Burn in on headphones, speakers, drivers of any kind is a myth. Makes sure you are out of your 30 day warrenty. If you don't like new HPs instantly. Please just send them back. They do not get better.
From what Ive heard subwoofers are the only audio device that have been tested to correlate having a better sound after burn in but thats usually because Subwoofer drivers have such stiff reinforcement as they travel that they gotta break in like new sneakers to get higher amplitude and improved sound pressure levels
Never heard of headphone burn in. But I myself have had that many times. "I don't need new headphones I just want something a but louder" is why I always upgrade
Also the whole burning thing for headphones is a legit thing, I don't think it as pronounced as people say, but definitely a thing. The speakers are made of a fabric, so as you use them and they get subjected to vibration. The physical range of the fabrics vibration will increase

The official dock is also not that expensive when accounting for the charger that is included. But it is of course possible you didnt need another charger thereby rather save the money.
The likes of Jsaux also give a charger. I pre ordered the M.2 Dock and originally it didn't have a included. Like 6 months later one randomly showed up as the changed to now supply a charger in the box
I wished there was a controller that was akin to the steam deck mostly because I find the trackpad so useful as a secondary general camera and for its touch menu. I personally would not mind not having a right stick if weren’t for emulation, and 3D platformers that don’t handle mixed inputs existing.

🤣 Yeah I think these sort of glasses are gonna be great for a lot of people. The Viture ones are high quality and I've heard good things about the NReal/XReals too
@FanTheDeck They are good, but the ecosystem for the AR (as advertised) is not there. My use cases are the Steam Deck Samsung Dex. So pretty much XR style glasses, with 1080p, side by side 3d mode, and a 120hz option. Downfalls 46° FOV (sucks for the 3d but everything else looks fine) and it's wired but honestly casting a game to any display has too much lag. In short its a good pair of glasses if you know what you are buying. I'm happy
I have the n real ar glasses and they turn off randomly. It appears the via USB power save mode from the operating system. anyone know how to fix this?
Audio burn-in is a myth*. Also, I have the Aria and other Moondrop IEMs. The Aria is a very good, warm and relaxing sound signature. I don't have the Quarks, but I have the Chu (a newer cheap entry from Moondrop). The Chu is considerably brighter than the Aria, so I find it more fatiguing. Nowadays though, I'd recommend something like the Tin HiFi C2 or the Truthear Red at around these price points (a bit less, actually). * there have been some VERY SPECIFIC situations where burn-in might have SLIGHTLY changed the frequency response of transducers in measurements. But that's pretty much anecdotal evidence, and tests indicate that in the vast majority of cases burn-in makes absolutely no measurable difference.
Very helpful advice! Thank you!! I do like the Arias quite a bit but the sound didn't feel like a huge improvement to the Quarks which I think says more about the Quarks. I am very curious to try to the other ones you mentioned. I'll give them a shot!
@@firstnameIastname the context in which I read about this has been specifically about headphones, IEMs and bookshelf speakers. And also DACs and solid-state amps. Yo, thanks for the video! I actually need an enclosure for my old steam deck drive. How loud is the fan on the Sharge disk, it sounds pretty loud and whiny on the video, is it actually that bad? can you decrease the fan speed?
Yeah I wanted to share the audio of the SHARGE Disk because it is pretty noisy. It's louder than the Steam Deck itself running an intensive game. It's possible that passive cooling (e.g. with thermal pads) would have been enough to keep an m.2 nice and cool but I'm not sure.
@@FanTheDeck that was actually super informative, so thanks a lot! And the noise is kind of a deal breaker for me ... Which enclosure did you have issues with in the past? (you mentioned something about a drive dying in a poorly cooled enclosure)

I just experienced my biggest case of buyer's regret when I got my Viture XR in the mail and realized it has no way to adjust IPD. It's such a basic necessity on devices like this that I didn't even bother to check 🤦♂️
Wait, that little keyboard wakes up the Deck? That's a game changer for docked mode. I don't use my dock as much cuz I'm too lazy to get up and turn it on...
