I hope we won't get to see a human Mordekaiser. It's this thing with, as long as we don't see him, he can be as grand, imposing and dominating as we imagine him to see. But as soon as you actually make an image of him, we're bound to be disappointed as nothing could measure up to our expectations. So I hope they keep Sahn Uzal (his name when he was human) a mythical figure that we only hear terribles tales off but never actually get to see.

Not a league player and only an arcane watcher, but I watched the black rose vid the day before the bite marks cinematic dropped, and felt like the DiCaprio meme every time a character popped up on screen. Knowing lore made watching the cinematic a genuinely pleasant experience

@@thewarriorreturns9179 well you also gotta keep in mind that they are obviously way younger in the cinematic than they are in the current game, i’ve also read somewhere that Trundle’s ice club in the cinematic wasn’t actually “True ice” but it only had shards of it in the club which could be a reason for his club getting “cut” through in the first place and he could’ve gotten a “real” true ice weapon from Lissandra after the fight, and the same with Darius getting his axe version he has from the game which is significantly bigger than the one he previously had.
You missed something about the gold when Katarina kills her target. Beforehand you can see that the noxian noble is wearing some kind of golden necklace, this just shows that she slit his throat, without showing blood on the screen, but rather showing the necklace pieces scattered all around.

Mel frequently put gold lines under her eyes pretty frequently. Especially in season 1 for her counselor outfit, well before she interacted with LeBlanc
My interpretation of the Mel scene is that this is some sort of mental test, probably from LeBlanc, to see if she is “strong enough” to enter Noxus. Leblanc has shown herself capable of creating lifelike illusions, and while it seemed like she needed a catalyst for those illusions in Arcane, it wouldn’t surprise me if her power was stronger in Noxus. I also don’t think the idea that this is a vision of the future holds up, because of the falling stones and head we see later. I could be wrong though, especially if we take into account LeBlanc basically brushing off Vladimir’s suggestion of focusing on Mel. It also could be that the rest of the vision is a potential future, while the stones stuff was something else. That’s just my theory, tho!

I have by Chance found necrit and even If i have quit League 2-3 yes ago, i still come Back cause lore and League universe interest me. Just Ranking against the Same 5 Champs each season and sucking too much to Hit high Ranks Made me quit. Katarina fighting Elise, but focusing on her target is PEAK Katarina gameplay. How many times has a Katarina player faked trying to kill a target, but then instantly jump the support player and 1 shot them LOL. She even did the bread and butter Katarina fake out, W- Drop dagger, reposition, E- Dash to dagger, R- Ult, snags the kill. Et all, I LOVE how Fortiche takes all of this into consideration. They managed to translate the Katarina playstyle of misdirection perfectly. Also, the gold coming out is a reference to her old passive that gave her extra gold on a champion kill

well, we know from lore that demons feed on their respective domain( Tahm on greed, Eve on lust/desire and Fiddle on fear) and are not really bound geographically, so it kinda expected that Raum is just goes around gathering secrets all the time
In the existing lore Singed made chemical weapons for Noxus that were used in Ionia. In the very end of arcane he made a deal with Noxus to provide such weapons, so the timelines match pefectly. If he was commissioned by Noxus after the invasion, the timeline would be messed up.

5:26 yes Mel's eyes mimic leblanc, but I think it's important to note that this is not entirely new! Throughout the entire show, she's had the gold lines under her eyes (as well as freckles :D ). In scenes without make-up, notably in the pit with 'Kino', the gold on her face is all gone, so it wasn't the permanent gold magic-y stuff she has now. Additionally- the make-up is gone, but the magic-body-armour-stuff is still there. AND! when Mel first transforms into her gold version, the line is on her chin, not her lip. So maybe it's more make-up, she can choose where the gold lines are and like move them about her body, or it's an animation error lmao. There's something about trying to make your own destiny, but it's already pre-written for you by others and inescapable about all this to me. (Mel making her make-up mimic leblanc before knowing who that even is)
Mel does have the gold under her eyes thought ALL of arcane season 1 & 2, it's literally part of her character design. it's only in that last scene of her heading to Noxus that the gold under the eye is not present because she has an entirely new makeup look for her voyage. The gold on her lip in that scene you referenced was a tribute to her mother so we likely won't see that detail again.

