This is my first tutorial on how to create a scrapbook mini album.

I will definitely need to use your spine and binding technique! It was very clever to sandwich the Tyvek between paper to make a sturdy spine. I can't wait to watch the rest of this album series.

I had never thought about using a Xyron for this purpose! All I've ever used it for is stickers and embellishments. Thanks for a great tip!

You are welcome :-) Most large on line stores have this papers, but you can also use only the 12x12 papers and make the tags and pockets a bit different ore create something else you like. Happy scrappin :-)

Thank you so much :-) You can use some thin fabric, but you dont have to use anything `. Most office supply stores sell the Tyvek envelopes.

ohh Anne thanks for answering......iam from the Caribbean but presently iam living here in Lima Peru....two days ago i went to buy my materials but it seems scrapbooking is recently arriving here therefore there are not many resources to work with....i would love to know how to make my own form patterns since i didnt get ready made ones...and i have one more question when u start this video u start already with an orange paper with lines how do ido that??

Hi there - I love this video and I really appreciate the wonderful way you explain things. I really like the embossing folder you used in this video and would love to get it but I am not able to hear the name due to some background noise when this was taped. I realize this video is a few years old but would really appreciate getting the embossing folder from you...thanks much!

I am making a honeymoon album for a friend of mine, based on your Graphic 45 Tropical travelogue album and was wondering where you get the Tyvek from, I have looked everywhere here in Sweden but can only find regular envelopes made of Tyvek. I'd be greatful to find out.

Is this binding system your own unique invention or did you get your system from Kathy Orta from her channel called "Paper Phenomenon" right here on RUclips? Is this system the one she just patented and has called "Hidden Hinge". Thank you.
Hi Ruth, Yes this is the first Kathy Orta binding system I used for this album.This system is the old one and she patterned the new hidden hinge plus. I told in this series that I got the binding system from her and also linked her channel bellow in the description box. Have fun creating :-)
Thank you for your quick response. I am confused. I cannot see any difference between Kathy Orta's new patented "Hidden Hinge Plus" and her old one that you featured in your tutorial. Can you briefly tell me what the difference is, and if you have any project tutorials using this new Hidden Hinge Plus. (BTW: I have purchased instrux from Kathy Orta that has both hinge systems.) Sorry but I have not tried the new binding system but I think it is a more expanding page binding. I think Kathy Orta have have instructions videos so maybe it is better to ask her. Have fun creating :-)

Anne, I started a mini album that I had found in my email from YOU.... It is made with different size envelopes... Now I can't find the tutorial on the album... HELP!!! You received the idea from someone else but it's been to long for me to remember her name.. =

It is a scoring board from Martha Stewart but i think it is retired now. You can find similar scoring boards in most scrapbokk shops. Hope that helps and have fun creating :-)

you totally lost me ,i actually placed the score tape on the wrong side,i got confused by the 8`ths and the orange and then the black with the orange-i had my black and you totally lost me,maybe im just stupid cause i am norwegian and english is not my language.. give me cm anyday, atlest say the full mesurments dont just every kvarter or every 8`ts or something .. oh well some more for the trash bin,at lest it will be well fed this week... i need another tutorial
