I died at "they call him Scarecrow because your out standing in your field."
I had to pause the video for like a minute after that
I didn't catch that one.
Oof.
Same. But then he got to "totally legit psychologist" background and I had to applaud from my grave.
Ba dum tish!
You're*
Imposter Tulok in the intro: its a kenku
Real Tulok in the video: its a variant human.
It's always varient human
@@aterval8157 it's never lupus
When you called the whispers bard "a bard that had their fingers crossed during the Hippocratic Oath" I'm surprised you didn't call it the "Hypocritic Oath".
Beautiful. I thought of Doctor Lalve's guide to Medic, "the Hippocratic Oath was downgraded to an optional Hippocratic suggestion."
YEEEEEEEEEE. FINALLY. THANK YOU. Personally, instead of poison spray, I would have chosen Infestation. You can flavour it as bugs swarming out of your orifices. Which would be terrifying. However I. Love. This!!!!!
How does it feel to have a class made for you Mr. Scared Crow?
If you watch batman meets the ninja turtles movie Scarecrow actually gets literally turned into a Kenku. This happens when the Joker releases a toxic gas that turns people into anthropomorphic animals that he got from Shredder. Check it out; it's a pretty good movie too.
"they Call you Scarecrow because your out standing in your field." I am taking that. Its mine now.
Recommendations:
Danny Phantom : Danny Phantom
Dr. Facilier : Princess and the Frog
Krieg : Borderlands 2
Like and subscribe to become a literal Badass... maybe.
And a Spawn build
Danny phantom for sure
I second Danny Phantom!
Strong bad
The name of the strong batman villain you keep thinking of is Killer Croc.
It is?
Damn.
I was sure he meant Clayface.
Are you sure your not talking about Solomon Grundy
Clearly he's thinking of Hugo Strange's Monster Men.
Or maybe one of Doctor Hurt's Three Ghosts, the big one who kinda looks like a Mexican Wrestler.
@@yifenifen5709 Naw, naw, he mentioned they were dressed up as a wrestler. He's obviously thinking about Juggernaut.
Wouldn't it be Bane?
I had a fear based character, dragonborn whisper bard / conquest paladin, lots of ways to cause fear, including the racial dragon roar feat to replace breath weapon. Basically all enemies around him were frightened of him, couldn't move, and were taking psychic damage the whole time. He was great for crowd control.
That sounds awesome
The monk level fits surprisingly well as scarecrow in canon made his own marital arts style, I’m not sure if that was the intention or it was for convenience
HollowKnight he did? Did he have a name for it lol
@@UberEric yeah, it was called "Violent Dancing"
@@mr.killwolf6667 it is inspired by crane stile marshal arts
@@jameswagstaff984 nice.
I played a similar build to this, and when the party decided to turn on my character I killed them all seriously you can completely dismantle a group of strong enemies if you know what your doing and manage your concentration
Waaaaat why did they turn on you? And HOW did you kill them?!? Plz elaborate this sounds interesting.
@@matsh5633 Tulok himself brought up using Enemies Abound to turn a heavy-hitter on their allies, and that Scarecrow is at his peak when he's causing Gotham to tear *itself* apart: sowing disunity always simplifies things for those whom people unite against. 😛
"Outstanding in his field" My favorite play on words
Recommendation: Talion from the Shadow of Mordor/War games
YES
I see you beat me to the recommendation
Revenant Ranger I guess?
That'd be perfect for an echo knight ranger multiclass.
Agreed
Next can you do my neighbor Todd. He’d have some levels in theif rouge for never returning my grill
And somebody around here must have modify memory because every time we ask him about it, he seems to not know what we’re talking about
I was expecting the monk levels to make a showing. I'll admit. I think the funniest moment of Knightfall for me was Crane revealing he had studied Kung-Fu whilst in prison. "THE UNBEATABLE CRANE STYLE!"
Tulok: Calls Unearthed Arcana "Professionally Written."
*Laughs in Stand Monk.*
Way of the Astral Self is pretty weak until level 17 or so though. By then most classes are strong anyways.
It's a cool concept though
@@tobiisagoodboy8510 17? Nah, it's pretty good already at level 5th. That's where you can really exploit wisdom giving you both a good to hit/damage bonus as well as a high DC on your stunning strike without having to sacrifice your AC or anything like that. I'm part of a PvP group and it keeps on doing great or awesome whenever someone picks it.
I allow it at my table pretty much as is though.
@@oOPPHOo I mean, being good attacking isn't great. Congrats, you're a match for a Fighter for a few levels. Is having good To-hit/DC all that OP compared to any 3-4 level spell or a Paladin with Auras?