I think that the symbol at the end might be tied to Atakhan, since he is obviously going to become a part of summoners rift and since the black rose was imprisoning him to this moment until they freed him - so now hes on summoners rift.
That actually makes sense. While people were thinking it looked like Nafiri dagger, I saw the demon tree instead and was thinking Fiddle/Evelynn (perhaps i got their lore wrong), but it being a Atakhan makes so much sense and appropriate reaction from Vlad.
Considering all this lore is in the past, this might be the lore of how LeBlanc and Vladimir enslave Atakhan. Althought the Black Rose is so old they might have to retcon it to happen in a more modern timeline

Just a reminder that this could be the time period where the Black rose still have Tybaulk(Tibbers), its most likely them refering to the Ravenbloom Conservatory and experimenting on Annies mother. Another theory is also Atakhan, or maybe they are moving towards using blood magic to finally revive Sion. Personally, I just want so see Draven say his iconic "Welcome to the League of Draven" before getting his ass handed to him by Riven(If they connect the previous "Awaken" cinematic to arcane.)
I wonder if every season cinematic is now exclusively made by Fortiche and no longer be shopped around to another studios. It make sense from Riot perspective because not only Fortiche make excellent animation but it also the perfect way to keep the hype for their future shows because these season cinematics always has tons of views. But like all of black roses' plans we all know how it ended: Kayn stole Rhaast from Noxus, Valmar and Kai got to Varus before the noxian armies could and Xolaani is... Uh... I feel like Mel's vision is supposed to be more figurative than something that will literally happen, with the pillars and statue head representing The Black Rose/The Immortal Bastion throwing everything they have to stop her, and also perhaps her using what they throw at her to break through.
It makes a lot of sense for the next show to be Noxus: the audience is familiar with Mel and enjoys her character. She will be our eyes into this land we’ve heard about while searching for the Black Rose and rebuilding her house. I can guess that maybe Darius and Katarina will be her allies in this struggle. Especially now that Leblanc and Vladimir knows she’s here.

My only problem with the beginning Mel theory is that in Arcane they hint heavily that Mel's magic comes from whoever her real father is. I think its more just so about the fact that they want power, mel has power and ambessa wont let them control her

My theory is that the ball Katarina attended was actually a setup by the Black Rose to test the abilities of those who got their invitation. That would explain why instead of blood the target of Katarina's assassination bleeds gold.

There's some cards in LoR that references the noxians using ionian ruins as ammo for their trebuchets and such. Quite a commentary of using parts of your past against you, specially coming at a Medarda

First of all, LeBlanc literally drew a spider (Elise) on top of the dagger (Katarina), which is graphically very obvious - not a web. Second, the ending is a general symbol for the Darkin (Google Darkin icon). Lastly, I don’t think it was a Minotaur, rather a ram (which you also see in Summoner’s rift). And by which, in LoR the ram is a symbol for Ornn. Almost looks like his card with Ashe standing in front.
I feel like Mel was fighting some real mental attack from Leblanc, like that "noxtora" thing might have some defensive Black Rose magical warding for Leblanc to monitor the area.

I think that the assassination by Katarina was anticipated by the black rose, thus indicating why Leblanc drew her symbol before she had done anything, the eye imagery of her watching the dance floor through its occulus prior to the fighting, plus all the web imagery around the dancd floor with its octagonal shape like a spiders web and being covered in beading alluding to silk. I think the fact that we never are shown Katarina excaping or safe implies she was captured by the Black Rose. I believe Leblanc wants to bond Katarina with Nefiri because the assassination was a trap/test. If Katarina died attempting it then it is one more enemy eliminated but because she succeeded the black rose want to use her incredible skills paired with Darkin magic as an asset so they captured her.

