I’ve just retired aged 58 due to health reasons so even though I’m limited to what I can do, I found this very useful and helpful. Thank you xxx

Hi Rhian, I enjoyed listening to you talking about your retirement and how you have planned this new way of life for yourself. It’s a fabulous opportunity to have a good think about how to spend the years to come and to discover what makes you happy and what is important to you. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 and found that I was unable to return to my job due to some health problems caused by the chemotherapy. I had been very happy in my job and so it took some getting used to when I was forced stop working. However I have made the most of my free time and enjoy spending time with friends and family. I have learned to crochet and have joined a knitter natter group, I have also found a love for reading and baking.
I would encourage anyone who has the opportunity to to take early retirement to do so. xx

Morning Carol, I am glad you enjoyed the video. Leaving work was a difficult time because I too loved my job but it was the best thing I ever did. So liberating. Sorry to hear about your health problems, I hope that you are okay now. Sounds like you've found a lot of enjoyable ways to spend your time. Thanks for you comment.

I am definitely making the most of the situation I found myself in unexpectedly. I have learned to accept my limitations and embrace this new way of life, yes I am feeling well and happy 😊

Good morning Rhian My 20 minute challenge is not going very well. I did 3 consecutive days, then extra busy days when i had to accept i was not doing myself any favours. Another week now when i can make a fresh start. I am older than you, 79 last week. I find i tire easily these days, need to pace myself. I belong to a Book Group and a Women’s discussion group. I set this up some 15 years ago. We meet monthly, discuss a given topic for about an hour. Then have lunch. This month as one of our members works part time in our local pharmacy. She is going to give us an insight into the workings of the pharmacy, which sounds interesting. I have thought about joining an art group, a friend keeps encouraging me. But like you said, i feel Im not artistic and my work would be childlike. I do a lot of sitting, looking into the garden, or thinking🤔. Got back into keeping a journal. Ive a suitcase full of them! I’ve had a few bereavements lately and I’m sure that is playing a part right now. Enough of myself. Pleased you are keeping on with your channel, I’m liking it. X❤

Thank you so much Chrissie, I'm just going to keep going and keep trying to improve. Good for you doing 3 consecutive days on the walking challenge, it's better than non at all. Hopefully, you can pick it up again this week, if you have more time. Be gentle on yourself though, we just have to keep moving forward and trying your best. Your discussion group sounds great, really interesting. I'd like something like that. I'm a bit of a daydreamer or thinker like you and enjoy being out in the fresh air. I'd say go for it with the art & creativity. I've enjoyed it so much, despite my lack of natural talent. Thanks for your support of my channel Chrissie, I really do appreciate it.
