    I have the 2020 version, comes de-restricted here in Canada. I put the Akra titanium race exhaust, quick shifter, tune, and performance filter. I race a corvette on thanksgiving and he wouldn’t even loot at me after I gave him a thumbs up. He was not happy to lose lmao. Seriously amazing bike the CBR650R.

    • @_behindthewheel_

      Hey Mate, it's similar to Australia, we are on this license for 2 years before we can upgrade to full open license. I personally love the CBR650R. Had the Ninja 400 prior to this but got over the power pretty quickly so had to upgrade haha So in terms of what you are after, depends if you think you will get over the 500 pretty quickly in terms of power. The CBR650R in my opinion is one of the best looking mid range bikes out there, Still a lot of fun as well and I'm loving it every time I ride. Keen to hear what you end up getting! 😎

      Do not buy or even consider the 500’s. They don’t produce much more power the the Ninga 400’s however weigh considerably more and overpriced. The CBR650R wins this by a very long way.

      @@marcusgeorge1825 - What could be more overpriced and overly complicated than a 650R? Only reason anyone ever buys these neutered bikes is out of pure aesthetics. Awful lot to sacrifice in both performance and dollars just for an inline 4. Meanwhile practically every other manufacturer at least introduces both LAMS and full licence bikes for their midweight range. As such I don't see why the consumer should go above and beyond just because Honda's marketing team in Australia don't know how to do their jobs.

    • @marcusgeorge1825
      @marcusgeorge1825 2 года назад

      @@ThermicLight Huh? They are $2k cheaper than the R7 with loads more potential. Honda Australia didn’t bring in the full powered version for a good reason. Do you know why? Have you ridden any of them? What bike do you currently ride? I’m a returning rider who held a full unrestricted license some 25 years ago, plus an A grade racing license. So I’ve been around bikes for 45 years. The LAMS is great for inexperienced riders, however if you want something that not only produces more power when de-restricted than any other LAMS with all the bits you need.

    • @_behindthewheel_
      @_behindthewheel_  2 года назад +2

      They come de-restricted as mentioned in the video when landed in Australia, so for us here it's doubling the power essentially. Everywhere else it'd be that 90ish hp stock. Not sure why they do it as it's for people on what we call restricted licenses here, but we have to take this extra step to unlock it. Which in turn makes a massive difference when done! 👍

      Here in italy Honda dealers can sold two types of that engine: one with 48 hp for a person Who has a restricted kind of driving licence and then, for the drivers Who has a limitless power kind of licence (a licence that allows you to drive any motor cycle with any amount of power and yes, we in italy we loves to complicate our lives with useless and stupid laws 😂), so then you can buy and ride the cbr with 95hp. Luckily, the store manager had secured a 2022 one for me in red and didn’t pass on the increased price that they are today. He even threw in and fitted a tail tidy for free. Just waiting on the matching pillion seat cover in red to complete the look. In Melbourne, I can get everything you’ve done for only $650 as I’ve already got the K&N air filter and also have purchased the OEM 2 x 2 unrestricted factory trumpets.