I think Mel holds a lot of significance because she was chosen of the wolf (aka Death) and the black rose is meant to stop Mordekaiser, the King of Death. I’m not sure how to connect the dots here but I believe Mel could somehow deal with Mordekaisers manipulation of the Death Realm.
I would love to know your guess for what timeline we are in after Arcane now. My guess is it is around 987-989 around the end of invasion or shortly after it while Darius is still in Freljord for the Iron but Swain hasnt taken over yet and that's why we see the old banners still and why swain uses a private assasin against the black rose and why Darius is younger ofc. It is also my guess rather, that the invasion already happened, because we saw Swain's demon in Arcane and I rather believe that he already got it (could be different tho of course). But well, all speculations of course, but I'd love to hear other thoughts on the point in the timeline
I believe the reason why Trolls follow other Trolls with a crown is because crowns are fancy, and Trolls like taking fancy things. So if a Troll wears a crown, they are saying "c'mon, take it from me" and if they still have it(or took it from the previous owner) after an altercation, it means they are a strong Troll
As I see it, Leblanc at the time of imprisoning Ambessa what she took from her was her memories and experiences (she could transform into her already), then she saw Warwick and Singed and the potential in both as a weapon and as a scientist, so transforming into Ambessa she will negotiate with Singed the invasion of Ionia, location where Nafiri is and there try to dominate it as they tried with Warwick, because what is better than a quemtec beast, a darkin beast (the existence of this one would have been told to her by Vladimir) and that explains the dagger with an eye at the end.

in the dance battle between Elise and Katrina. When the target started to move, Kate played her future steps. She planted her blade and baited Elise into a fighting position "Target - Blade - Elise - Kat" So when she jumped to her blade and she's almost beside the target, Elise noticed that and started throwing the white webs to immobilize Kat instead of hand-to-hand-to-spider-legs fighting. That fight is worthy of "LOOK AT THE MOVES" shoutout.

Have you considered Mel to be similar to Lamb, and Ambessa staying the Wolf ? They're always with each others, and from what you said about Noxus, they don't consider the Lamb. What Ambessa could have stolen may be a relic of the gray man, or something around him, making both Ambessa and Mel something like their avatar in the physical world. That could also explain later how we can have Ambessa in league, because you're not supposed to kill death itself. About the final threat, could that be a watcher instead ? They're going to Freljord, so maybe they might wake one up.
Necrit, if you check 20:01, the dude has a necklace with golden flakes, little round circles, which gets shown again scattered in the air on 20:47 when Katarina slices his throat, completing her assassination. When she dealt the last blow to his throat, the necklace was also shattered. A less gorier way to show that she took the throat. Maybe?
I think this cinematic might also tease that we'll see a bit of Shurima in future. I mean there are a few Shuriman related tid bits mentioned/shown here and there, and Noxus does have Shuriman cities and outposts under it's banner.
at 26:08 if you look at the center of the picture, it does kind of look like a stylized mordekaiser sitting on a throne. all the circles are circling into it so its kind of like saying thats the inevitable catastrophe they all lead to. pretty on point for leblanc.
The In lore reason of why Darius didnt get instakilled by the True ice is that The Blood in his Balls runs hotter than a furnace and it has melted the True Ice in his veins trying to kill him.

