I lost it at 50 seconds. One of my uncles was at Bastogne. He eventually made it to Hitler's Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgarten and smoked Adolf's cigars. Another was on Iwo Jima. He was lucky to get home alive. They both made it home, built lives and retired well. To see this old soldier in contrast to the younger one shows us that Americans will always rise to meet the threat to our Liberty, be that threat on foreign shores or in our own White House...

My late wife's father( 101st Airborne) was at Bastogne too. He was one of the Battled Bastards of Bastogne. He made it home and passed away in 1966! He was a glider paratrooper. I have his glider wings!!!

I'm a white privileged drafted by LBJ disabled Republic of Vietnam combat veteran. My son-in-law serves in the Army as a Major doing all kinds of stuff. The USA government closed the Vicenza, Italy military hospital under McCain and Obama. My little rug rats couldn't get adequate medical care. When they got back to Fort Leavenworth, the hospital was closed. Be safe. Eaglegards...

I'm a 27 years USAF Security Forces Retiree, though Army trained, and proud and honored to have served. As I reflect those years, it was always the people that made the difference and all worthwhile.
This salute, at least to me, was most tender-heartedly presented and I appreciate and thank those who made it possible and who cared enough to do it.
I have a Grandson, who is an US Army SFC in Missiles and a Great Grandson who is a US Army Combat Engineer. They are carrying the flag, I passed some years ago.

Ray, I thank you and all that put their lives on the line for what they believed were worthy causes and I would like to see more of my tax money go to providing the very best of care to those who returned from this country's many wars injured either physically or mentally. But I believe that this country is guilty of provoking far too many wars. Certainly the war in Iraq has been proven to be unjustified and its citizens as well as our military men and women have paid high prices for our government's rash actions.I believe strongly that it is profit (obscene profit) for the very few of society's elite which is motivating our many and constant military invasions into other countries. War is a terrible, terrible thing which should be undertaken only when all else has failed and not for oil or to sustain our huge military industrial complex. And while I'm glad to have benefited by being born in this nation, let's be honest, this country has not provided for all its citizens equally. We have a history which continues to this day of favoring some at the expense of others.

I can hardly see to write this. My eyes are full of tears! Kudo to your ad man, without a doubt! So touching, so true. Only one thing bother's me... how could that uniform still fit grandpa after all these years??? I see how that family eats! ;-)

Outstanding! As a veteran myself and the son of a veteran, this video really hits home. Perfect tribute to the respect of the freedoms we all enjoy as Americans. We must never forget or take for granted those who have served and died for this country.

I loved it. Every time I see things like this it makes me cry. I still can't get over me coming home and so many of my friends didn't.
God Bless America. Be strong and stand tall..

When a military man comes home from deployment only immediate family knows how far he traveled and regs don't apply on you own front walk. A great salute, not meant to be a commercial as such.

Wonderful! This commercial should be tucked away for release at the Super Bowl for the Nation and the world to see.
