A novitiate to RC cars I'm continually amazed at the options, accessories, ingenuity, and creativity behind both the big name RTRs and custom creations like these. I'm currently having way too much fun sharing a 3s battery between a Rustler and a TRX4 Sport.
Awesome project! I like the minimalist approach and using the X4 body is a smart move since it looks great and when trimmed is around 175g's. Looking forward to part 2!
I am wanting to swap to a 4 link in the front and use a axle mounted servo. I really appreciate the info on the rear steering man. That's basically what I am going to do front and rear.
I was just thinking about doing this to my Bronco the other day lol. I did crab steering to my sons Losi it was fun. Maybe your reading my mind, should I get the tinfoil hat lol. Great video, cheers!
Wow, I’ve been looking to build a rear steering rig. Do you plan on sharing step-by-step instructions or finished photos online? I can’t wait for the next video! Thank you!
I was able to drive it yesterday and believe it or not I got them to fit without looking too crazy. Hopefully the foams break in a bit. New video on this should be edited and up Friday.
Jedi Radek Crif Thank you, have you ever watched the Transformers? Optimus Prime, Megatron? Well Grimlock was a T Rex Transformer, big and really strong

It only gets better, you’ll be custom building and modding stuff soon.
Nice project. I really like the steering solution. Looking forward to the next part.
Wicked video excellent build wasn't sure that truck could get better but think it just did

TBone if you check out the part 3 with the 1tenth servo on axle mounts you can see how I put the servo on axle up front.
Nice man. 👍😃👍 Looking good. 👍😃👍
This rig is going to be a beast! I can't wait to see what you use to power it.

This thing should be a badass.
@@ExocagedRC It's going to be I cant wait to see when your done.
Sweet
I have tried what you are doing and the 1.9 is better performance. But try it I want to see how yours works out.

What are good replacement servos for the diff locks and trans? All 3 of mine have finally stripped...
Can we buy the aluminum bracket for mounting the servo ?
hey man! one question, did you put overdrive gears on your redcat gen 7?
No sir. Stock gears at both ends.
@@ExocagedRC I heard that the axial gears might fit with some little mods, might try it. Thanks and keep the good work with your channel!
João Oliveira I haven’t heard that for the portal axles but in the old straight axles yes they would fit with a bit of work.
@@ExocagedRC yeah I was talking about the old straight ones
Sorry what does Grimlock mean? Love your channel btw...
Jedi Radek Crif Thank you, have you ever watched the Transformers? Optimus Prime, Megatron? Well Grimlock was a T Rex Transformer, big and really strong
@@ExocagedRC oh duh LOLOL...saw the autobot stickers on the later vids...didn't put it together 🤦🏽