@@Ty17V When your DC is for stunning strike which only cost a single ki point that all get refilled on a short rest, having a high DC is pretty fucking amazing. Other monks have to make sacrifices to get a high stunning strike DC. Sacrificing your to hit bonus even affects how often you land your stunning strike.
I have been waiting for this character for long!
So, since this is a creepy character, I'd like to add something to an old request : Lovecraft buids. Months ago, I asked for them and you asked where to find videos. Here some suggestions:
_Herbert West (a mad scientist, raising deads with alchemy) from The Reanimator movies
_Supernatural Investigator (variety of choices) from the 2 recent games
_Cultist (GOO Warlock/wizard) from the various games
_A challenging build : The Color (a litteral color, kind of an invisible monster with both vampiric power and affecting nature) from the 2019 movie with Nicolas Cage.
With or without the Lovecraftian Racism?
Since we're officially halfway to 200 builds, may I ask for a Goku build at episode 200? It would accompany Superman being build number 100.
Protector Aasimar
Monk (Sun Soul) 19
Barbarian 1
Sun Soul Monk for Ki-blasts, super fast running, Unarmed Combat, and general Monk/Goku shit.
Protector Aasimar for Super Saiyan (and flight).
And Barbarian Rage for a second Super Saiyan form.
I would make the argument that Spiritual Weapon or Spirit Guardians would be a great spell you could reflavor and say all of your opponents are mass-halucinating the same thing beating them up. Otherwise this seems super solid even if it has too many concentration spells!!
Doomsday is the most boring Superman villain of all time but he's ahead in the poll because the big-brain vote is split between Braniac and Lex Luthor.
Do Mxyzptlk, You coward!
Mxy is the DM.
Ah you mean kltpzyxm
The scariest part of this video is seeing how many people are more willing to build for a big grey baby than the big brain duo.
I was so indecisive between the two and then saw the pool and thought “Oh, they really like barbarians, don't they?"
Seriously! I don't understand why people want to see Doomsday when they could get LEX LUTHOR, the man who makes being rich, bald, and evil look good.
Why do I get the feeling Thursday is gonna be Bane 🤔🤔
Didn't he do that one already?
Martin D. Not yet, Kubo took me by surprise though.
Thanks, the intro is the stuff of nightmares.
Notes from a NG human Idiot;
Greetings from lovely Restenford!
You could technically make a non-combat version of Dr.Crane(basically the Batman Begins version) by switching Monk 1 with Artificer 3(Alchemist subclass). You have to give up two more Bard levels, but you gain all those nice chemical interactions that made Batbales Crane more dangerous imho. It also gives you more combat options if you DO overextend....
May your pantheon Ever favor you(especially in these trying times),
Baron Trevelyan of Restenford
The Undead Warlock subclass in the ‘Guide To Ravenloft’ is better as it allows you to have the spell ‘bane’ and a few others and turn into ‘Form Of Dread’ which allows you to become a horrific image (toxin scarecrow) and make an enemy you hit fearful of you.
Second try of suggesting Kazuma from Konosuba
Nemesis from Resident Evil could also be really cool
Kazuma would be great! Of course, point buy would probably be best (with standard human) to get all 13s, except for 15 Int. For that sweet, sweet multiclassing action.
Edit: Of course Tulok has established he won't do point-buy sooo...
"Bouncing over to Monk"
NANIIIIII?
I like the use of Bane in this build. Now I want to pair him with a luchador character... Wait, isn't there a Batman villain like that? What's his name again?
Wally
I think he’s called The Wall.
One thing you should have addedd that this character that he could created fear bombs like in Assassin's Creed Syndicate because of how they cause hallucinogenic powder and gas to appear and after a certain time they make a horrific sound that scares people.
The Prince from Prince of Persia build please. The Sands of Time would be interesting to figure out.
this notification actually scared me since i was playing a horror game, you cleirvoyant bastard.
I once again ask for your generator rex video
Would love to see Handsome Jack from Borderlands 2 as a character build
Hell yes
My friend playing a trickster cleric used handsome Jack as her God lol
There are swords that are just militarized sickle and scythe blades. Sickle swords (think bronze age Egypt and Mesopotamia) are just as effective as straight swords when made of the same material. For a two-handed one, the Falx is pretty cool. Either way in d&d they're just different flavors of normal swords.
Etterra khopesh is the name
I love all the Batman villain builds. You can really have the Rogue's gallery as BBEGs.
That jackass reference threw me off guard there. Was not expecting that.
Dude my favorite Batman villain? I clicked so fast. Good pick guys.
Can't believe he couldn't think of that luchador's name, neither could I though 10/10 would ask where batman was when he was standing directly behind me while using this build
I tried to come up with a Loxodont character, ‘cause I wanna see more pachyderms. He’s not that famous a character, but Tembo The Badass Elephant would be such a fun wtf of a video, and a pretty fun build to play
All I know about that game is from the Zero Punctuation review. What's he got going?
