I have nothing against floor jensen or anette olson , both of them are excellent vocalists in there own ways , but what tarja puts on the table ,it simply equivalents the soul of the nightwish . Her voice and singing skills are just so good ❤❤❤. She's truly a soprano.

Yeah, I think your right about Nightwish. Some things are just magical and can only come together at just the right point in time. For example, look at Guns and Roses. They were great back in the day. Then they split up. Now of course they are back together, but it just isn't the same. There are magical moments in time when all the right forces align and things come together. And then those moments pass. I think that's definitely the case with Nightwish. So, we will never see the real Nightwish again. However, every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end. So, I could possibly see Tarja and Marco working together at some point in the future. In fact, just a few years ago, they did a christmas performance together. Who knows? Maybe the 2 of them could perhaps do something like this again. Tarja has a pretty good band she tours with. Perhaps it's not out of the realm of possibility she could have a special guest join her for a song or 2 at one of her shows. I think the fans would love it.
Marco's and Tarja's version can't be toped.

Nightwish was the first band I saw live, back 20 years ago. Didn't knew them at all till then, my friend just took me with her. Tarjas voice blew me away. I am stunned till this very day and will most probably never stop loving her voice.

Guys that's same as me but being 29-30 is nothing. :) We are still young.
We know Tarja is a great singer already, but Marko was the real surprise package for most on this awesome cover version - very few guys can compete with Tarja when it comes to those high notes - it was like he was pushing her to go higher at the end there - truly spectacular vocals from both of them
They are together a truly package in many songs. I really miss them a lots....

She’s performed with Marko separately a couple of times within the last few years, but because of how bad the fallout was between her and Tuomas was, a full reunite ain’t gonna happen, sadly. He doesn’t even credit her in the descriptions of most of the videos but does the rest of the band.
I'm a Maiden&Metallica era fan, but I think Nightwish together with angelic lyric soprano of Tarja was one of the best bands at the time. Always made me goosebumps, even in 2024.

Our high school years were Maiden, Metallica, Priest, AC/DC etc etc etc. While most of us grew up and started families and careers we never stopped listening to our music. No nightwish wouldn't be the same. But maybe not worse... Let the time show us. The band have had 3 diffrent singers (Tarja, Anette and Floor) they are diffrent, but I think that all 3 are good in their own ways. Marko were the 2. bass player in the band. So who knows what the next will bring?

I remember being an angry, angsty teenager in search for meaning and purpose when my sister lent the "Bless the Child" album. Listening to Nightwish helped me appreciate the beauty of genuine art, it suffused me with a sense of the sublime which I couldn't find in the religion I'd been brought up in, and inspired me to explore the world of literature. I'm a better person thanks to this awesome band.
I think I couldn't have said it better myself... Oh, the nostalgia😅I was lucky to see both Tarja (in a classical concert) and NW, exactly on the End of An Era Tour, I was 18. ..I still know every song by heart, since I wrote everything down "searching for meaning"...