I think Elise isn't utilizing her web/cocoon ability, at 14:22, instead I think she's using her Neurotoxin (Q) humanoid form ability from her LoL ability set as the in-game model leans forward and spits. Some additional insights: The Shot at 11:36 is foreshadowing Elise (since the angle is like how a spider would descend from something), maybe even her POV at that time that's why she knows Katarina is at the party Katarina also throws one of her big daggers in the air before throwing smaller ones (to kill the spiderlings) and then catch it, like one of her skills in LoL Mel shooting out her gold powers at 21:50 is her using one of her skills (it was confirmed in one of League's dev update videos), mainly that she could reflect spells back at their enemy. Also, she is already confirmed to be a champion (also in the dev update) Those random parts of the building being thrown at Mel at 22:03 might be a reference to "The Prefect", another child mage from LoR (you can see in her art that she could telekinesis stuff, particularly building rubble) Also... The Dev Diary stated that Mordekaiser is the next Exalted skin so he is 100% getting in the next cinematic and possibly we will see Human Mordekaiser

You missed something about the gold when Katarina kills her target. Beforehand you can see that the noxian noble is wearing some kind of golden necklace, this just shows that she slit his throat, without showing blood on the screen, but rather showing the necklace pieces scattered all around.

My interpretation of the Mel scene is that this is some sort of mental test, probably from LeBlanc, to see if she is “strong enough” to enter Noxus. Leblanc has shown herself capable of creating lifelike illusions, and while it seemed like she needed a catalyst for those illusions in Arcane, it wouldn’t surprise me if her power was stronger in Noxus. I also don’t think the idea that this is a vision of the future holds up, because of the falling stones and head we see later. I could be wrong though, especially if we take into account LeBlanc basically brushing off Vladimir’s suggestion of focusing on Mel. It also could be that the rest of the vision is a potential future, while the stones stuff was something else. That’s just my theory, tho!

well, we know from lore that demons feed on their respective domain( Tahm on greed, Eve on lust/desire and Fiddle on fear) and are not really bound geographically, so it kinda expected that Raum is just goes around gathering secrets all the time
In the existing lore Singed made chemical weapons for Noxus that were used in Ionia.
In the very end of arcane he made a deal with Noxus to provide such weapons, so the timelines match pefectly.
If he was commissioned by Noxus after the invasion, the timeline would be messed up.

Throughout the entire show, she's had the gold lines under her eyes (as well as freckles :D ). In scenes without make-up, notably in the pit with 'Kino', the gold on her face is all gone, so it wasn't the permanent gold magic-y stuff she has now. Additionally- the make-up is gone, but the magic-body-armour-stuff is still there.
AND! when Mel first transforms into her gold version, the line is on her chin, not her lip. So maybe it's more make-up, she can choose where the gold lines are and like move them about her body, or it's an animation error lmao.
There's something about trying to make your own destiny, but it's already pre-written for you by others and inescapable about all this to me. (Mel making her make-up mimic leblanc before knowing who that even is)
Mel does have the gold under her eyes thought ALL of arcane season 1 & 2, it's literally part of her character design. it's only in that last scene of her heading to Noxus that the gold under the eye is not present because she has an entirely new makeup look for her voyage. The gold on her lip in that scene you referenced was a tribute to her mother so we likely won't see that detail again.

And Ionia has a handful of them trapped, like Varus, Xolaani and the Darkin Fan. But like all of black roses' plans we all know how it ended: Kayn stole Rhaast from Noxus, Valmar and Kai got to Varus before the noxian armies could and Xolaani is... Uh... I feel like Mel's vision is supposed to be more figurative than something that will literally happen, with the pillars and statue head representing The Black Rose/The Immortal Bastion throwing everything they have to stop her, and also perhaps her using what they throw at her to break through.
It makes a lot of sense for the next show to be Noxus: the audience is familiar with Mel and enjoys her character. She will be our eyes into this land we’ve heard about while searching for the Black Rose and rebuilding her house. I can guess that maybe Darius and Katarina will be her allies in this struggle. Especially now that Leblanc and Vladimir knows she’s here.

My only problem with the beginning Mel theory is that in Arcane they hint heavily that Mel's magic comes from whoever her real father is.