BJGvideos Well, he’s an elephant who happens to be a commando and a friend to children. He had 1 game, actually made by Game Freak (the company that makes Pokémon) of all people. Again, I was more just trying to come up with Loxodont characters, and besides Barbar, Tembo was the only one I could think of. But hey, if you’re interested, check the game out; it’s a Sonic style running platformer, but since Tembo is a big boy, he can actually just smash his way through walls and shit, giving his gameplay a unique twist.
That Psychic Scream joke is beautiful
The Jason Todd reference just makes me crave a Red Hood build
I am a fan of more "guns" in dnd, and I really like artificer any reason I can get
Man, I just discovered your channel and I love everything so far!! I’m so glad you did Scarecrow, he’s my favorite DC villain - I’m going to binge a lot of your videos!
i'd love to see more rwby! you did well, ruby, but i'm also interested in weiss, blake and yang, especially weiss thought, her summoning abilities is really interesting
I wanna see Sol Badguy.
The Badguy that’s actually the main ‘Good’ guy, and the bad guy is That Guy... no, his name IS ‘That Guy’
*That Man
Having Death Battle flashbacks over here.
Yes please!
@@silverdragon147 Probably the best written skit they ever had
Death The Wrathsin death battle has a sol badguy battle? Sick. I just love guilty gear.
Episode #150 of the Fire Emblem stats: Jonathan Crane.
I'm going to mix the Arkham and Injustice versions here. He's good at brawling (which I'll count his syringe gloves as), axes (which I'll count his sickle as), and authority. He's weak in reason because that neutralizes his fear toxin.
He's pretty weak overall in terms of stats but he has a better luck stat than most since he's the master of disorienting people.
I waited for this for so long!!! Excellent build
I had a player try to do this as a warforge who was a literal scarecrow except his was really bad and yours is really good.
pretty spooky, wouldn't be surprised if it pops up again in 6 months. would like to see more FE characters, possibly Claude or Edelgard? Or Sigurd/Seliph we haven't had a good knight on a steed
Tulok: I'd love to see what you can do with Asta from Black Clover!
Why is no one talking about the “Hey I’m Jason Todd, welcome to JackAsk.” 3:18
*The Scarecrow*
A variant human bard (with a level in monk) infamous for creating and using a fear-inducing gas.
Lucifer Morningstar next please!!
Thank you thank you thank you so much for this I have been waiting for this and praying for this and you delivered my friend my build can now be complete
@Tulok the Barbrarian How about "How to Play Tyler Rake" ? :D just saw the Movie and it was awesome. Keep up your awesome Videos.
If you can, get your hands on a Wand of Fear. That’ll definitely be a useful addition to your arsenal.
I think Menacing is actually a Homebrew feat; the only other one I see is just the Orc species passive that grants proficiency in Intimidation and nothing else.
I think that strong guy you were blanking on is called the Luchador
I find it funny how many people fear UA so much, while actually missing the UA versions of some published subclasses like the Storm Sorcerer or the Kensei Monk.
And nice build! It's kind of hard to make it much different from Pennywise, to be fair, but you did good!
the UA version tend to get tweaked before official publishing.
Slimy Doom is my favorite because it's called Slimy Doom.
Do Deku from MHA and do Tohru Adachi from Persona
I'm honestly surprised he didn't put the spell Dream on there.
Can you explain the spell? It's a little confusing to me.
I think Weird would have been perfect too
@@dragonarchive7443 it is kind of complicated. Basically you pick a character to be a messenger (the messenger can be yourself) and they go into the dreams of someone else. The messenger then gives your target a message of ten words or less, and they make a save. If they fail, they gain no benefit from the rest, and take 3d6 damage when they wake up.
It is mostly a rp spell and not very strong for 5th level
@@gavinlopez6258 I always think of it as you freddy Kroger someone roleplay wise but the damage doesn't reflect that
Holy fuck I didn’t ask for this too long ago, thank you mate.
Recommendations
1. freddy krueger a nightmare on elm street
2. Road hog overwatch
3. The calypso twins bl3
4. Edward kenway assassins creed 4
And maybe a big daddy from bioshock
"use this on a kryptonian. they're not super smart, and they hit like a truck." super man is super smart about half the time in comics, depending on who's writing him. the sun empowers him in all ways. in allstar superman, he's every bit the genius lex luthor is.
Oh come on, now you're doing DC villains? Please, do Catwoman, I beg thee
How to play Lobo.
I want to see your approach to this build. ^^
Can you make me a build that will make her love me?
I got super into character creation after watchin these, and while fiddling around discovered that one character can be proficient in all of the skills by level 8.
