    This is great to see, an overhand pitcher actually generating this kind of velocity, though he is hittable from the slot, as he has relatively few K's. Hopefully he can build on this and become a starter.

      He certainly did has had an amazing first half after becoming a starter

    I just hope he’s not hurting his arm doing this. Its my first time seeing this kid and im impressed. Love his over the top slot.

      I think it would hurt your shoulder or rotator cuff, not your elbow. Sidearm/submarine would hurt elbow.

      @@manager4409Literally throwing at any arm slot is not good for your elbow lol

      @@ItBeNolanTho yup... pitching a baseball is multiple unnatural motions 😂

    Reminds me of Ian Anderson a bit with more velo. Pretty impressive. (If anyone wants some good tape on Anderson watch Game 3 of the 2021 WS again)

    His hair too much’s turned into 90-92 mph sliders. His arm slot would terrorize hitters with a 90+ mph slider.

    His only problem is he throws meatballs and every team hit every pitch he throws this year. Get him off the cards.

      You can read velocity and movement all day in practice but never know innate ability to pitch real world until you go game.

      @@jeffmilroy9345 The entire year he gave up hit after hit after hit. He is a horrible reliever for the cards.

      I checked his stats for last 30 games. BB 11 and SO 13. If my kid turned that in we would have quit the game and gone fishing. I trained him in simulated innings to paint the corner I would set up for: and if he walked more than one batter in an inning he pitched another inning (within reason). As far as wild pitches - we live in a hilly town and are at the top of a hill. To start the simulated inning routine he had to warm up by giving me a given number of strikes in a row. A "wild" pitch meant he was running a long way down the sidewalk to get that ball. He never even came close to loading the bags in game. One of his coaches nicknamed him "1- 800 Milroy the relief pitcher" after he came in bottom of last inning with the bags loaded and score tied. First time I ever saw two game balls given out - one to my kid for the save/win and one to the guy who scored a run in overtime. Its just too bad velocity is so highly sought. I will take the Maddox type any day. It's something that can be partly taught and encouraged but innate ability is 90% between the ears.@@jaredmonsmadiscgolf7347

      No way you spent all that time typing out a response😭😭 Who cares how he did during the season the cardinals weren’t even close to contenders and he’s an MLB pitcher. That’s more than 99.9% of players have ever done

    • @jeffmilroy9345
      @jeffmilroy9345 11 месяцев назад

      If you load the bags you load the bags. Seen it at least a hundred times. Maybe one day your guy can come in under those circumstances (and deliver with no outs on the board). It would make me a believer. I look forward to it - it is fun to watch.@@ryans1864

    I feel like, as a cardinals fan, that working on a circle change could benefit off of how these pitches look in getting swing and misses