My theory is that the ball Katarina attended was actually a setup by the Black Rose to test the abilities of those who got their invitation. That would explain why instead of blood the target of Katarina's assassination bleeds gold.
ive seen so many people complaining that darius and vladimir dont look "strong" enough and they got "twinkified" and im just looking at the hulking figure of darius like.... twinkified? wokeafied? brother his arm is the size of my torso. and my god the people mad that leblanc isnt a sexy bondage lingerie victoria secret model, and instead now looks like shes more than just eye candy, that she looks powerful and influential, is disheartening... i really loved how they made her look because i was honestly worried because of how she is in game. Elise is perfect to me. koh the face stealer vibes. amazing for her. i feel like katarina looks a lot like caitlin which is a lil disappointing, but i love her mask.
Edit: with vladamir too, do people not remember that he is SUPPOSED to be a sexy guy? like he lures in his prey and charms them to take their blood? did they forget the splash art where he is literally whisking a woman away in a ball to prey on her? his looks had nothing do do with that at ALL? i doubt the people mad that hes hot and refined would complain about characters like ahri and evelynn being made sexy and such, because ladies can be eye candy as a power, but the men must be big muscle powerhouses.

That stuff with Mel and the debri being thrown at her is probably a reference to the methods of siege that Noxus uses. There's some cards in LoR that references the noxians using ionian ruins as ammo for their trebuchets and such.

2- Trundle is not really known for being powerful fighter bcuz he gets is king position later by trickery
3- Darius is the future might of Noxus, he is probably the strongest human fighter without any special/magical technique.
4- Darius axe is not made out of normal steal (I dont remember the name)
5- I don't remember ture-ice being a strong material from anywhere in the lore. But the lore did said it is really cold, never melt and non iceborn can't touch it etc

First of all, LeBlanc literally drew a spider (Elise) on top of the dagger (Katarina), which is graphically very obvious - not a web.
Second, the ending is a general symbol for the Darkin (Google Darkin icon).
Lastly, I don’t think it was a Minotaur, rather a ram (which you also see in Summoner’s rift). And by which, in LoR the ram is a symbol for Ornn. Almost looks like his card with Ashe standing in front.

I think that the assassination by Katarina was anticipated by the black rose, thus indicating why Leblanc drew her symbol before she had done anything, the eye imagery of her watching the dance floor through its occulus prior to the fighting, plus all the web imagery around the dancd floor with its octagonal shape like a spiders web and being covered in beading alluding to silk. I think the fact that we never are shown Katarina excaping or safe implies she was captured by the Black Rose. I believe Leblanc wants to bond Katarina with Nefiri because the assassination was a trap/test. If Katarina died attempting it then it is one more enemy eliminated but because she succeeded the black rose want to use her incredible skills paired with Darkin magic as an asset so they captured her.

I think Mel holds a lot of significance because she was chosen of the wolf (aka Death) and the black rose is meant to stop Mordekaiser, the King of Death. I’m not sure how to connect the dots here but I believe Mel could somehow deal with Mordekaisers manipulation of the Death Realm.
I would love to know your guess for what timeline we are in after Arcane now. My guess is it is around 987-989 around the end of invasion or shortly after it while Darius is still in Freljord for the Iron but Swain hasnt taken over yet and that's why we see the old banners still and why swain uses a private assasin against the black rose and why Darius is younger ofc. It is also my guess rather, that the invasion already happened, because we saw Swain's demon in Arcane and I rather believe that he already got it (could be different tho of course). But well, all speculations of course, but I'd love to hear other thoughts on the point in the timeline
I believe the reason why Trolls follow other Trolls with a crown is because crowns are fancy, and Trolls like taking fancy things. So if a Troll wears a crown, they are saying "c'mon, take it from me" and if they still have it(or took it from the previous owner) after an altercation, it means they are a strong Troll
As I see it, Leblanc at the time of imprisoning Ambessa what she took from her was her memories and experiences (she could transform into her already), then she saw Warwick and Singed and the potential in both as a weapon and as a scientist, so transforming into Ambessa she will negotiate with Singed the invasion of Ionia, location where Nafiri is and there try to dominate it as they tried with Warwick, because what is better than a quemtec beast, a darkin beast (the existence of this one would have been told to her by Vladimir) and that explains the dagger with an eye at the end.

