Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is a 2017 multiplayer tactical first-person shooter video game developed by Antimatter Games and Tripwire Interactive and co-published by Tripwire Interactive and Iceberg Interactive. It is a direct sequel to 2013's Rising Storm and is set during the Vietnam War.

Did this moron say the SKS sucked whilst also missing a bunch of shots with the mas 49?

Bruh Its all about shot placement, granted the aks have always been a little finicky compared to the m16 especially on full auto it feels like a bb gun, but sks compared to mas49 is the only difference is the Mas will 1 shot alot more, like a Vietcong m1 garand, but compared, I like the sks because it gets a bayonet which most mortals forget how to use (no hate no hate) 😂
A remaster of this would be good.

my favorite is RPD or M-60, these can lock down an area and even shoot through wall, perfect for camper bois and my usually in-game ping is 300 ms so these guns are a-go to weapon for me.

i like the rs2 total war part better tho with advancing weapons and everything, pretty sick tbh
sks is pretty good but the reload animation is SHORTER than the actual reload. You have to wait for the animation to completely end and THEN wait half a second. If you don't wait this half a second, the weapon will NOT be loaded
that is the main reason why I hate it so much, it's not as bad as I say it is but the amount of times i've died because of that animation makes me hate it
There's no reason to use it over the AK as it has identical stats. The small mag and slow reload make it inferior to the M1 Carbine during early war. The US steel helmet can also stop a 7.62x39 sometimes making the Mosin better for sniping.
The aiming system looks very realistic. You actually use the aim of the gun and do not rely on a dot, a circle, a line of laser, or a little cross.
IS good to see videos new from this game, i wish It wasnt abandoned.
The sks is an airsoft rifle theres literally no recoil and it shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger, also the sights are nice
The reload is fucked up tho. That's why I left the rifle at the first place
@@Col3Jaeger Yeah, it's so annoying...You load the SKS with a stripper clip and closes the bolt, the cartridges SHOULD be in the magazine and the rifle SHOULD have a round in the chamber and be ready to fire. But if you move to quickly after reloading, the SKS magically becomes un-loaded and you have to reload again...After the bolt closes, you have to wait 2 seconds before doing anything. Something is wrong with the SKS animation. It has been like this since the game was new. No other weapons have this problem. I have 2 real SKS rifles, I know how the rifle works, this doesn't make any sense...Reload animation is F-d up.

I consider the SKS... Ok. I love it, because I own one and RS2 is one of few games that doesn't immediately make it an SKS-D with 30 round AK mags. At medium range I think it's pretty good, having to double tap is a pain in the ass, the reload is a buggy mess. I didn't like having my AKM taken away from me in early/mid NLF side in campaigns at first... but the Type 56 is a blast of its own, in full auto at close range it's a hoot, and I like the spike bayonet on the standard one. Funny enough, I always go for the Combloc and WW2 stuff and never end up taking the MAS, despite how good of a gun it really is.

The sks used to be good till they nerfed it, now it does the same amount of damage as the ak. The m14 is also the same, semi auto rifles are pretty much inferior compared the other rifles, considering you can just use an m16 on semi auto and preform just as good as the m14. The m1 grease gun is an absolute beast, no recoil and does so much damage
i rarely use the bipod on my MGs, it gives you a better range of motion
the only meta weapons in this game is the SKS and the XM21 suppressed......

To be fair project reality has every conflict available.
Scroll the gunsight of the M60 all the way up and use the (slightly upper) center of the square, you get a 'holographic' sight.

What servers are good for this game for Aussies? I got this for my son to play with me (for like $4) and the megaserver is usually our only choice and it just feels dodgy as all hell

Crazy that people are still playing Project Reality, I played the very first version which was just BF2 with slightly modified weapons handling, must have been late 2005. It peaked in Australia around 2008-2010, every Saturday morning the server would reset to Korengal Valley which was arguably the best map in the mod.

@@mateusz_0 funny enough I checked it after I made this comment in the replies and a company called blue dot I think has bought the rights and are continuing development with all the original assets and stuff the guy who made the company was an original member of antimatter before they got closed down they have a discord and everything asking for play testers so the game is back online and being developed !

The SEA server shut down, which was hosted somewhere in Asia but had decent ping to Australia so it was generally the go to server in the last days of RS2. There is an Asia server that sometimes fills up, but I get like 180 ping to it from TAS.

double barrel, 30rd (or 20rd) XM1, and RP-46 (literally and automatic mosin, idgaf about the recoil, don't be a pussy it one taps) are the best guns in the game.
Coming from ro2 The gameplay on rs2 is Terrible, nobody never wants to balance. Just steamrolling mostly

the penetration was toned down in RS2. I thinkkkk bullets can only go through 1 wall. in RO2 i killed someone through 2 walls
