I do have trouble with how much I add to my shaker cards! I always use too much. It's so much fun watching and listening to you as you create. Thanks for sharing your talents with us!
I can't get on RUclips very often sometimes but when I do I search to see what recent videos you have posted. I love your cards and your great tips and tricks! I hope you and your family are having a wonderful holiday season!!
WOW that is the greatest compliment ever! Our time is our most precious resource so that fact that you want to spend some of yours with me, means so very much! Thank you for that!
Whoa, those are incredible! We are really interested in the sequence of application and how each craft process comes into play. Thanks for breaking down the steps so everyone can try making their own holiday cards!
Love that there is someone else who is obsessively incapable of wasting the leftover ink 😂. I have also by now come to the conclusion that CP and DO are the two types of inks I really need (though I still have some Distress reinkers which stand in as my watercolours). Love your cards, love your tips and LOVE the cheerful, chatty style of your voiceovers - it‘s like sitting down with a friend, one who also love playing with inks and paper! Have a wonderful Christmas and a great start to 2023. Kind regards from Germany, Nicola
Such very pretty cards, Mary. So very glad that the top lined up with the shaker bottom. I had my fingers crossed for you. You are just too funny. Thank you and take care. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas for you and your family.
Mary! I am obsessed with your videos and am binge watching during this freezing cold weather. A huge thank you for the paint edger tip-I’ve been wanting a hero arts stamp scrubber and cannot find it anywhere. The paint edger is an easy find. Yay! Keep those tips and tricks coming, I am so excited to try out all you show. Your videos are *chef’s kiss*!!
I want to thank you for this super kind and encouraging comment. I read it out loud to my family and they thank you as well. You seriously made my day; thank you thank you!
Well Mary. Again, you make me giggle with my EARLY morning coffee. I always use TOO much shaker stuff. Must be the "crow" in me that LOVES anything "sparkle" my hubby has nick named me Crow 🤣 Love the line-up tip for getting the cut out of the snowflakes over top of the snowflakes below. 👍👌happy morning to you kiddo.
@@marypolancodesigns Well darlin, it is the time of day that I CAN spend on the computer. Otherwise, like yourself, I am a very busy person 😆. Enjoy the company!
Thanks Mary for all the tips and tricks. The snowflake cards are awesome: love the ink color. I have to say I was blown away with the scrubber tip. I have a couple of them, now I have an even more fun thing to do with that scrubber thingy than paint lol ❤gayle
Lovely cards, and great tips!! I am low on Accent Opaque 100lb cardstock. I hadn't been able to find it in stock on Amazon. I just ordered a set of 4 reams of 11x17. It will need a cut to be 8.5x11. I am TOTALLY excited!!!
I ordered 2 of those glass mats last year. One for me and one for a friend..highly recommend! Thanks for listing items you use..so easy to order..more time to make cards you demo. I think I will make the dark blue card for my thank you..since they will go out during our snowy cold month of January here in Wyoming! Even though we are having absolutely dangerous bitter temps here for a few more days! Merry Christmas Mary and a HAPPY New Year❤
I always struggle with how full to make my shaker cards. I try to cheat and look under the card, while carefully holding it up above my head, before I put the backer on, but that sometimes ends up in a very sparkly floor. Thanks for all of the tips! Have a great holiday.
I am looking for some sleeves to store my cardstock in. I thought you had a link in one of the video I've previously watched? But now I can't find it. Am I crazy, because that is a distinct possibility! Lol
Another tip I can give is do not try Bristol smooth with copics, it will smear horribly (ask me how I know 😅)! I saw someone use thin foam strips with non sticky sides , so shaker bits don't stick to it but I cannot remember who used it nor the brand. Maybe someone though will know.
Another way to stop the shaker bits from sticking to the foam is to rub an antistatic tool along the side of the foam. I think I saw Simon Hurley do this.
Great tip for covering the shaker card--thanks a lot! Also, I have trouble deciding how much to put in, and I hate discovering after the fact that there's NOT ENOUGH SEQUINS IN THERE! Thanks so much for your videos.
Thanks for sharing Mary! I made a hand held scrubber using an old wood block I had removed a stamp from and an ancient broken scrubber I had. Love your tips! Merry Christmas
Great tips Mary! Makes me want to create some shaker panels! I liked your ink blending on the Accent Opaque. Although I use it a lot for alcohol marker coloring, I almost alway use the Bristol Smooth for ink blending. I'll have to get it a try with the Accent Opaque.
Great tips as always Mary!! Love your videos!! I think I remember you mentioning in a past video that you may do a tutorial on Brother Scan N Cut in the future. Could that be a possibility for 2023? I have the Brother Scan N Cut CM350 and I would love it if you did a tutorial for it!!! Merry Christmas and wishing you the best for the New Year!!
Hi Claudia, I won't be doing a full review on it BUT I did do a quick start up video for it a while back. Check it out here: ruclips.net/video/wEQ-mC635z0/видео.html
Was this video supposed to be about making a card? Or getting people to click on the links to buy stuff to make you money? Everyone has stuff linked to their affiliates, I get that. But you spent so much time doing infomercials that I decided to stop watching. There are many that have their tool already. Just mention that you have everything linked in your drop down, and get to the card making, which is why we click on your video. You could do a video dedicated to all of your tool, and then have that link in your drop down.
