Squall is Laguna's son alright. The tower's there for everybody to see, but he wanders off to a different place and would've ended up getting lost like his Old man in Lunatic Pandora in FFVIII had y'shtola not pointed out the tower. LOL

I find it funny how Squalls voice sounds deeper and older than some of the other characters even tho squall is younger than the rest. Squall and Vann are the youngest of the bunch yet squall sounds older, his voice doesn’t suit him.
There's a lot of teenagers out there with deep voices, him having one isn't that surprising. plus it would look and sound weird for Squall to have a light voice considering his personality.

He's forced to act like a grown man, when he's just 17. That's why, I think, this voice fits him well.
And that scar that Squall has on his face from fighting Seifer should have been healed that was a 1999 fight. Lol And Squall should look a bit older and mature.
If they had time to do to make Squall & other FF characters for this game, then why can't they to do a Final Fantasy 8 remake, instead of remastered???
If you look closely all the characters are low textured, the faces just look pretty but the actual design that went into them wasn’t a long time, that’s why Noctis’ face looks so much more detailed than everyone else’s. This game from a game development perspective is peanuts compared to making a main game

Zidane is younger than Squall. Also, he's 17. 17 year olds can have deep voices, they've already mostly gone through puberty.

It’s said that they get pulled into dissidia during the timelines of their game. So squall got pulled in during FF8, most likely around disk 2 or 3.
