Almost immediately after the music began, all four of my cats entered the room and became very interested in the sounds. I understand what's happening man. I got it.
Cheikh Ndigeul Lo always kept on doing top quality music. I’ve worked more than 15 years as an african music promoter and Whenever I saw him playing it’s high performance. Thank you for representing our beautiful country Senegal
I am just happy that in our current time where music and musicians are treated so low and under-appreciated, there is still a platform or program like this that values live music and musicians just like how they do it back in days. Thank you for this program. Pls do not stop this.
@@herrrmike They are paid very little. There are more centralized global communities online, but that doesn't negate the fact they are paid the same dollar amount as they were paid decades ago. The pay we give musicians for gigs in low, if they are paid at all.
Senegal like Africa's index finger touching the world, and Dakar is the nerve center of that finger... So many musical traditions come together in that one place
what a lovely soul Cheikh is...also i dont understand a word but his album was on repeat to and from work 6months straight LOL thats the power of his music...stay blessed Mr Lo..
Wow. To think that only yesterday I was at the ER suspecting appendicitis and today, I am here, alive, well and listening to this wonderful music by Cheikh Lô
I first saw Cheikh Lo at Jazz Fest many years ago, 2002, with my wife to-be (we've been married 15 years now). His music has been so many places around the world with us since. Thank you!
Stumbled upon this totally by accident, having no idea who Cheikh Lo or what KEXP is. This music is so enchanting and the band so watchable I can't leave my laptop. Great interview as well. Thank you!
I'm loving these African musicians! This band reminds me of something. Like Paul Simon meets bob Marley or something. Doesn't matter its gorgeous music.
