Being English I find street running trains fascinating, we just don't have them any more. Best wishes for Christmas and I'm looking forward to more of your videos in the New Year.
Hi from York, England and thank you for another great video. Merry Christmas to you and Witold, best wishes for the New Year and thank you for keeping us entertained!
It is definitely cold and a lot snow but it is really awesome seeing the street running train going through the city like this.🚂🚃🚃🇺🇲 ☃️🎄Merry Christmas🎄☃️
I live in New Zealand and drivetrains on a Heritage line in the North at a small town called Kawakawa. The line passes along the main street which happens to be the main highway north. It is fascinating to be in the cab at eye level with big rigs going past.
i'm watching from virginia. i lived there in utica most of my like. what memories this brings back to me. my grandparents lived right up the street here on schuyler street. grandpa used to put pennies on the track and let us watch as the train ran over them. then he would pick up a penny big and flattened out like a pancake. 😄👏
Thank you for sharing, I'm in Utica but on the east side and dont have a vehicle at the moment. I love your videos - I miss seeing the trains. Merry Christmas!! See you in the New Year!
Always enjoy your street running videos and the opportunity to see bits and pieces of Utica, NY. Seems like a neat little town and you have your own brewery! I can't find any of the Utica beers where i am in Missouri.
This is very cool! Usually the trains are coming from the other direction and dropping cars off at the brewery, it's nice seeing it come in from another direction. I think those crossing gate lights come on way too early though.🤨
Very enjoyable. Thank you for videoing this. I was an engineer in Indiana and our line had a half mile of street trackage. It wasn't a lot of fun dodging traffic.
I remember steam locos tracks across and along the roads here in Manchester UK in the late 1960s when I ate tripe and chips and visited smoke filled pubs as a small child with my father. Oh for a Time Machine!
Hello from New Delhi India Where the only snow we’ll have on Christmas is the kind in a spray can…lol Doing the holidays with family that are stationed here
Interesting that the last car in the train has GTW (Grand Trunk Western) reporting marks - another fallen flag name absorbed into the Canadian National family.
So is this a situation like in La Grange, KY where the trains come down the Main Street in the town? Do you know how many times a day there is a train in Utica? Always so interesting to see. Thanks for your video.
Hey rail rambler winter is my favorite season. Love Short days . Bummer no cops around to handout tickets. When is Utica train show coming?. Have a great railroad day.
Funny you say light snow fall, because in my joke of a country, schools close, trains stop, busses stop, and people get "snowed in" If there is even the hint of white stuff on the ground. Lovely shots as usual mate 👍
@@MestFares95 7 Boxcars came down the street, at 30 MPH, Down the hill into the yard, through the S curve and crashed threw the doors of the engine house. Second time was a loaded hopper car and it went all the way to Utica's Union Station 🚉 and crashed into our New York Central steam engine driving it into the stair tower.

The Hong Kong street tram system is built on the rails you guys originally laid there in the pith helmet colonial days.
I am from Sri Lanka and I am really thankful for all the hard work your ancestors have done for this island
It’s not right to put rails on the road....kinda dangerous for the people in town
In most cases, the rail ttrrrrunk line was there before the road, and moving the rail would have not been possible.
Hi from York, England and thank you for another great video. Merry Christmas to you and Witold, best wishes for the New Year and thank you for keeping us entertained!
Very nice! I watched Witold's winter video & also enjoyed hearing the train whistle,. Merry Christmas from Medford Oregon!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Roseburg.

Hi from Wintry Tonawanda NY. No snow until a week or so ago. All that was needed was a little change in wind direction.
You’ve dreamt of a *White Christmas.* Looks like you got your wish.
What a great scenery, thanks a lot for the video!
Merry Christmas from Sweden!
All the best to you and yours this Christmas, too!!
Been a warm winter for me so I came here hoping you had some snowy street runs recently. Wasn’t disappointed.
I always enjoy seeing this one.

Love your videos! I live near Windsor, NY and hope to visit Utica sometime. Merry Christmas 🎄
Happy holidays to you, your sister and Witold. Keep up the good work in 2025. …from Rochester…RichfromRoch
Hello from Abbeville South Carolina 👍
Railfan Warrior out in the snow but not as bad as the snow that flew off the CSX train! Another great looking video.
Nice video; lived briefly with my family in Sayre,Pa, which is on the Susquahanna River.
Very enjoyable. Thank you for videoing this. I was an engineer in Indiana and our line had a half mile of street trackage. It wasn't a lot of fun dodging traffic.

Love your street railways...like we used to have here in germany....quite a while ago...cheers an happy xmas all...
Love this! Old time small town winter scenery.
Merry Christmas to you and your family from the “Brainy Borough” of Metuchen, NJ.

And a Happy Holiday to you and yours 🎉🎉
Good video, like ! ! !
Very nice video. Can you explain that building a bit and it's history? It does look old. Thanks
Do these street running trains run on a somewhat regular schedule or are you monitoring the RR radio?
They operate every day M-F, usually once in morning then again in afternoon. Just ran into them today purely by chance
@@railroadingrambler218 awesome catch the engineer waved
3:24 Is that the well-known junction to this brewery? If yes, is it still in use and how often?
Yes, still used, once to twice per week usually
@@railroadingrambler218 👍
At least, the Susquehanna isn't required to have a flagger preceed the train as the Erie Railroad did on Monroe St. in Passaic, NJ.
Wondering what the history is of that brick building in your shot
Me too...I'll see what I can find out
❤👍
A get o. Was nice a very long time ago.
Looks like the new phone books have arrived.
And for your convenience we have a family dollar right on the corner for all your shopping needs before the train gets here.
it could be very dangerous if a train roll in the street
If you mean run away railcars, it's happened- 2 times 😮.
@richardbause2453 yeah !

215K load limit on a box car , car will probably cube out before weigh out.

The amount of people just blatantly ignoring that RED LIGHT is mind numbing..............
It was a white christmas in florida.
Folks like to run lights there!
Maybe impatient with street running…
I see that graffiti aflicts the USA as it does the UK.
