The members of Voiceplay have changed over the years, but this particular lineup is Geoff Castellucci (human subwoofer with the gorgeous hair) Eli (pronounced "Elly") Jacobson (the little bald guy with the rockstar tenor voice) Earl Elkins (high tenor...the guy with the beard that turns blue and gets literally axed....sadly no longer with the group, left a couple of years ago for personal reasons) J. None (Wolfman! Brilliant R&B baritone...also left the group to sing for the navy...but frequently returns to do guest features with them) and last, but not least, Layne Stein.. (vocal percussion voodoo master who never fails to disappoint with his talent..and also has a beautiful singing voice we rarely get to hear). That's the boys! But the lineup has changed, and there are currently only 4 members. Might I suggest "In the Hall of the Mountain King" for you to react to? Spooky season is almost over, but it will blow the top of your head off! They aren't called "The Theater Kids of Acapella" for nothing!!!!
Yes, their niche is musical theater. Seems that the best a cappella groups of that time developed their own sub genre to make them unique from each other.

And Elizabeth From the Charismatic Voice is doing background "Ghost"Voices.....she is an Opera singer like you. Another Super Great song by Voiceplay is "My Mother Told Me" .......The Guys look like "Vikings" and Geoffrey......girl, he does a few notes that sounds like a Bull horn! You will be Amazed by this song!

If you want to continue with the Halloween theme (and the showmanship) these are SO MUCH your guys - I recommend their latest cover of 'Hellfire' from The Hunchback of Notre Dame (which features their newest member, Cesar de la Rosa, who has the most beautiful, breathy-soulful voice and always commits 100% to the performance of his vocals) or 'Ding Dong(Hide and Seek)' featuring Lauren Paley. I believe you did their 'In The Hall of the Mountain King' featuring Elizabeth Garozzo last year? I seem to remember you commenting in particular on Elizabeth's vocals. For other, non-Halloween awsomeness, I can recommend 'Valhalla Calling,' 'In The Air Tonight,' 'We Don't Talk About Bruno' (from Encanto, featuring Ashley Diane,) and if you want some old-skool stuff from when Earl (green-skinned goblin guy in this video) was still a member, there's 'Boy Bands in Five Minutes' and 'Queen in Five Minutes.'

Their Disney medleys are great as well. Moana is my favorite but Little Mermaid is great too. Voiceplay has remained solid through several personnel changes.
might I suggest 2 Voiceplays (well one Voiceplay, one Geoff's) they're shorter so you could put 2 in 1 reaction... Geoff's "Jack's Lament" from Nightmare Before Christmas and Voiceplay's "Time Warp" (it's a short like 2 minutes or so)

i do miss earl i loved him he was a big part of the group. voiceplay lackes the tones he can produce. they have high voices but not like earl he has that special tone to his voice.

Really amazing range, both stylistically and chromatically. Layne is their No. 1 beat boxer. I thing J-None is the guy in the plaid shirt, who's also a tenor. And, yes, they are pretty much always this good.
J.None is technically a baritone, not a tenor. He was recruited by the Navy and now sings bass for them in a D.C. based Navy band. He comes home to Orlando on leave and has filmed/recorded several videos with VP.

They aren't in the same clothes they were wearing when the boy gave them the candy. Most of these are full costume etc, but maybe 20-30% are staged.
