Thanks to yammieboy for thsi advise, that I mixed up her name on the old description.
To tell the story about her, I had to merge two versions of the song: Maid of Orleans.
You hear the the original by OMD and one of the best covers by Atrocity.
I hope you like it, so please leave a comment and rate the video.
I`m sorry about the bad quality, I`ll replace the video with the same in better quality, if I can convert the movie from DVD in a better way.

Very touching tribute to Joan of Arc.
I had the honor of Meeting Leelee Sobieski (Jeanne) during the making of the movie Deep Impact also met Elijah Wood,. Leelee is a lovely wowan, also very down to earth, Not like most celebrities. she also went to Jeanne D'arc home at Domremy after shooting this movie. Jeannes actual birth house still stands there next to a small church. Leelee is now Married and has 2 children. She retired as an actress to focus more on her family.

It was the beloved song of my grandma🥺she died two weeks ago and this song was played at her funeral... I never can hear this without crying and think about her😔God bless and protect her in heaven😞

Music does that, It lifts the saddness & solomness during the funeral cermony at the end. My Gran Janie asked that happy hymns be sung and played during her funeral: before she passed. Andy mc Cluskey performed with Karl Bartos formerly of Kraftwerkin Karl's group "Electronic Music." The album was "Esperanto" The were on the Jules Holland show I think, recently !They were interviewed. They had a thirty something gap in their career

I went to see omd a couple of weeks ago and they were fantastic, they played this song, hull bonus arena.
Really love this song. Joan is the a saint above all saints. A truly inspirational lady. This song always brings a tear to my eyes, as I have so so much respect for a really wonderful person. Would loved to have known her.
Jehanne la Pucelle (she never used that particular family name D'Arc) was nearly forgotten for nearly 490 years after her death,
becoming a Roman Catholic saint in 1920 ,
590 years after her death in Rouen , which is fairly recent history.... do you why... ?

In 1879, the Roman Catholic Church of Paris requested a petition for Sainthood for the Maid of Orléans ( her new name then, about 1840 ).
After the turmoil in France and especially in Paris after the
Franco-German War of 1870/71, the Paris Commune, the Communards and the Bloody Week, France had to find a hero, a saint, a model to
bring back the national unity of the country .
Since about 1860, the Maid of Orléans, had become fairly quickly a religious model,
a very young, poor peasant ''girl'' without any education, have visions with various saints and St Michael , the Archangel , had saved the country before, from a nasty aggressor from abroad.
She had to be the one.
The Pope at that time was not to eager/committed with that Church of Paris application, however with the event of the WW1, Jehanne application was accelerated.
The Sainthood process is an enigmatic story by itself.
( See Jules Quicherat, Charles Féguy and minister Fabre the role they played to bring back the memory of Maid of Orléans to France and the world.

I love the video where she demands to be put on her horse then leads the charge against the castle. You can see by the looks on her mens' faces that they'd follow her to the gates of hell. Truly an inspired and inspiring leader.

I like Your child. My daughter loves Roger Waters, listens to Pink Floyd, she have electric guitar, she likes to play - but hard rock. She is 22 y.o. - I am happy, she tries to UNDESTAND the music. It`s a good idea to have the instrument... it helps to understand the music.

She at least now has an eternal home with the angels of heavens. Burning was a pretty high price for defending her country. Don't know why but this video makes me weep every time I watch it. I really feel for this very young girl who had great courage to rally her countryman. The real sad part is that just a few years later she re-tried again and found innocent, And the first trial was declaired a miss trial!.
