You must be my spiritual twin as i do the same thing. Ordered a used AS6706T, 32 gb ram, 3x 1TB M.2 SSD (One for OS + some data, and two for read/write cache). I'm still thinking about the HDDs. Think it will be either 3x14 TB or 3x 20 TB in RAID 5 for my Video projects archive that included a lot of raw footage.

Asustor gen 2 AS6702T was my choice, this server kicks hard, it can take it, besides its two 3.5 drives with 4 NVMe drives for read only or read/write NVMe's to get it right. The other brands bite dust compared to the Asustor Lockerstor 2 Gen 2. Run with rebuilt HGST 8TB 7200rpm 128MB cache CMR drives, they even refill with helium after the lid off inspection, with a 5 year warranty, can't beat it.,

I bought this a few months back - I added 32 TB + 2 SSD each 1 TB for cache - I only turn it on to back up 😅

Good Setup video. I would love to see a local Wordpress Web site setup on the Asustor NAS, without using Docker. I have not been successful so far.
