HOLY SHIT, I've come back to this after a while, and holy shit, how the fuck does this not have at least a million views? The quality of this is utterly astounding to the point that I could legit see it being a tv show!
I lived in rural Spain for half a decade, off grid, halfway up a mountain not that far from Albacete. One day I watched a four ship of Spanish Hornets running a mock attack on an abandoned finca ( farmhouse ) on our mountain. The weather was what I would call marginal and the mountain peak was obscured by cloud. It was the best air show I've ever seen, the Spanish pilots were highly aggressive with their flying. I don't know if the Hornets were from Albacete ( note to the narrator - it's pronounced Alba-thetty ) though. The airbase is called Los Llanos by the way.
arabs in their many wars have showed some interesting creativity in air combat , on almost equal terms they do shine like in the Kippur war where they almost eradicated like third of the israeli airforce in 2 days . many israeli pilots called them mad pilots for trying to do crazy maneuvers especially when they are in difficulty or have the element of surprise . the issue is that until recently most arab nations where always using weak weaponry often 10 to 20 years old that just didnt help them much , they can try good tactics and skilled maneuvering that can make any western ace clap for them but the weapons just didnt help . on ground too , a syrian tank guy veteran complained in a documentary how their tank assault on golan height was perfect and organised but their tanks were just too inferior in range , they were sniped at 3 kilometers while they can only fire at 2 or less . an israeli veteran who also was one of those sniping the tanks confirmed this story by saying that the syrian tanks couldnt fire back from such range even though the syrian assault was on paper unstoppable. the soviets counted on a 5 or more to 1 advantage with such weapons in the cold war to hide such weakness , they didnt make those weapons for a 1v1 or 3v1 but for a 5 to a 10 v1 like in ww2 . so for the arabs to use their weapons in a 2v1 or 3v1 almost made them deal only 30% damage and recieve 70 except in few occasions like egypt in kippur where it was like 45% to 55% . between iraq and iran things were more equal so both sides kinda broke some records and even made the west learn few tricks to apply like how azerbeijan did recently with its drones
The fact that your team was able to visualize these legendary pictures 2:55 already deserves respect. This transition, musical accompaniment, and voiceover give a simply amazing wow effect!
2:58 did you recreate that famous image of the us planes flying over the burning oil rigs from desert storm ???? wow it looks identical the edit gave me goosebumps never knew they did this technique
Really pushing the boundaries here, one of the best DCS cinematics/movies I've seen. You are right up there on the podium with Adrián Caparzo. Like that both of you have gotten into making cinematics with intersting stories. Looking forward to what gems you'll create in the future. Awesome work mate
Outstanding production. Bravo! If you want some more interesting F-1 stories have a look at the South African pilots over Angola and the French over Chad.
2:58 this right here has cemented you as the greatest DCS filmmaker out there, the fact that you made that ivonic image come to life is sooo awesome!!!
The quality of production that the creator community has been able to wring out of DCS and their own incredible skills is just amazing and getting better with each new segment! Thank you all for your skills bringing these bits of history to life for the rest of us!

Wow, nobody had any chill training in Spain. They really went beyond with the realism.
Weakest Spanish pilot vs. smartest Viper pilot
We need our own version of The Oscars for the DCS producers. This is fantastic!
We should call them The Glowing Amraams :)
Fantastic work! DCS cinematics are really pushing the boundaries of high quality lately!

2:57 This feels like when in an historical drama a famous picture is recreated, excellent work man.

Since I was a kid I considered the Mirage F1 to be one of the best-looking planes in the sky.

Damn, 2:58, that's iconic.
Really accurate representation of the original photo, even replicating the stores
The missile depicted in the video are not accurate at all, they are R530, not Super 530F as carried by the iraki Mirages.
Awesome job! Loved seeing my Vipers in there. Thanks for the credit at the end!

Man, now all we need are Jaguar and Tornado mods for DCS so the first persian gulf war could be virtually played out for us oldtimers. :D
And an Iraq-Kuwait map. Blows my mind we don't have that yet.
The quality of production that the creator community has been able to wring out of DCS and their own incredible skills is just amazing and getting better with each new segment! Thank you all for your skills bringing these bits of history to life for the rest of us!
