Mary, to star, congratulations and thank you for your service as a Military service woman. Second, your cards are beautiful, tfs. God Bless you and your family.
Thank you for the tip on the Bleed Proof White, JUST what I have been looking for! Added to cart! Love the MERRY hanging down like ornaments! Happy Stamping!
Mary, these cards are absolutely stunning! They are so much more beautiful than the cards I’ve seen from card classes that charge a fee to see how to they’re made!!! I’m loving the hombre affect on the MERRY card! I never would have thought to use navy on teal cardstock 😂 Thank you for all of your tips and tricks, money saving ideas, storage solutions, sharing your beautiful cards with us and the fact that you pretty much keep your videos to a minimum for those of us with minimal time to create! Looking forward to your next video. Thanks to you I’m off to holiday card making that doesn’t take 43 hours…🤣❤️🎄
YAY! So happy you're loving the series. Some will be more intricate I'm sure but so far they are all pretty simple. Thanks so much for the sweet comment.
Thank you so much: I'm so happy you're liking it; it's so much fun to do this series and in this way. I feel like I'm getting a lot of variety in my cards.
Hi. I know why that 'merry bauble' card brought you so much enjoyment.... it's because it's so darned adorable! It was funny when you added the little diamond gems to the end of the strings just after I thought I'd do it. Everyone has days like that and in my experience the older one gets the more often those days happen so brace yourself, dear! Also I think the old saying it true that if something is worth doing then it's worth taking the time to do it right. Your Christmas cards are gorgeous so they were woth the time invested as is the terrific tutorial, thank you so much for sharing it and thus concludes my ramblings.....for now!🤣
Oh thank you so very much Deb; you're so kind. I do have a lot of fun doing the "talking" with all of you. I feel like you're all right there with me. lol I can't wait to make more; so so fun!
Thrilled with my Switch. I'm used to a large die cutting machine, but wanted an electric one. So the Switch is perfect. Thanks for the video. Love ideas of making wow without tons of time.
Such wonderful cards! Neat trick keeping the letters together too. And your confession that you’ve taken two hours to make a card?! I wish! How about six or seven hours over two days! 😳
Good morning Mary. Again, you have made me smile with my coffee! Up building fires in studio and house. -1 up here on the mountain this morning. Studio kitties were happy to see me. LOVED the little letter ornaments. Then the tiny crystals for their connecting to the strings. Wonderful!! Yes, I agree with you, the shading up with the ink color looks marvelous behind the layered snowflake. I HAVE to try that snowflake layering. That was my favorite "borrowed" idea from your video this morning. Again, thanks for making my COLD morning fun 😺❣
I love my switch! I like to use it for cutting many diecuts at once! It is fabulous for doing cutting for many different projects. P.s. you can add water to the bottle of ph Martin's white and mix really well to become more liquid. Just make sure you use sterilized water and recover using press-n-seal to keep moisture in 😊. I love the merry with the strings and diamonds 💚💚💚💚💚
Absolutely love these cards. The mint green is so different, but very beautiful with the snowflakes, and also with the touch of dark blue. I’m always looking for different ideas for slimline cards and I have snow flakes too.😊
Thank you so much! I'm glad this was helpful and added a few more creative juices. These were so fun to make and I usually have no idea where I'm going with them. lol
The cards are beautiful as usual!! I discovered you somewhat recently, and I've been wanting to comment on your videos for a while, but haven't taken the time. I just LOVE your videos, for many reasons! Your creativity is awesome, tips and tricks are great, as well as your storage ideas, money saving ideas, product reviews, hacks, etc., etc. However, you also make me happy! As soon as I hear your voice I smile inside. I'm not sure what it is....maybe because you are always so cheery, and sometimes you do literally make me laugh out loud. Like when I read the title of this video, "not every card has to take 43 hours to make"! Too funny!! I also enjoy that you get right to the point about the subject at hand. You don't waste any time unnecessarily, so I have more time to watch another one of your videos! 🙂 Plus, the information you provide, no matter the subject, is relevant and valuable. I ALWAYS learn something! Thank you so much for what you do, and don't stop!!
Wow you really used your kindness superpower on me today; thank you for filling up my cup and making me feel great. I so appreciate this! Thank you so much for taking the time to share all of this feedback with me; it means everything. Big hugs, Claudia! I'm so glad you joined me here.
These are all so pretty! I love the mint and navy, it looks so wintery. I love the diagonal Merry. The little diamonds really finished it off perfectly.
Mary, on your Jolly Merry card, I am so glad you put the middle in the second "R" before you were done. Yes, I noticed initially it was missing, & wondered if you'd lost the piece. You brought peace to my obsessive-compulsive perfectionistic mind. I have been known to recut a die to get just the tittle or some other small piece after having lost the original. More than one time. LOL Though I rarely cut the entire die when I do that - just the part I'm missing & maybe the immediately surrounding area(s). Lessens waste, don't you know! 😹 Seriously, I love your cards, & thank you for the tips on mass producing while not feeling the need to duplicate everything. I did the duplication-mass-production thing the first year I did handmade Christmas cards, & it was NOT fun. 50 of one design & 50 of another. Ohhhhh, I was so sick of those cards long before I finished! 😒 Since then, I either do a small run of any given design, or strictly one-offs. Usually a mix of both, truth be told. Anyway, I hope y'all are doing well. We're still kind of waiting for Autumn here in East Texas, though some trees have changed color. It's supposed to get "cold" this weekend, so maybe the season will change soon. Take care, & I hope you have an awesome day! 😺
