiles are gorgeous!
Wow, that barn was beautiful, the wood work in there was beautiful!!
I love the big window ledges where you can put a plant or stuff on it. This house is in pretty good shape Except the basement being so moldy.
I never understand why these beautiful places are abandoned and just going to waste. There is a beautiful home about a mile from me that seems like it was just left to rot! I would live in it anyday!!!!! It just such a bummer!!!!
Me too, I wonder why they don't sell it. Maybe they don't want to part with the land.
Bank Foreclosures usually.
Crazy CatLady maybe the people died and no one could afford to claim it. What is the history of the home?
Or could be in probate some probates take years and the house just rots.
@@audrab27 hmmm.... hadn't thought of that!
This is a beautiful place. Loved the barn. I Imagine that it housed some happy horses.
Fireplace was stunning. Since that was in one of the newer wings I wonder if that was original to someplace else or if it was a reproduction because it looked old. Sad about the basement and the piano. Probably in the early 1900s that was the pride and joy of whomever lived in the house then. You could tell a lot of renovation have been done but pleased that they kept The bull’s-eye door frames. Thank you for taking us with you. Stay warm, stay safe, and be careful.
~~Deb from Virginia
Hey Deb! I think the fireplace is in the original part of the house. In the video you can see the thick wall in the entry way and coming into the kitchen. The original house was very small. 😁
Abandoned Urbex Canada Oops... it was a horrible day!
Abandoned Urbex Canada - going to rewatch sometime today 😌
I see now; for some reason I thought it was in the room with the bookshelves. After 2 regular dr appts yesterday, I spent 7 hours in the Emergency Room, escorted there by a nurse from my hematologist. Then when we finally got home, we found that one of our kitties had passed. Not a good day 😥 but you’re video made me feel better.
Deborah Rogers I’m so sorry to hear this Deborah. Sorry for you loss and hope you get better very soon. Glad my video helped you feel a bit better
Very big house you can tell they’ve added on a few times! Love the fireplace!
Yes you can tell thank you😁👍 some others not so much 😂
So lovely 😊 hi tammie how are you doing today?
I have never seen so much mold before. The fireplace tiles were beautiful. I wish they were around mine.
That was an amazing tiled fireplace. Too bad it’s just sitting there. Hope someone can save it.
Nice video.
Thank you Sue
That tile work!! It is from the Trent Tile company in Trenton New Jersey, pre-turn of the century. The tiles were designed by Isaac Broome who designed the most famous piece of American Belleek- the Baseball Vase! If they ever tear this place down, someone please rescue those tiles!
Tom Bohley Hey thanks for sharing this Tom! The fireplace is in the old part of the house which was built in 1891.
The barn alone would be worth a fortune! Crazy
I love it.. My dream home in the country ❤️
The house is really cool, really beautiful. Cozy, classy, elegant. Thought and detail put into it. Love the windows. Saddens me to see these old lovely homes rotting away. That basement was really sad. Once a busy and bustling rec room for a hopefully very happy family.
Love the knotty pine! Someone took great care of that house...
I enjoy watching videos on old houses
Such a beautiful house, guest house and barn and the land is gorgeous. I can't understand how places like this just get ignored and left to rot. Oh and when I watch videos like this I always use my earbuds to listen for odd sounds because there usually is in old abandoned places and there was only one at 14:08 that sounded like woo or who.
Interesting! 😳
Beautiful home. The piano broke my heart. I could sense a lot of happy times there! Thanks....Good video!
Love them old doorknobs, & old wood doors , & that fireplace & tile around it. The older part had so many nice woodwork trim features. It's a shame about the flooded molded basement.
Brent, you were adorable ordering maintenance over the phone. ☺️ We need more of that, please.
What an amazing find, great to see no vandalism. The little guest house is awesome, and beautiful barn. Perfect property!!
Thanks Pal! Yes pretty far walk for the kids and spray paint I guess 😂 the guest house is cool but I couldn’t see the top part of the barn as it was locked.
Wow!!! That barn is AMAZING!!! it's all gorgeous
Very sad to see a home abandoned and falling apart, to know at one point it was full of a happy family. With a lot of work, money and the right owner it could be saved, but doubtful!
"Money and the right owner." Green toilet paper is what we use for money. Its only value lies in what we're told by politicians and, of course, we all know they can be trusted implicitly... And just who is the "right owner?" Politicians and capitalists. Politicians are those who actually believe they have the right, at the point of guns, to rule others. And just who are the capitalists? Those who have, capitalizing on those who don't... Is it any wonder that there is an over-abundance of abandoned homes and the homeless?
Oh my goodness!! LOL I found myself holding my nose when you went into the basement!!! WOW!
The Barn's in better condition than both house's!
Beautiful house with huge potential if restored. I had actually liked blue bathroom but I would replace counter top. Cats would love to sit on window ledges to lookout the windows. Thank you for sharing your find.
When you started I was like Wow Ill buy that, Then you went in Basement and I cried...So Sad.
Yes it’s pretty bad
Wow, beautiful place. Its been loved you can feel that as you took the video.
Such a beautiful home untill you opened the basement door, just seeing the mold mad me itch.
Light and airy and beautiful! I hope someone will buy that place. Even the barn have a great feeling. Great video, thank you!
