I think a sunrise sunset cycle wouldn't just be about intensity and spectrum but more of a moving like. In the morning during sunrise the plant is getting sunlight from the east at mid morning its getting light from the east and above and then sunset no light from the east but now sun from the west

the leaves of outdoor plants turn to the east in the am and to the west...

indirect light is all this means . if anything the sun naturally never goes straight down , yet everyone uses their light this way and light never reaches all the nodes . i have tried 3 lights in different angles to replicate the time of day and had a strain that usually gives 2-4 oz a plant , actually give me 12 1/2 oz during this test . 25 degree angles left and right side and top center level . plants focus on light intensity on different parts of the plant in different times of the day stretching specific nodes faster . and this plant only had LST. and no topping .... I mean the plant itself was a beast , but i did have 3 times the light running . ....More testing on time of day lighting angles should be done at normal capacity . I really think " if done correctly " you could double your yield with the same amount of electricity .

So with 3x the light you got 3x the yield. Hmmm

@@timothykappel198 My second test was the same with just 2 lights . Also keep in mind that the plant will need more food and co2 when doing it , and in a super healthy environment . I used a strawberry pie auto from fast buds at 20 hrs on and 4 off for the light in both tests .

So what I heard is. No benefit unless you have the sun in your tent , or grow room. 🤔 Yes ?

That's good to know.... so basically yes, it DOES matter.
HOWEVER, to 99% of us, no, it will not make a difference.
It's like 60 FPS vs 120 FPS. They both work great, much better than 30 FPS (lookin at you fluorescent bulbs), but they all achieve near the same function.

I can definitely tell the difference between 60 and 120fps night and day

@SpacedOutCluez Right, as can everyone... I hope 🤣 but my point is they all achieve the same thing.
If you want to upgrade you can, but you and I can both play the same game on a 60 FPS or a 120 FPS and get the same footage.
One just makes it slightly more enjoyable to be a part of, than the other! But you ABSOLUTELY can tell a night/day difference.
