I have a question. Ive watched many videos from Tread and they have helped me in my efforts at a very small Christian school in AL. Was thinking of the physics of pitching and it caught my when you guys were showing it in your 3D analytics software. Was wondering where to look for said software...
Steven Strasburg had a 88-90 4FB in HS. They fixed his mechanics and he became a flamethrower. I shudder to think what he'll throw in 3 years. The fastball just detonates about 3 feet from the plate. That's an MLB out pitch right now. A++. Get additional velo, and it's a game changer. The off speed is scary. Youre not hitting that in HS if he's dealing. The slider is disgusting. Finally, he's exceptional at taking coaching. I just watched the Harvard kid's video. Night and day on the way they handled coaching.
It’s all training now. The boys all lift early and learn the kinetic chain. My boy is a soph and tops at 86. I remember watching mid major D1 guys throwing that but there are lots of arm injuries by the time they’re seniors. We had 3 seniors with ucl injuries and out for the entire season. I wish boys would not train so much for velo but that seems the direction all the young guys are going.
I wish I had access to this info when I was in high school. I was 5’10” and hit high 80’s. All my friends that hit low 90’s got drafted. 😭 I think I could have at least put 5 mph on my fastball with today’s training. However the undisputed hardest throwing pitcher ever threw in the 70’s and 80’s!
yea dude his offspeed stuff is nasty. The fastball is pretty straight and can be timed pretty easily, but since you gotta be worried about a few nasty offspeed pitches this guy is so tough.
His uncle (I believe) is the bullpen coach for the Pirates. Bryce’s ability to pick things up seems to be second to none, so this makes sense. Man was this a fun watch
Wishing this young man the best of health moving forward. I worry for all of these young guys…so many high expectations. As a former pitcher and pitching coach, the only thing I’d like to see is a little more flex at the hips to help him drive through more smoothly, but this kid is super polished for his age and being coachable makes him that much more valuable.
Can yall make a video on the “kick change” im a big supinator guy myself and have struggled with a changeup. Could be super helpful seeing a bit of a breakdown
There was a kid I know who played at a small school in southern Missouri in the mid 1990s who was all state baseball and basketball. Dude could throw mid 90s, jump out the gym, and was super quick. He would’ve been an all state quarterback but the town was so small they didn’t have football. He went on to play baseball at Missouri State with Ryan Howard. Really nice guy as well.
Damn. Imagine being in high school trying to hit a 95mph fastball. This kid has potential for sure. Be fun to see how he does in the majors one of these days
I had a .587 batting ave in HS, just wait for that fastball and don't be afraid to swing for the fastball and miss to anything else. Always swing at the first pitch.
Idk. That first slider was nasty. I’d abandon the curveball all together and keep his original slider. Work on a cutter if he needs 3 pitches with different speeds.
Great fb. However, he will have shoulder and elbow issues do to him not following through. His fb would increase if he followed through like Ryan , Seaver and many others.

Some of this has to be just genetics right? I mean this kid is insane. I would have been defeated in the on deck circle lol

kid is so coachable.
he’ll go far
Yeah, it annoys me he's with the Brewers(drafted at 57th and signed) but with pro coaches, he's going to be deadly.
I'm fully rooting for this kid, he seems awesome.
Glad you included the slow motion - it's great being able to see how the ball actually comes out of the hand.
Especially for sweepers. I feel like I can't find a slow mo release of a sweeper anywhere.

This kid has it all. Maturity, control, open mind and all the physical tools.
We got HS seniors throwing nearly 100mph. I cant imagine how much harder this sport is gonna be in 10 years.
the players have gotten better and better by the years, especially with new technology it’s gonna be a whole new game

Wow, this kid is amazing and that slider was wicked!
His command is really good
whoa. that changeup. whoa... he JUST started throwing that? That changes the entire profile of his pitches. fuck.

telling the kid to hit the 97 mph was gross. This is why pitchers have been blowing arms out like crazy
Straight up irresponsible to coach like that
Amen, dude 95 for strikes, let him develop to 97...arrogant

Almost 3000 rpm on a curveball is insane for a HS senior when the average for the mlb is 2500

Yep praying this kid stays healthy cause he is gonna be an absolute stud. Wow.

@WhiteGuyMike that's really good advice right there.
Attack, don't be attacked.
Wish this fella good health.and a fun senior season.
The command on that fastball will be painting Major League corners in no time. He'd be a hell of a closer. Don't want to lose that arm being a starter
His control is impressive
I see a lot of Craig Kimbrel in his delivery. His fastball just goes. If he wasn't a starter, fastball/slider is all he needs.
Damn, this kid is accurate.
Crazy talent and brain.
Impressive
Oh my. I want to invest in this guy. Give him a diet and exercises so he grows another 2-4" LOL
I like the shape of his pitches
kid could be good. lets go!
That kid is going to be a nightmare for his final year of high school.
Welcome to the brewers
Praying for his elbow to hold up. Kid can rip a ball!
Ik a sophomore who throws 90. Wouldn't be surprised if he just touches triple digits by senior year
This kid is unbelievable. He’s gonna be in the bigs.
Top H.S. prospect in the country?? You're taking a risky stance by saying he's headed to the show.....😂
Idk. That first slider was nasty. I’d abandon the curveball all together and keep his original slider. Work on a cutter if he needs 3 pitches with different speeds.
That kid can bring the cheese.
im takin this kid yard twice
Damn fast
Please include more of the slomo out of the hand going forward. Could watch videos of just that