I never thought Boomer Shooters made good viewing, for streaming, but somehow It was more enjoyable to watch your hands fiddling with the trackpad boi, but that's up there with beating Elden Ring on a RE4 Chainsaw
I play GTA V on the deck. In the most recent update, they made it hard to leave your character watching the DJ to make money. The game times out. However, there's a way around this. Buy a mouse jiggler. There's many to pick from, the one I bought was from Auedrot. I have a JSAUX doc, and it only has 2 USB ports. I plug in my mouse, keyboard, and monitor. However, I wanted to plug in my controller so it doesn't go to sleep, and the mouse jiggler. I bought an Atolla powered USB hub. This may be why your controller doesn't work when plugged into your doc. Because you need the port to be powered. My purple 8bitdo works plugged into the 7 port USB hub, which is 4 amps with a special charging port.
that sharge disk seems great... i feel like i could setup a batocera on it and bring it around with me and flex on friends. the moondrops are easy pass. for under 20 bucks they work, but they are garbage imo. my bluetooth Jlab's have a way better sound then anything moondrop has out, they just seem to quiet and its not easy to EQ them on my phone. that mini keyboard i have as well, used it for a pi build and its so great for anything. even good for trolling a friend, plug the dongle into the back of his pc and watch him rage when you control his pc. im lucky i dont have stick drift but in the steam settings it shows it could be an issue down the line.
The Steam Controller does actually have Bluetooth (BLE) mode! You can use that mode to connect to any bluetooth pc/phone, too. Valve did unlock that functionality a few years after Steam Controller release, so it makes sense that a lot of people didnt see that update.
I would highly recommend staying away from the moondrop arias. They have a design flaw where the drivers are prone to break, I've had 2 replacement drivers and they've both failed, and it seemed like a common issue in the comment section where I commented about this before. Moat reviewers try them for like a few hours and notice that they do sound and feel very good but don't actually use it for multiple hundreds of hours like a normal person would if this was their daily driver
eBay has tons of valve dongles…cheap Edit: in fact, I also just picked up the steam controller case I never knew existed. Even has a spot for the dongle lol
You litteraly wmd up spending double or more on the steamdeck after you fall in love... its ridiculous but not only is it good buissness. I feel GOOD about buying it all lol. Cause it's just so awesome Edit: i do wish it was a tiny bit more user friendly. It took me like an hour to figure out how to customize the entirety of the console. The left track pad? Good luck with that it's quite hidden in comparison. Think it's 4-6 clicks just to find the settings location? No regrets here though. I shattered my expectations more then anything ever could. Makes the switch look like and feel like trash. My switch is no collecting dust..
Totally checking out Deck Buttons now! 👍 But, fight me ... 11:30 ... those things are the most useless product you can get for your Deck. The sticks won't magically break when carrying the Deck in a proper Deck case or a padded generic case or bag. Plus: you don't need to buy them, you can simply print them for a few cents if you have a 3D printer. 🤣
I use the Hazard4 Bandoleer bag for my Steam Deck. Its a sling style pack with a hard shell, and carries all the SD accessories I need (Besides, like, a monitor.) I highly recommend it for Steam Deck users.
In my oppion, at least 2/3 of these accessories are made in China. So guys you should understand, the center of the electronic-geek world is no longer in Japan or US, it's now in China, or more specificly, in Shenzhen. Welcome to enjoy ur geek hobby here.
I must say I love JSaux and their amazing customer service. I don't think I ever saw a company that respects clients that good. And no, I am not a bot (that is what a bot would say I know lol). I bought recently the RGB hub which is awesome (I have connect a wireless keyboard to it, a 4K TV, a mouse and a pendrive) but the short cable was not working so instead they just gave me a gift code (they offered a refund for the cable but I asked for a gift card), so I bought a much needed 3m power supply so I can game in bed an charge at the same time :) Also the RGB backplate with the new vent (and new pre-cut thermal paste for better airflow) is amazing. Playing Doom Eternal at 60 FPS dropped from 75ºC to 55-63ºC, and the fan dropped from the usual 5000-6000 to 4000...I couldn't believe my eyes.
AirPods Max are my favorite headphones I’ve ever owned, but usually when gaming people prefer a tethered or 2.4ghz connection to reduce latency. Lately I’ve been using Astro A30 on my ROG Ally. Of course I use the AirPods Max on my IPhone and Mac lol
have to say, all of them are useless (can only speak for me), except the powerbanks or a small usb-c hub with pd when on the go otherwise i only use a normal dock + a ps5 controller when home (or mouse+keyboard)
I think all the things I bought on launch were better. Nreal glasses, trifold keyboardmouse, old jaux dock, form fit hard case, nentendo branded PSU from switch, 8bit do, and a super light portable mouse with wifi and bluetooth, bose earbuds. -I wanted a win laptop /FPS setup/ media setup. All that fits in a hardcase that's about twice the size of the switch - other then the glasses. Hope that helps someone if they want to spend money on all the things - confirmed working. lol
Why no cheaper alternatives I watched 2 recommendations and felt like this is going to be one long add of the expencive stuff. The smiley face charger plenty of working cheap ones just as small. The enclosure well bought an smaller I think alie express one last year that powered a rip server for 384 days no getting hot or turning off (had to turn of for water company guy since I had to move fridge it was on to get to meter) was like under 20euro. The charger omg yeah pay double to look trough the case ...sorry but click bait add like this is an unsub and thumbs down
So is the Bluetooth wireless capability of a device something you Do or do NOT look for in peripherals? Someone needs to slap your writer and or editor because it just feels like you're just pilling up electronic stuff to the camera on to your viewers without any thought but to have them.