in the dance battle between Elise and Katrina. When the target started to move, Kate played her future steps.
She planted her blade and baited Elise into a fighting position "Target - Blade - Elise - Kat"
So when she jumped to her blade and she's almost beside the target, Elise noticed that and started throwing the white webs to immobilize Kat instead of hand-to-hand-to-spider-legs fighting.
That fight is worthy of "LOOK AT THE MOVES" shoutout.
I absolutely love these videos, I hope you keep making them and I hope Riot keeps giving you reasons to make them. Also, I really hope they don't just relegate Draven to a comedic side character, or worse having little-to-no presence in the upcoming story telling.

My theory on the vision is that, mel breaking in the immortal bastion is she will see or reveal the dark secrets under the immortal bastion
Riven references and/or searching for Darkin weapons, the way Swain and the ravens keep getting referenced, Singed in Arcane, this all feels like they're going to loop the Noxus show directly into the Invasion of Ionia.
Have you considered Mel to be similar to Lamb, and Ambessa staying the Wolf ?
They're always with each others, and from what you said about Noxus, they don't consider the Lamb.
What Ambessa could have stolen may be a relic of the gray man, or something around him, making both Ambessa and Mel something like their avatar in the physical world.
That could also explain later how we can have Ambessa in league, because you're not supposed to kill death itself.
About the final threat, could that be a watcher instead ? They're going to Freljord, so maybe they might wake one up.
Necrit, if you check 20:01, the dude has a necklace with golden flakes, little round circles, which gets shown again scattered in the air on 20:47 when Katarina slices his throat, completing her assassination.
When she dealt the last blow to his throat, the necklace was also shattered. A less gorier way to show that she took the throat. Maybe?

I think this cinematic might also tease that we'll see a bit of Shurima in future. I mean there are a few Shuriman related tid bits mentioned/shown here and there, and Noxus does have Shuriman cities and outposts under it's banner.
at 26:08 if you look at the center of the picture, it does kind of look like a stylized mordekaiser sitting on a throne. all the circles are circling into it so its kind of like saying thats the inevitable catastrophe they all lead to. pretty on point for leblanc.
The In lore reason of why Darius didnt get instakilled by the True ice is that The Blood in his Balls runs hotter than a furnace and it has melted the True Ice in his veins trying to kill him.

I think Elise isn't utilizing her web/cocoon ability, at 14:22, instead I think she's using her Neurotoxin (Q) humanoid form ability from her LoL ability set as the in-game model leans forward and spits. Later on in the video when she's flinging around web strands, they don't really come from her face area.
20:48 Or maybe... idk it's the coins that the guy had around his neck (20:00) and it shows that Katarina successfully sliced her target's throat without the use of blood because we need to keep it PG.

Some additional insights:
The Shot at 11:36 is foreshadowing Elise (since the angle is like how a spider would descend from something), maybe even her POV at that time that's why she knows Katarina is at the party
Katarina also throws one of her big daggers in the air before throwing smaller ones (to kill the spiderlings) and then catch it, like one of her skills in LoL
Mel shooting out her gold powers at 21:50 is her using one of her skills (it was confirmed in one of League's dev update videos), mainly that she could reflect spells back at their enemy. Also, she is already confirmed to be a champion (also in the dev update)
Those random parts of the building being thrown at Mel at 22:03 might be a reference to "The Prefect", another child mage from LoR (you can see in her art that she could telekinesis stuff, particularly building rubble)
Also... Darkin... for the next Arcane chapter..... D'Arcane?!