OMG I laughed out loud at this comment because I did EXACTLY that off camera. hahaha. I lost the little part to the R and couldn't have it. SO i die cut (only partially...just enough to get that little piece) so I could finish the card. Great minds think alike! lol
Really pretty color combos- loved the composition. I really need to make some simple cards, I spend too much time trying to make each a piece of art. Happy Wednesday.
I was at a loss before just sitting down with my supplies and things just started appearing in my brain. haha I struggle at first every time. THank you so much for such a kind comment!
I love these! I must admit that die-cutting is my first love, and I LOVE making cards primarily with die cuts. I will try to remember to sign up for your email...I love freebies ( what crafter doesn't, right?)
Thanks so much Ann! I'm finding myself making these cards a lot recently because of the ease of the designs. Yes, be sure to sign up; I try to send only when something is heavy hitting or when I share freebies!
Thanks so much! that turned out being my favorite but wasn't sure what I was doing when going through it. I think that's the point of just going for it. lol
Beautiful cards! Thank you! When you first started making the MERRY letters into ornaments, I mentally said "noooo!" and then that card turned out to be my favorite! Thank you for all your creative and encouraging work!
Haha Cara, I too, was screaming, "NOOO" I had no idea how that was going to look or why I was even compelled to do it. BUt it turned out to be my favorite card. So I'm sure there's a lesson in there somewhere. lol
Thanks so much for this beautiful card….my favorite is the HoHoHo card. I don’t think I would have thought to combine that soft green and Navy, but LOVED it! Green and Blue are my two favorite colors, so this has to be tried SOON! I really want to try the mixing of snowflake dies, really gives an all new look to those dies! Wouldn’t kids have fun with a box of various snowflake dies and a bottle of glue, would be really fun to see what they come up with! Maybe we could try some flower petal dies and mix this up a little!
Oh thank you so much for this, Jan! I really appreciate you taking the time to write such a wonderful comment. That would be SOO much fun to see kiddos doing that.
Could you review the new Altenew inks, they are in a round container? I ask simply because they are supposed to be 1 stamp and done. Will they need reinkers?
Hi Betty, my favorite card base cardstock is from Accent Opaque in the 100 lb but they sell it only sporatically. Another great option is Hammermill. Here are both links: Accent: amzn.to/3bKqmzY Hammermill: amzn.to/3VKPzS9
I have the Big shot switch, only been using it a couple of days. I find the embossing folders are giving me problems. 3D you are only supposed to use 1 plate and run it through twice, standard should use both plates mine won't, so I use 1 for both and I'm not getting a very good impression with either.
Hi. I also am having problems using embossing folders, ( esp 3D ones ), in my Switch. Have resorted to adding a card shim to help . My hybrid ( cutting & embossing in one pass), just did not work either. Hmmm..
Do you have issues with the switch plates warping? I have heard a lot of negative reviews where people complained about the plates warping faster than other machines.
Not yet but that's because I'm so intentional with flipping them every single time I use them and I don't cut stuff on the same spot every time. I've had minimal warping at this time.
I recently obtained the Switch but I’m not impressed. I really like my Vagabond 2 much better. Why? On Switch I need to use both hands to get the platforms to feed in but am able to just use one to feed into the Vagabond. I’m still recovering from fractured wrist with surgery. I travel with my SideKick that is great for Tim Holtz colorize dies. I haven’t bought pattern paper for >6 yrs but still have stock. I love making my own backgrounds now. And have fallen back in love with embossing folders for texture. I have supply of colored cardstock that I use for mats with my cards. I spend a lot of time watercoloring whatever I stamp. I normally mass produce 32 cards basically all the same. I thoroughly enjoy the watercolor stamps from Art Impressions but it takes me much longer to produce than Bonnie Krebs (owner). I haven’t seen many on RUclips that make cards for Veterans or Thanksgiving. Also not many for males. Seems like there are many makers for items with flowers and fry fru things. Can you start making cards for those occasions? I’ll be starting Xmas cards in just a few days. Hope to have completed by 12/1. Thanks for your creativity and encouraging us viewers to use what we have. I’ve been cardmaking 23 yrs now. I have Soooo much stuff to use but currently on moratorium on purchasing new supplies or gadgets.
Thanks so much for sharing all of this with us; it's very helpful! I have done a few Autumn themed videos if you want to check them out. Here is one: ruclips.net/video/d--HodD-k0I/видео.html I love Autumn cards and I've even done some military themed videos; here is one of those. ruclips.net/video/ALNmEfbLloA/видео.html
I liked the Merry card the most. The alternating colours on the snowflakes looked lovely.
Me too!!! I love that one the most!
Mary, to star, congratulations and thank you for your service as a Military service woman. Second, your cards are beautiful, tfs. God Bless you and your family.