I love that house it's neat. Beautiful designs and wood floors.
Nice to see it wasn't trashed! Great old place. I suspect it was sold for development.
If only abandoned houses could talk, wonderful explore Brent
Thank you❤️😁
Boy, would they have stories to tell!
Man, that house is a beauty!
I’d buy it, it can be cleaned properly from all the mold!
What a shame for this lovely building not to be taken care off.
Thank you for guiding us through the building ...
Greetings from Western Australia
Your welcome Klara! 😁
I love the building a lot. Hi klara how are you doing with your family I do hope you’re safe from the virus?
Why would anyone abandoned this house? I love this house...
What a beautiful estate that can be saved. Of course, the mold in the basement was unbelievable. I do believe that I've never seen that much mold ever! Great presentation!!
Yes the mold was very bad here
Great find! Regardless of contents, that house is dripping with character! As a Barrie area UER member who hasn't gone out in a LONG time, yer vids are getting my juices going again!
😁👍 hope you get out soon
Nice, loved the piano, pool table and the house, a shame about the mold and flooding. The barn was amazing.
That's the most mold I have ever see!! Omg!!!
Excellent quality video! I really appreciate the pauses, the looks back, the various angles. Helps stave off motion sickness.
I want this for my house. Some of the shelves look new.
Great explore, the basement looks like it was a fun place to be. Like the shots of the piano. Not sure why but always get excited when we find an old piano in a place. All the best to you.
Wow that is a beautiful home,
Yes and what a beautiful barn!! So sad it got left to rot :(
I know, I would stay there if it was mine,
I wish I was Canadian like my beloved grandpa I would go there and purchase that place just to live in
I would love to have this house!
Mason and Risch was a *top* Canadian make when our piano industry was for multi-decades one of the world's very best - partly because Canada's widely varied climates forced the curing and preserving of wood with great soophistication.
Just started following your videos , now a subscriber, really enjoy seeing these homes .It's like time travel taking a step back in time. This farm house in peticlar it's really nice why was a house like this never sold ,seems like such a waste. Thanks for posting very enjoyable Dale
Hey thanks Dale!
The great thing about empty houses like this is at least the family thought enough to take all family belongings and memories with them! And they didn’t get destroyed!
Yes I see a lot of places full of stuff 😁
The house is beautiful, so much living area! But my favorite part was the BARN. I can just imagine what a gorgeous place it was when there were horses in the stalls, plenty of fresh hay and clean drinking water for them. I really hate that it is abandoned and going to waste. :(
Yes this was a pretty nice place at one time
Yes this place is incredible. Hi Sarah how are you doing with your family I do hope you’re safe from the virus?
@@williampat4438 Sorry for late reply. Yes, I am fine. It's not as bad as it was here. Many people are not wearing masks except when they travel.
@@cabamama it’s ok good to know that, Do you mind we talk on somewhere preferable so we can get to know each other’s as friends ?
@@cabamama hi good evening Sarah, how are you?
I love the upper floor/kids space and that fireplace...😍
Sweet little Dawdi Hause too.
I love this home!!!!
You're too funny! Calling someone from a dead phone to come clean up the mold! (Minute 17:47). We love your videos! Always give you a thumbs up! 🤣🤣🥰🥰😘😘
Thank you!
What a lovely home, I wonder what happened? Thank you for the tour.
My guess maybe it’s waiting to be developed
So sad to see such a beautiful property falling slowly into disrepair! It must have really been loved at one time with all the details that the owners had put into it! Breaks my heart!
Love the barn.
Wow!! What a beautiful place. You can tell it was kept really clean and nice. The guest house also. They took pride of their place. The barn just amazed me,it was so clean ...well taken care of. Awesome is all I can say! Thank you for showing us this gem.❤️
Your welcome Linda! To bad I couldn’t explore the top part of the barn.
I love watching these videos. The woodwork in these houses can be amazing. (Old doors, door frames, floors, crown mouldings amazing)
Great! Well thanks for watching my videos
It is a beautiful home too bad it's just sit there rotting thank you for sharing
Such a lovely home sad it's sitting to rot and basement is sad with all that mold.
That barn is incredable 😍 the house was prob really nice when cit was taken care of to. Sad to see it abandoned
Same here it’s incredible. Hi Nicole how are you doing with your family I do hope you’re safe from the virus?
it must resently been abonded the fire alarm is still beeping it needs to be changed but it still proves its a new abonded house in great shape
Smoke alarm battery’s can last 3 years they recommend 1 year to be changed. Once they beep for low battery it can last another year.
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada its still resent 2-4 yrs regardless someone sould buy this house or houses n land beacuse its awsome inside and out who care about the moild n flood that stoff can be fixed the land looks like land down south usa like gone withnthe wind n jezabelle its a masterpieace that shouldnt be lost
That built in wine rack at 5:46 is cool! Looks custom. I also love the barn wood ceiling. Amazing that the fire alarm is still going.
Awsome find this place is in very good condition 😁
Yes except the mold and guest house 😂
Wow these homes are amazing. I love the snow🧤🧣❄❄❄
That 2-part bedroom was probably the boys room. Too sad to see a beautiful house more or less thrown aside.
Great binge on a Saturday night in the rain 🌧 ❣️ Loving that you put sm into sharing 🧸✨
