I care about the stuttering. Stutters, especially in racing games, can destroy the experience. Stuttering in esports games are pretty experience killing too. In fact stuttering everywhere is a killer for experience.
I find that playing the game for a short while usually stabalizes the performance, probably a shader cache thing. I play with a mix of Low & Medium, FSR Balanced, capped to 45FPS, 10W TDP > around 3 Hours of battery.

Word of advice. The game's newest updates messed up the built-in frame-rate cap/limit. The performance is going to tank if you set the inner framerate to 30 because it caps the CPU/GPU output as well. My advice, set the inner-framerate to 90, and cap the game to 30 from the Deck Quick Access menu.
Again, just to warn the viewers, the high FPS lag is from the game not being able to handle itself on Linux, not the Deck's hardware. You keep saying its the CPU Happens on high-end PCs with Linux, doesn't happen on Deck running Windows. Both FH4 and 5 use the same engine, hence the same issue. What's frustrating is that not enough attention is being given to this game so prolly wont be fixed for years, I REALLY want to play it but I'd rather not, instead of using Windows

Just years prior something like this needed big ahh Xbox One under the TV. And game looked like it's running low-midish setting. God damn, technological advancement is amazing.
i have a gtx 1070 running forza 5 with 1440p and the ultra settings with fsr 2.2 quality to maintain 60fps at all times other than the tunnel pretty good gpu tbh
Like a comment mentioned before, Forza games just doesn't work well on Linux, the steamdeck is more than capable of playing this. If you dual-boot windows on your steamdeck, you'll find that the game runs at an almost 60fps at high settings, no stutters or jittering whatsoever. IT's unfortunate but for Forza, windows is the way to go.
tbh imo the best configuration to save as much power as possible while the game doesn't look like crap would be low settings, 720p, fsr 2.1 balanced or performance and locking the fps at 60
It works but after a while it’ll crash no matter what. I think it’s a memory leak issue. As the game runs at 12GB of ram starting and then after about 2-3 hours it’ll hit 13.5 and crash when loading a race.

I also tried it on Free weekend, and man this Game is really fun and looks so Gorgeous! Did you try TAA on the Deck? Since it looks better than MSAA in this Game imo What are your thoughts on DLSS 3.5 EL Kryzzpo? I think it´s really nice since it´ll be avaiable on every RTX GPU! Maybe it will get rid of the low quality Reflections in Cyberpunk with RT.
Xbox game pass PC gives you acces to it, in my country it's 7 euros a month. Currently have 12 days and some odd hours intro it, it's a good game but repetitive ( racing, duh) it is very fun but after you finish it ( main story maybe 10 hours max) you need some friend to fill the boredom. It is a fun game but feels a little incomplete in the story compartment.
what pisses me off about this game is that you can't just jump into a race. you need to drive around for a while, interact with people, enter events, do this, do that and THEN you can race. come on man i just want to race...
I did. And i returned it latet, traded it for a deck and a ton of other tech. At least i use all those devices daily (macbook, ipad, deck) and they're portable too.
I am getting consitant 57fps just run everything on low 9-10 tdp /gpu clock frequency 1200 turn ingame vysnc off causes the stutter also motion blur low or med up to you taa you can put to 10 or anything you like I use 5 set the steams refresh rate to 57 set everything to very low and off there you go also set (a) to be your clutch assign them to back buttons with a second command should be (a+x)for downshift and (a+b) to ushift but with clutch so faster and you get engine braking but you may get a hick up in the very dense but mainly 50 then back up to 57 at 50 fps it tends not to even drop tbh tend to get 1h,30 forgot using cryo utilities also

I have 5600G paired with an RX 6600. I was having stutters and lags when fps was uncapped. Playing on 1080p Ultra gave me 100+ fps but stutters and lags... had to cap it at 60. A lot people complained about that issues, even the ones with faster CPUs and GPUs than mines. I tried to figure out what was the issue but no sucsess. Does anyone know is this fixable or not? Because I want to play at higher fps as I can feel the smoothness of 100+ fps compared to 60 even though I have 60hz monitor

It's not the game, it's because it's optimized for steam deck. On Xbox one s and PC I've never had grass like that even on performance mode on Xbox. Steam deck is a beast and you won't notice the grass in a race

Really unfortunate that the steam deck can't run Forza horizon 5 at a consistent 60fps on medium. I think for the steam deck to be able to run FH5 well, it's tdp has to increase to 20W or 25W, which I'm not sure if it's possible and probably not the best thing to do

That's good provided we have an AMD iGPU and you still get 60fps on Forza Fucking 5.

Im using a mix of mid/high with a lock of 35fps
*You need to overclock the screen to 70hz to be able to lock the fps to 35*

Then Play Forza Motorsport, GT or any full rscing game. Horizon is all about the open world, it's specially made for it lol.

Try 83fps. But my monitor is different than yours so the option might not show up.
