ahh sweet one of your 1st videos !no intentions to breed but i still love to know your inf o.....do you ever offer fresh fruit ?.if so how do you puree it ? i got a fresh mango
This is so helpful!! I’ve hatched babies accidentally but this is my first breeding season planned so I’m a little nervous haha thank you sm for both parts (:
My crested gecko is just like yours it looks exactly the same but it's a male😊😊😂❤ it looks so cute I want to eventually get a female and b breed the two
Females can retain sperm for a few months so I would assume they might be able to have a few clutches but I honestly don’t know for sure. I think it just depends
I would quarantine them for 60-90 days at least and then if they’re 2+ years old AND weigh 45+ grams they should be ready to breed. Checking female calcium sacks is also very important
details are good, emphasis or enthusiasm is good. one thing that will make a video get boring fast is when something is repeated 6 times. also, slow down a bit and try to speak a little more clearly.
Thank you for the advice! I’ve been trying to get a little better with every video. I feel like some of my most recent ones have gotten better because I’ve been more comfortable in front of the camera!
@@alltoyreviews3230 Are you keeping the geckos together full time? That could be why they’re losing weight. I leave my males with my females for a week and then separate until part way through the breeding season. If you wanted to give them a couple wax worms that would help as well (on top of the other bugs you give) I would use paper towel as a substrate to keep the wound as clean as possible. I wouldn’t do any dirt or anything. And I wouldn’t hold it until the tail is fully healed but that’s just my opinion
@@RiooGalaviz I’m pretty sure wax worms and dubia both have a higher fat percentage than crickets. Crickets are just cheap and readily available that’s why people use them.
Sometimes they’ll do that if they don’t grab the right spot. I would say it’s pretty common but not ideal. There shouldn’t be any injuries or cuts though. If there is, I would separate them and let the female heal for sure!
@@LXR_Rider Idk if you did or not, but I prep the females beforehand. I’ll put my males lay box and paper towel (and even a plant sometimes) in the females tank so she can smell him and it seems to make them more “ready”. I usually try to do this for a week before I put the male in. And right now isn’t normal breeding season so some females won’t have breeding in mind at all. Breeding season is typically March-September or so
And honestly it’s pretty normal for them to bite their sides, neck and tail. It’s usually the start of breeding. Obviously you wouldn’t prefer it but it’s normal. I wouldn’t stress unless your female is getting injured because she’s way bigger than your male
Great video always enjoy seeing new crested gecko breeding videos
Glad you like them!
I hope you guys enjoy and get some good info! Thanks again for watching!

I’ve only done it a couple of times. I just blend it up in the blender with their food. They really seem to like it

How many clutches of eggs can a female produce from a one time mating?

Add calcium to crickets as they are the fattiest in the feeder group, especially with breeders

What about male biting females at base of her tail? Not hard, but just holding on to her

No injuries or cuts mate, just seems like she's not interested, tried a few times and no eggs or observed pairings yet
Male is 42g and female is 56g
