Since 2010 ITV's Downton Abbey has delighted the nation with its upstairs, downstairs stories of love, loss and family. As masters and servants carry on while the country prepares for the First World War the grand country house sees its fair share of family conflagrations while below stairs the staff have their own troubles.
Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern lead the cast which includes Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Brendan Coyle, Michelle Dockery, Joanne Froggatt, Phyllis Logan, Sophie McShera, Maggie Smith, Penelope Wilton and Rob James-Collier.

These lovely actresses were so wonderful in their respective parts. THANK YOU FOR THIS INTERVIEW.
Both play pivotal characters that made for great watching. I liked that they are middle age having romantic partners. Of course too, the Bates storyline. It just brought a realism to the show. So many shows today have 12 year old kiddies playing twenty something falling in love, like coming of age is the only truly exciting thing happening in the life and nothing evolves to the from past generations, leaving wide gaps of unsung characters. But, Downton Abbey introduced a range of age groups, felt more like a family.

The background noise ,difficult to hear the 2 excellent actrices .ADORE the Series. First Viewing 2 months ago .Watch parts of it everyday , reminds me so much of my childhood and all the English heirlooms inherited ; that are scattered among my son and daughter. Take on new sentiments as my ancestors used them as shown in the many details.
Wonderful, talented amazing actresses. And just lovely women.