My favorite card was the last one, with the blue ink at the bottom 😍
I think that's mine too! :) Thank you
Thrilled with my Switch. I'm used to a large die cutting machine, but wanted an electric one. So the Switch is perfect. Thanks for the video. Love ideas of making wow without tons of time.
Thank you so much for this. I do love mine too! It's so much quieter than my Gemini too.
Love all the cards, but my fave is the Merry
YAY! Thank you so much! I feel the same about that one!
Love all three! So pretty.

Such wonderful cards! Neat trick keeping the letters together too. And your confession that you’ve taken two hours to make a card?! I wish! How about six or seven hours over two days! 😳

How did you know that I take 43 hours on my cards,..😉love the cards and the nail colour ❤️

Love them all as always love the Merry
Oh thank you so much for such a kind and encouraging comment, Norine!

That's a great idea! Thanks so much for this tip, Kathleen! YAY! Yes I love my switch too so much! It's the best.
Thanks for sharing great info!!
I have the Vagabond 2. How does the Switch compare to it. I’ve been wondering about this for awhile. Thank you!!
The diagonal MERRY is my favorite. I think that I will make something similar with names.
Ooooh such a great idea; thank you for that. Thanks for the sweet comment!

Hehehe that's right! I love your open-mindedness!
They are gorgeous!
Thank you so very much
Lovely lovely lovely thanks for sharing
Thanks so much 😊
Beautiful cards Mary. I really like the blue ink blending on the green cardstock. And the snowflakes you layered up are gorgeous.
Thanks so much! That was something I wasn't so sure was going to make it but loved it in the end.
These are all so pretty! I love the mint and navy, it looks so wintery. I love the diagonal Merry. The little diamonds really finished it off perfectly.
Oh thank you so very much; I loved that one the best. I didn't know what I was doing with it to be honest but it came togeter in the end.
Very nice! I cant even pick a favorite
Awww thanks!
Mary, on your Jolly Merry card, I am so glad you put the middle in the second "R" before you were done. Yes, I noticed initially it was missing, & wondered if you'd lost the piece. Great cards and techniques. Thank you!
You are so welcome! Thanks so much!
Love the colors on these cards. I wouldn't have thought of them on my own. Thanks for the inspiration!
You are so welcome! I'm so happy it was helpful!
Beautiful and something I would like to try!
Oh this was so much fun; yes give it a try!
I try to make similar multiples too. Very pretty!
Thank you! 😊 Yeah that's the best way for me to get through lots of cards for the season
Gorgeous cards Mary 🥰 I love your color choices, your snowflakes and the sentiments ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
Thank you so much! I had so much fun with these!
Wonderful cards! Great color combo. Great designs. 👍
Thanks so much!
So lovely!

Thanks so much! haha i know that's a bit too long for you!
Could you review the new Altenew inks, they are in a round container? I ask simply because they are supposed to be 1 stamp and done. Will they need reinkers?
Hi Barbara, I'm sorry I don't have any Altenew inks; you might be able to find a review on YT though.
Lovely cards. Question - what white card stock do you like for card bases?
Hi Betty, my favorite card base cardstock is from Accent Opaque in the 100 lb but they sell it only sporatically. Another great option is Hammermill.

They take only 42 😜
Jk, these are super cute! Thanks for sharing!
😁 you are a time saver! lol Thanks so much!