Man i'm not Even play 5e but this builds are just hilarious! I love them all
Anyone read a webtoon called solo leveling warrior? I've been trying to recreate him as a dnd charachter
His reliance on mana or spell slots for his undead makes me think wizard/necromancer, his sneak attacks? Rogue. So just multiclass wizard/rogue with finesse weapon short swords. As for subclasses, obviously necromancer and as for assassin; either arcane trickster or assassin would be my best suggestion. Start as arcane trickster to get his dominating hand thing as a mage hand and you should be good.
I like when he gets magical secrets like one of the strongest features of 5e and he decide to use it on cantrips ... I know he trys to be cool and faithful but darn thats fn hurt XD
also Edit: Contagion got erreta so you need to check your spells again mate XD :P no worries so basicly it was depated if the desease happen directly or only after the 3 failed saves. so now it is clear that when they are hit the creature is poisoned and stays poisoned until they fail three times then they get the disease or save 3 times and they stop being poisoned
I never thought of this idea, but I kind of want to know. Although my first real D&D character has similar powers, although she’s not evil just spooky
Watching all of these in succession like this makes me realize how frightening Scarecrow and Mysterio would be together. Throw in Pennywise, and you’ve got a terrifying trio. #DecemberTulokRewatch
Quite possibly my favorite supervillain.
I was waiting for the next Batman villain and yet another wonderful build. I don’t have a Twitter but I wanted to make a recommendation. I just started on this passion project Power Ranger campaign and I thought “I wonder how Tulok would build a Power Ranger...” I looked up some stuff and while an actual Ranger (maybe Horizon Walker) would fit more idealistically, I figured that, mechanically, 10 levels of Celestial Bladelock (for a personal weapon like some rangers have, mage armor for ranger armor, and the Sculptor of Flesh invocation to turn into your Zord), 7/8 levels of Kensei Monk, and 2/3 levels of Battlemaster Fighter (for teamwork abilities) would be a cool setup. Just something to think about while we’re all stuck at home bein nerds. Can’t wait for the next one!
Wander from Shadow of the Colossus?
Love your videos, would like to see you make a Winter Soldier build at some point
I dont know if this was asked before but hey great barbarian tulok have you considered to make some league of legends champ some are more hard to figured out how to make i would love to see some rhing like shyvana or yasuo
Found the content a week or so ago through the FF7R remake builds and I have to ask for my golden Girl Aerith please
James Bond. Also, would be nice if you mixed things up and changed from the Standard Points Array.
This is an awesome build! Scarecrow is one of my favorite villains and it is awesome to see him built in DnD!
I still want dr. facilier, Tulok
Fun Fact.
Bards (Aside from Magical Secrets) cannot learn Cause Fear, Mind Spike, Phantasmal Killer, or Power Word Pain.
I made a character based off of Scarecrow a few months ago. It was only level 8 but I went Some GOOlock and Onomacy Wizard, flavored the True names as True Fears instead. And as a backstory pact thing, he had a random fear everyday, that was fun to play with
Could you do a predator build
make inosuke!
or elsword lord knight fro mthe game elsword, i want to see if it's possible to make it
I’d love to see your take on a REALLY unusual character: Monsoon from Metal Gear Rising.
Oh, now thats a video
You should do a spy sometime. Like Jason Bourne, James Bond, etc
Thank you for the Inosuke Hashibira inclusion in the polls! I hope he wins!!! Would it be possible to add him back on the pool for the next character?
Weekly Build Request: Hey Tulok, I would love to see a build for Steven Universe.
Oh Garnet would be cool. Warforged Divination Wizard + Monk maybe?
Pearl would probably be a Swords Bard
Amethyst is clearly a Moon Druid + some other stuff maybe
unearthed arcana? Not spooky.
SCAG? Now that's some scary shit.
Do Sid from Ice Age
Yes.
This is my favorite DC villain and I loved this!!! I would like to see a build with The Unicorn/Lady Amalthea from Peter S Begal's The Last Unicorn!
I actually made a scarecrow with plus 25 intimidation and a minimum roll of 35
The only thing that scares me is the lack of Anderson Cooper on this channel. There really needs to be a build for him!
Really enjoy the channel
Recommendation: Do Mega Man or Proto Man. Would be interesting to see how someone can take others abilities. Maybe even Doctor Light - sure he’s human, but could be a gnome build which I haven’t seen yet (still working my way through the backlog in case I missed one).
Pls build Lelouch from code geass
I was hoping he'd use shadow blade for the sickle
So who, build wise, is more of a master of fear: Darth Vader or Scarecrow?? Or at the very least, in terms of practicality within play...
Recommendation: The Arbiter, Halo series
