- Hello IT Pros, this is Alvendril! In this Video, "Bios Password Reset | HP t640 Thin Client", I show what passwords might be configured on this device and how to reset them. Thanks ended up with 2 of these recently and could not get into bios F10 wasn't working even though F9 brought up boot menu. Escape allowed me to get into bios so now I can play around with Linux on these things hopefully.

worked great! other models seem to have the same pin for password... thanks alot! fixed my issue in less than 5 min

How can I restore this thin client t640 to fabric I need it :(
Can you please send wi-fi card model ( or pic ) need to buy it separately... also one I'm thinking of buying has no COM port... I know that there're versions with USB-C but no idea what connector is that.. any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Having done this i am facing the issue i.e Admin Password. I want to install the new window in it but without having admin password is it possible? Plz help

This method works on T740
I can confirm this method works in most t740's... But not in everyone.
Yeah it doesnt work on all T740's it didnt work on mine either. I'm gonna try taking the cmos battery out and powering on.

It didn’t work. Did you replace the bios chip ?