It's a video where he's showcasing all of his favorite gadgets, it was covered in the title, that's... how could you POSSIBLY miss the point of this video? Of course it's that.

I just wish for buttons that have colored ABXY, liike xBox controller or Steam controller, just the letters in the correct color sceme :(
Thanks sir!
The link and name for the Shargeek powerbank is wrong. Good video.
Thank you! Just fixed it
Sharkgeek Storm2 Power Bank link directs to Sharge Disk in your description.
Thank you! Just fixed it
Getting a steam deck turned me from a guy who grew up with only consoles into a wannabe pc guy
10/10 would not take that Sharkgeek power bank on a plane. That thing looks like C4
I just want to swap my shoulder buttons and dpad. But all i can find are replacements not upgrades.
I have never ordered something as fast as the sharge disk.
that sharge disk seems great... i feel like i could setup a batocera on it and bring it around with me and flex on friends. the moondrops are easy pass. for under 20 bucks they work, but they are garbage imo. my bluetooth Jlab's have a way better sound then anything moondrop has out, they just seem to quiet and its not easy to EQ them on my phone. that mini keyboard i have as well, used it for a pi build and its so great for anything. even good for trolling a friend, plug the dongle into the back of his pc and watch him rage when you control his pc. im lucky i dont have stick drift but in the steam settings it shows it could be an issue down the line.
The Steam controller firmware can be upgraded and the controller works over standard Bluetooth without the need for the dongle
Yeah absolutely - but you can't wake the Steam Deck without the dongle
@@FanTheDeck A man of my own heart. Those 6 steps to the TV often seem too far away!
@@garyoneil9791🤣🤣 😅
The Steam Controller does actually have Bluetooth (BLE) mode! You can use that mode to connect to any bluetooth pc/phone, too.
Valve did unlock that functionality a few years after Steam Controller release, so it makes sense that a lot of people didnt see that update.
nice video
I would highly recommend staying away from the moondrop arias. They have a design flaw where the drivers are prone to break, I've had 2 replacement drivers and they've both failed, and it seemed like a common issue in the comment section where I commented about this before. Moat reviewers try them for like a few hours and notice that they do sound and feel very good but don't actually use it for multiple hundreds of hours like a normal person would if this was their daily driver
Ha i have had that same repair kit for about 6 months or maybe longer lol. I like it. I keep it i ln my backpack at all times lol.
Sad that the purple Nexode is only at 30W and doesnt work on Steam Deck. I like the design.
Right!? I'll let them know they need to make a 65W version of the Purple one
the powerbank link is redirect me to SHARGE Disk.
Weird. I fixed it so it _should_ be working. Sorry about that. Here's the link: amzn.to/3EPdb0L
eBay has tons of valve dongles…cheap
Edit: in fact, I also just picked up the steam controller case I never knew existed. Even has a spot for the dongle lol
You litteraly wmd up spending double or more on the steamdeck after you fall in love... its ridiculous but not only is it good buissness. I feel GOOD about buying it all lol. Cause it's just so awesome
Edit: i do wish it was a tiny bit more user friendly.
Try the gulikit Kong controller
Totally checking out Deck Buttons now! 👍
But, fight me ... 11:30 ... those things are the most useless product you can get for your Deck. The sticks won't magically break when carrying the Deck in a proper Deck case or a padded generic case or bag. Plus: you don't need to buy them, you can simply print them for a few cents if you have a 3D printer. 🤣
Notification gang
You're a real one!! ♥
Let's go!
Rip. Wanted to buy nexode but they made it with us plug only.
I'll trade ya my new in the box steam controller for those glasses 🤣
Jay-saw, not Jay-sox.
You sir have expensive taste.
Burn in is a myth. Fite me
It's your brain and hearing perception getting used to the sound.
SPIN RHYTHM FANS UNITE
If you’re looking for a plug and play retro gaming SD card, I do a pretty nice build for Umbrella Arcades.
I use AirPods Max with my Steam Deck and for me nothing comes close.
Hope that helps someone if they want to spend money on all the things - confirmed working. lol
Burn-in period is not a real thing
