In Toronto we have our equivalent to Restaurant Week as Winterlicious and Summerlicious. The fixed price menus cost around half NYC RW. The menus are completely different from the restaurant's normal menu. At the set prices you can't expect much. I've never attended it because it is a hit or miss and not a true intro to each restaurant. I like the format of NYC RW better because it is a nice more affordable intro to those NYC restaurants.
Nice! Yeah, New York Restaurant Week can be good, but you also have to be careful, because sometimes restaurants really alter the dishes for the Restaurant Week menu.
@@Jamesnu Cellini on 54th between park and 5th and Nerai on the same block. Chez Josephine in Hell’s Kitchen. Fig and Olive near St. Patrick’s Cathedral. My absolute favorite is Il Gattopardo on W. 54th at the Rockefeller townhouse. If you can get a seat on the porch on a lovely evening, it is magical! ✨
@@shawnmh91 I really appreciate the recommendations! Thank you! I've heard of some of those places and I definitely have to check them out in the future.
I wish! It's actually a Seiko SKX009 Diver's watch, which I still really like, but one of my dream watches is a Rolex Pepsi GMT, but it will probably be awhile before I can afford one of those. Haha!
I was in Chicago right before Covid hit Great city the pizza & hot dogs I’m from NYC (actually Jersey City) I know NY & the subway like the back of my hand but live upstate now do miss NY I try to get down for visits when I can
Wow! If the next cheesecake I eat is not assembled like a giant slice of Swiss cheese with a little mouse friend to accompany it, I will riot.
Indeed! Vestry's cheesecake really raises the bar!
Let’s wreck havoc! We wont tolerate mundane cheesecakes no more. It’s literally called a CHEESEcake why not make it look like a cheese. C’mon now!! 😤
@@Vagabondgone That's the spirit!
That mouse cheesecake was the most playful presentation I've witnessed at a mega posh restaurant. That absolutely put Vestry on my bucket list
Yeah, the presentation was great, but it was also delicious!
I was already going to Vestry, now I’m extra pumped for it 1 month away I can’t wait. I’m also going to rezdora thanks James.
That's awesome! I hope you enjoy both places! Thanks for watching!
Very whimsical presentation of the menu items from the butter to the mouse.
Absolutely! I really appreciated how the restaurant presented their food.

Love your reviews & your knowledge of food.
Thank you! I try my best!
I cannot get over that cheesecake! 🧀 🐁 That was the cutest food dish I have ever seen.
I know what you mean. It's very unique!
@@Jamesnu I have a few of my favorite NYC restaurants to recommend if you are interested!
@@shawnmh91 I'm always up for any recommendations.

That was a really amazing meal, especially the dessert. A good book to read after this meal is "Who Moved My Cheese?" 🙂
Haha! That is indeed a great book pairing!
The presentation of the dishes looked amazing especially the homemade cheese cake with the mouse - very impressive!
Absolutely! That dessert was simply unforgettable!
you are taking advantage of every single restaurant week :D I love that!
For sure! There are some really great deals for Restaurant Week and I don't want to pass any of them up.
So elegant!
Absolutely! From the food to the décor, Vestry is a very elegant establishment.
A smoothly cut video. I want to go!
Thanks! It really is a great restaurant, especially if you're into seafood!
@@Jamesnu you made it appealing to venture into the city
@@NoahEats Thanks! I always try to make things appear at their best!
Is that a GMT Pepsi on your wrist? Might need to see that watch collection 👀

You’re from Chicago?
Thank you! Yep, I've lived most of my life in Chicago and its suburbs, but have spent the last almost 3 years living in NYC.
